Photos Satomi sent of Obito during his stay
Taylor L.

If you're looking for a place to board your kitty, this is the place I would 100% recommend. As a first time fur mom, I wasn't sure where I could leave him while I went on vacation besides the vet. Luckily, I remembered driving past this place and so I gave them a call. Satomi was happy to take in Obito on such short notice as well! My husband and I were nervous about leaving him on our first trip, but our minds were eased when Satomi sent us videos and photos of our baby. We were even surprised he made friends with the kitty next door! Obito say 10/10 would recommend to a furrrriend ;]

Kiki's room

This was the first time our 14 year old cat, Kiki, did not stay at home while we traveled. Needless to say we were nervous, and researched our options then decided on Aloha Cat Hotel. We felt very confident that they would take good care of her for the two weeks, paying much attention to feeding schedules, additional supplements in her diet, and her preferences. We also were impressed when we visited and her quarters were a nice, 4 ft x 4 ft x 6 ft room, and not a cage. It was brightly lit, super clean and so pleasant! She would enjoy the air conditioning because of her long fur. While on our trip we received videos and were able to see her making friends with other cats for the first time and how she was happily purring with lots of attention. She enjoyed it so much we would look forward to having her in their care again in the future. Thank you, Satomi and Rick!

Toro welcome sign displayed upon check-in!

Satomi and Richard took incredible care of our cat Toro while we were out of country for 2 weeks. She regularly sent updates via photos and videos, assuring us that Toro was doing well and having her own staycation while we were away! Her accommodations for the cats are very spacious, and the whole area is impeccably clean. We wouldn't hesitate to use her services again, and highly encourage others to try the same! Thank you so much, Kiana, Kovy, and Toro!

I am so happy to have found Satomi & Richard at Aloha Cat Hotel. I have used a few other places for cat boarding and none of the other cat hotels even compare to the quality of service here! My cats were very well taken care of while I was gone, and I received regular photo and video updates of them. Satomi is so good with the cats, and my babies adore her! Although they were shy and uncertain the first few days, by the time I came to pick them up, they wanted to stay with their Aunty Satomi! I already booked their staycation for the holidays I highly recommend the Aloha Cat Hotel for cat boarding on Oahu!

Wow!!! Best Cat Hotel in Hawaii!!! Our cat did not want to leave Aloha Cat Hotel. The hotel was conveniently located downtown and has a few parking spaces for customers. Inside was super clean, quiet, each kennel was much bigger, and air conditioned. Satomi, the owner, was very knowledgeable and a cat whisperer. She took such wonderful care of him. I cannot thank her enough for superb job and often send us his activity videos, almost everyday! And I know other cat hotels in Oahu charge for any playtime and videos... We felt less anxious about him while we were traveling. Satomi also let cats out from the kennel and let each cat explore the common area outside of the kennels. Our cat is not friendly but with Satomi, he was so comfortable that I had to wait quite some time until he was ready to go home! We recommend Aloha Cat Hotel to anyone, very best Cat Hotel! Thank you so much Satomi, Squirt misses you! Please continue your five star care!

Awesome little place to board your cats while you're away. Satomi emailed us photos and video of Stripes literally *every day* for the whole week we were gone. She showed excellent judgment in handling his food/medicine needs. The stalls are very well appointed -- a big step up from the crates/cages we were used to. Only downside is that Stripes wasn't terribly eager to leave when we came to pick him up.

Mango is enjoying her Pawsitive Suite! She didn't want to leave

Great service and frequent communication. I have an old and grumpy cat but he warmed up to the place much quicker than I anticipated.

Happy Puppy Kingdom - his little photoshoot at daycare

Happy Puppy Kingdom

So I was looking for a pet boarding for ten days in the month of May 2026. We live in town and…read morewe're looking for someplace for our fur-baby, 3yo German shepherd terrier mix, to stay while we were gone. We were looking for a reputable place who would care for our pet as if she was home. Someplace she would feel safe since we know she has anxiety issues and is really shy around strangers and may be aggressive if provoked. We tried leaving her with family, but because of her temperament, they suggested a boarding care. She is great with their dog, but they too were looking for boarding for their pet. And because they go to a pet daycare weekly, they were sending their pet to their favorite pet daycare. So while I was searching a came across Happy Puppy Kingdom. The website and instagram pages showed doggies having fun and their prices were reasonable and their care packages were affordable. We made contact through Yelp and on to our introductory appointment. We also were able to provide Kamalani's vaccine records. As certain vaccines must be given in order to book the appointment's "meet and greet". The Owner, Sophia, was so caring, gentle, and loving towards Kama. She talked to her and built a trust for us and Kama. So we started to take Kama for weekly visits starting in January 2026. We knew Kama was going to be reluctant to go because she hasn't been around other dogs a lot and only family & family pets, and knew getting her used to HPK may take a while. As the months went by she started to know which days she got to go visit "her friends". We literally asked the day before if she wanted to "see your friends!"" And she would get so excited. Jumping up, wagging her tail, looking around for Miss Sophia. And when I'd drop her off she can't wait to get out of the car. In April we did the first overnight, and it was hard, for us. Constantly looking at the clock, expecting her to greet us at the door, and her hugs and kisses...nothing!! But she did great!! HPK said she didn't eat the food we provided, so they gave her their homemade food & she really enjoyed it. So when the days came for us to leave we knew Kama was in great care with HPK. We got pictures and videos of Kama when we were away. And it turned out, our in-laws also sent their 7yo hybrid poodle, Mochi, there too. And they said Kama protected her when she was scared. When we came to pick them up they were so happy to see us!! We know Happy Puppy Kingdom took such great care of our fur-babies and that this is a loving and caring place to leave them if we ever plan another trip. Sophia reassured us and gained our trust & Kama loves her too!!!

Happy Puppy Kingdom has been a wonderful place for my dog. I adopted a two-year-old rescue in…read moreJanuary, and when I brought him home, he struggled with significant separation anxiety and was fearful around other dogs. I knew that whenever I needed to travel, he would likely do better in a boarding environment than with in-home care because being left alone was especially stressful for him. With that in mind, I started looking for a boarding facility that also offered daycare so he could gradually become comfortable with the environment before any overnight stays. I found Happy Puppy Kingdom through Google and was immediately drawn to the fact that they specialize in smaller dogs. I also appreciated that Sophia requires an assessment before accepting new dogs. When I brought my dog in for his assessment several months ago, he was quite nervous. Sophia was incredibly kind, patient, and understanding as he adjusted to the facility. She kept me updated with photos and videos as he gradually inspected the facility and settled in. Now my dog absolutely loves his weekly visits to Happy Puppy Kingdom. I brought him for daycare once a week for three to four months, which helped build his confidence and familiarity with the staff and environment. When the time finally came for his first overnight stay, he had a fantastic experience. I cannot thank Sophia and her team enough for keeping my baby safe, happy, and well cared for while I was away. Sophia is friendly, caring, and genuinely passionate about the dogs in her care. It is clear that she and her staff are dedicated to creating a safe, positive, and enriching environment where dogs can thrive. I highly recommend Happy Puppy Kingdom to anyone looking for a safe, welcoming, and fun place for their dog. My dog has come such a long way since I adopted him, and the Happy Puppy Kingdom has played a huge role in his development.

The Vet, Dr Pang, had poor bedside manner. Came in already dismissive of my complaints for my dog. She wasn't prepared when she came in the room. As if she didn't know why I was there. Said she couldn't examine my dogs nostrils because my dog is excited and keeps moving. Said we needed to sedate my dog. Didn't have any light or anything to look at my dogs nose. Some questions/comments she made that were annoying: "Are you sure she's five months old, she seems older cause she's big" "How did you look in your dogs nose?" "She's not sneezing now" "She seems to be breathing normal" (her first time meeting my dog, doesn't know my dog is not a mouth breather) "Did you hear reverse sneezing" (as if i know what that is) I had to get on the floor to help hold my dog so she would look at both nostrils or try to with a light. Also theres an exam table not sure why we're on the floor. She offered very little info into what she thought was going on with my dog. Only discussed further when i kept asking questions. She prescribed a steroid taper but on the bottle the instructions were incorrect did not indicate a taper. Did not appreciate her bedside manner and lack of trying to look at my dog for the issue i brought her in for. Then as i was leaving i got blocked in to the small parking lot by an employee that parked her truck with the bed blocking the way out. That employee came out and saw me unable to leave but waited till i asked her to move the truck to move it. Gets two stars because of the front staff.
