Ono of course and staff super nice. Dis is da best place fo local grindz in Middle Tennessee.

Stumbled upon this place and I'm glad I did. Hard to find a good teriyaki or Hawaiian bbq place. This one had generous portions, good service and good food. Can't beat that. I'll definitely be coming back here read more

Came here for lunch today and was greet by a friendly staff. I ordered the Kailua pork mini meal and my husband got the teriyaki chicken mini meal. The food was fresh, hot and tons of flavor with good quality of food. Price to portion ratio is good as well. We like to mix our rice with the macaroni salad and it was all delicious. We will definitely be coming here at least once a month if not more often. Stayed full for 5+ hours later. Highly recommend!!!! read more

Amazing Hawaiian themed BBQ place with very fair prices, they give you a ton of food if you choose the plate, it was enough for two full meals. The restaurant is small and cozy, It reminds me of Ono Hawaiian BBQ in AZ, it tastes exactly the same but they don't have any of those restaurants in this area. It's hard to find good Hawaiian food in the south. But this place is great! No complaints! friendly and fast service, great prices, and amazing food! Would definitely come back. read more

My wife and I absolutely love this place. We were stationed in Hawaii for three years with the Army. This place is totally authentic. We love the mixed grill. Steak, chicken, and the short rib are delicious. The white rice is always spot on. We love the Yum Yum sauce and Sriracha combo to put on the rice. Macaroni salad is the best anywhere. Prices are very reasonable and portions are huge. Highly recommended. read more

It was good, however I have had better. BUT this begger cannot be picky. I will probably order this again. I think My fave is the rice & macaroni salad....of course the carbs. read more

Aloha Express - Sorry, I couldn't wait! - Hawaiian Near Me - Murfreesboro, Tennessee

I would recommend this spot to anyone wanting Hawaiian bbq!!! I loved this since living in CA and was waiting for one to open locally. The staff is so friendly, attentive and welcoming the minute you open the door! They are super helpful in describing the menu options and checking in during your meal. The environment and ambiance is perfect and well kept. We've had their spam musubi (10/10!!!), chicken bbq plate, bbq mix plate and short rib plate. They were all served fresh and hot, and did not disappoint! If you're looking to try Hawaiian bbq for the first time or a spot to get your fix locally... I recommend this place! read more

Amazing food. The service is also great! We were fortunate to enjoy local Hawaii food here in Tennessee. Highly recommended. Only negative it's close to 3 hours away from our home. Hoping they'll open another restaurant in West Knoxville. read more

I loved Aloha Express! It's truly Hawaiian food. The staff greeted us with a smile and a "aloha". Restaurant was decorated in Hawaiian decor. I had the mini bque beef lunch. The meat was tender, Mac salad was delicious! I have been to Hawaii many times and this is truly legit! We will be back! read more

We stopped in tonight to try this place out. What a fantastic experience! We ordered a variety of foods to try. For an appetizer, we got a couple orders of spam musubi. The spam was fried so nicely and overall the musubi had a great flavor. For our entree, we got the Aloha family pack, which came with three proteins, rice, and macaroni salad. For our proteins, we got the Hawaiian BBQ chicken, kalua pork, and kalbi short ribs. All of these were absolutely phenomenal! The kalua pork has this amazing smoky flavor and they include this sweet sauce that makes it so delicious when combined! The kalbi short ribs were incredibly tender and tasted amazing. The bbq chicken was cooked to perfection and was so delicious. I'm not going to lie, I figured I probably wouldn't care for the macaroni salad, because it's not really my thing. It was so simple and yummy, I kept grabbing more. For dessert, they had this sponge cake with a custard top and cinnamon dusted on it. It was so good! The yellow sponge cake was light and fluffy. The custard top tastes exactly like rice pudding without rice. And to top it all off, the staff were so amazingly pleasant and friendly and kind. We decided to order this to go and had lovely conversation while we waited. Honestly, we typically avoid new restaurants for the first few weeks after they open, because we know it takes some time to iron out the kinks and get into a good rhythm. I am so glad we broke our rule and went here tonight. I absolutely can't wait to go back and can't recommend this place enough! read more

Food is always amazing, i always order the bbq beef combo and am NEVER disappointed. Ive also had their spam masubi and bbq chicken combo as well which were both just as good. HIGHLY recommend eating here. read more

This is the best Hawaiian food that we have had outside of Hawaii. We have had Hawaiian food all over the Us and this place is fantastic. Everything is homemade and just hits the spot. The salmon salad had super crunchy fresh lettuce, edamame and perfect cucumbers. The katsu chicken is cooked perfectly and it's obvious it's hand breaded. The masubi has the best seaweed (tastes like Maui gas station masubi). The macaroni salad is super authentic (not sweet, like chain restaurants). This is my new favorite local spot!!!! read more

Best meal out I have had in quite a while. My friend, her roommate and I went to a Hawaiian BBQ restaurant yesterday afternoon and it was AMAZING. We got chicken teriyaki, a combo of kalua pork and katsu chicken, and beef and roasted chicken and we shared some Spam musubi. They all came with fried rice (or white rice but we all picked fried), a scoop of macaroni salad and cabbage and broccoli. Everything was amazing. The biggest winners were the pork and the beef. The pork was bursting with flavor and the beef was melt in your mouth tender. We loved the spam musubi too. Macaroni salad was also to die for, and that's not something I would normally eat. I live an hour away, but will be going back next weekend for that beef. Holy cow! I was dreaming about it. Service was wonderful and everyone was SO friendly! I can't wait to go back! read more

We stopped by after seeing a friend's review on Facebook. It was a busy time of day and the place is small but the staff were friendly and professional so they handled the rush very well. We took our food home because seating is limited but the ambience is great inside. I ordered the kalua pork combo with katsu chicken, my husband got the chicken combo and we shared the spam musubi. The portions were large enough to give us both 2 meals and the cost was reasonable. We can't wait to go back! read more

The wife is going to get the spam and fried rice next time. They give you 1 scoop Mac salad and 2 scoop rice. They allow you to switch and get 2 Mac,. So excited for that. Hope people come and try. Everything about our experience was amazing. The cashier was very helpful in describing the dishes and giving us help on our first time. They brought multiple sauces out to our table and the food was all delicious. Would definitely recommend this restaurant! read more

Great food and service. Very original flavors. The meats were tender and very flavorful. The Hawaiian macaroni salad was as I remembered from Hawaii. read more

Ok decided to give this place a shot since the reviews were fairly high. The pro's: this is basically a fast food restaurant and the service was great and the staff were very friendly. The price of this entree was $14.95 and it is a lot of food. Which considering the amount of food it's a fairly decent price. However if you are planning on eating all of the rice and macaroni salad my advice would be to plan a nap afterwards because it's a lot of carbs. The cons: Having lived in Hawaii I would not really consider this Hawaiian food. It's really ok but I don't think I would go out of my way to eat here again. If you are looking for a quick, fairly priced, filling lunch or dinner this is your place. I may go back and try the pork just to see if the experience changes my opinion. Last thing the macaroni salad was very bland and definitely needs some acid. Hope you find your experience different. Good luck to all! read more

Aloha Express - Aloha BBQ Aloha BBQ Mix Combo - Hawaiian Near Me - Murfreesboro, Tennessee

What an amazing restaurant!! I wished we lived closer. Friendly, helpful staff, clean (including an immaculate bathroom), great food with big portions for reasonable prices!! We got the bbq beef-chicken katsu combo and the Aloha meats combo (beef kalbi, bbq beef, bbq chicken) plus the spam matsubi to go. Combos come with 2 scoops delicious white rice, one scoop of tasty macaroni salad and some mixed veggies (cabbage, carrots, broccoli) plus dipping sauces. Everything was hot, fresh, plentiful and delicious! I would eat here all the time if we lived closer. For those unfamiliar with Hawaiian food, when they say "bbq" they mean marinated in teriyaki sauce and grilled. Delicious!! read more

Don't be deceived by the pictures and in small print under the menu it says pictures may not be what you get. I ordered, teriyaki chicken, was supposed to be with fried rice, broccoli and greens. It came with cabbage, no greens and no broccoli and honestly, the chicken was very fatty and oily. read more

My daughter recommended this place and it was well deserved. We went on Sunday around noon. Super crowded but the owner was so gracious in thanking everyone for coming in and showing patience. The food was delicious. We had the kahlua pork and katsu chicken. Their macaroni salad is phenomenal! Will definitely be going back for more!! Very reasonably priced. Don't be fooled by their mini meals, their servers are very generous. Staff is very friendly! read more

I'm so glad I happened to notice this new business the other day! We decided to try it out for lunch and were not disappointed. We got the Aloha BBQ mix and a side of potstickers and the portions were generous for the 2 of us to share. The BBQ came with rice, steamed vegetables, and macaroni salad. The sauces were on the side and were the perfect accompaniment. It was busy when we arrived around 12:45, but we only had to wait about 5 minutes for our food. We definitely want to go back & try more! read more

It's discouraging there is not any vegan or vegetarian options available. Tofu is the cheapest protein and goes well with Hawaiian flavors, was looking forward to this. read more

I tried Aloha Express for the first time over the weekend and I'm already planning my next visit. This place just opened, so they're still ironing out a few kinks, but trust me--it's absolutely worth checking out. The combo meals are an insane value. For the price, you get huge portions--seriously, enough to feed two people or have leftovers for later. I got the Aloha mix combo, the BBQ + Katsu combo, a Loco Moco, and spam musubi and everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The rice and sides were on point too--comfort food with a Hawaiian twist. Service was friendly and welcoming, even with the hustle of being newly opened. You can tell they're working hard to get everything running smoothly, and they've got the right attitude. If you're in the area and craving big flavors without breaking the bank, definitely give Aloha Express a try. Support local and get full while you're at it! read more

The space is absolutely breathtaking as well as the customer service is absolutely amazing. All the staff are welcoming and warm and if you have any questions, they are more than happy to answer any questions. I ordered the teriyaki chicken with white rice and broccoli. I was so excited to surprise my husband with this place when I heard about it. I called when I was on my way and it was ready when I walked in! Fast service. The chicken katsu was perfect and just like it should be. The quantity of meat was great too! The serving for the macaroni salad was on the smaller side, but it lacked flavor so we enjoyed the chicken and the sauces without it. We will definitely go back for the chicken katsu! read more

Wonderful food and the best customer service! Food was delicious and the hostess was very considerate that we were in a hurry, delivering our food quickly. Then our son dropped his meal and she was so generous to make him feel better and even replaced the dish. Can't recommend highly enough! read more

First time eating here. I loved the Hawaiian BBQ place in Cool Springs years ago and was excited when I saw this place open. The Katsu Chicken was awesome! Loved the katsu sauce that came with it. We also got the BBQ chicken. It's just a chicken breast with BBQ sauce on it. Nothing special and won't get again. The rice was dry. Not bad but the texture was off. It was like I got the day-old rice that had been left out overnight. The macaroni salad was not good. It had a strange flavor. One bite and it went in the trash. The thing that saved my review from being lower was the Katsu chicken. If I come back, it will be for that, but I'll need to figure out something else for the sides. read more

I wish they'd get a location in Memphis because it was that delicious! The service was friendly and professional, the seating area wasn't very big but I ordered mine to-go. I got the BBQ & Chicken Katsu combo and everything was so good and the serving was definitely worth what I paid. I ended up with 2.5 meals from it. Very nice ambiance, island vibes. Awesome food and service! We will definitely be back! The ribs were very good and the macaroni salad was delicious!
