YOU CAN CONTROL YOUR FAN IN YOUR ROOM! I .... I think I'm an Aloft guy now? I have been staying at them recently as the prices are just right. The rooms are smaller but who cares, it's a rack and a toilet. I'll be just fine. When you walk in it's modern, everyone is friendly, and it has a great smell. Guess I'm hooked by the scent. *shrugs* Location wise this place is situated perfectly. Walkable for food, 7 minutes from the hospital (work), and 12 from the airport. I didn't go to the bar last night, but the gal behind the bar was laughing with guests and genuinely seemed to be happy. The young lady (holy shit I'm getting old) behind the desk was super nice and accommodating. Overall, really like this place! You will too!

Great gym. I just listened to the Deftones for about an hour.

This hotel has been my home in Lubbock a few times now, and it is a consistently good place to stay. It is in a great location, with easy walking access to shops and restaurants, and with easy driving access to the loop. The staff here is usually friendly and helpful, and the common areas and rooms are clean. The bathroom is now stocked with the fancier Marriott shampoo/body wash accessories rather than the old shower wall pumps full of the same. Other than that, the Aloft has the same feel as others. Modern and efficient. A nice change is an improvement in the quality of their refrigerators. These small fridges are "smart fridges" that excel at keeping your snacks and drinks as cold as you need them. I enjoy my stays here at this property, and the comfort of the hotel takes the sting out of being in West Texas.

Generally, I love the Aloft franchise. This one didn't meet the standards (or actually the enjoyment & comfort) that most of them have. The place had the normal stylish, modern look and feel. The staff were great as usual. The room was pretty clean. The problem was the noise. We were overlooking the pool, bar-patio and the noise was deafening. Literally, it was so intrusive that there wasn't a chance of any relaxation, peace, or semblance of quiet. If you arrive late or are at the party, no harm. If not, make sure you DEMAND a room not overlooking that area on the inside of the hotel. Finally, the shade does a brilliant job except for the 2 inch gap around it. Why bother having that good of a shade if they can't install it? Do NOT go here if you aren't alone and either oof you usually gets up at night. There is a fogged window between the bathroom and bed area. If you turn on the light at night, everyone gets the light! That was a cool style but a dumb design in reality. Very disturbing if your companion has to get up or has different hours.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The check in was easy, clean rooms, and friendly staff. It is a beautifully decorated hotel. With a bar and kitchen staying open until 12am. They have a pool table and plenty of seating downstairs in the lobby for study night, meetings, and whatever else you might need. They have a cute indoor poll and small gym. Rooms look just like you would picture a loft to look like. I highly recommend staying here. Now they do not have a microwave in the room, however for the comfort and the price it's something to look over.

Smooth check in to a great hotel with perfect location for shopping and food/drinks! Indoor pool and play area so it is kid friendly as well! Frankie had really good customer service upon checking in as he has an upbeat and positive energy that quickly transferred to myself (long travel day across country with no sleep the night before) ! Highly recommend and will be my go to as the beds are always nice, rooms clean and last but certainly not least the bar is 5-12am daily!

This is the shower head when referring to the water pressure issue. There are 7 or so pathetic streams of water shown.

Two words can describe the Aloft. Cutting. Corners. When you first look at the big, looming hotel that backdrops the shopping area, Dave & Buster's, and several restaurants, one can't help but think that this HAS to be the best hotel one could possibly get! Nothing could be further from the truth. While the other reviews do a nice job of showing why this place is so terrible, let this review serve to reinforce that idea. In our stay, we encountered first an oddly pungent smell in the lobby. No big deal, we'll just scurry up to our rooms and try to ignore it. Ah well, it's in the hallways too. At least the room doesn't have it. Take note of this for later, this will be important. After that, we had a handful of spotty outlets. No big deal, we'll just plug into another one. Sure, they work, but the hit-or-miss nature of them makes me only wonder how bad the other rooms could be. Moreover, we noticed the toilet paper was wet with god-knows-what on it. Whether it's urine, toilet water, or just straight-up faucet water, we never cared to tell. We just tossed it out and requested a different roll. So the last three things weren't that bad, right? Just something many would consider the typical hotel 1-in-10 fluke. Well, we were then met with what really sealed the nail in the coffin. The shower. Oh my god, the shower. Attached to this review is a picture of the shower running at the MAXIMUM setting. Look at it. Let's count it together. One blast of water? Five? Twenty? Nope! Seven blasts of water. That's all you get here. Seven. Now, you would think that these seven measly blasts of water were blasts. Nope. More like pathetic streams. Taking an actual shower took me...at least 32 minutes. To get actually clean. We timed it after my Mom mentioned it during her shower. So, folks, this is where the smell came from. No one can shower properly because their water pressure is awful. This hotel cut corners and played us for fools. Don't let them fool you too.

This place is a dump. The staff is ok. Not warm or friendly but just ok. The cleanliness and maintenance is in desperate need of help. The first room we were given had shower caulk literally hanging down from the walls. Idk what happened in there but I want no part of that. Second room we were given smelled off and was not clean. The hallway actually smelled musty. The room was dirty. We put a towel on the floor and it got wet from shower. When we wiped up some water on the floor and turned it over the towel was really dirty. Floors aren't clean. The sheets had a weird stain. The bathroom was filthy. Gross stains that looked like mucous splattered across the back wall of the sink and tons of dust accumulated everywhere. I am Including pics of the bathroom and the mirror at the entrance showing how much dust is sitting there. Like it's never been cleaned. The shower doors had accumulated dark brown hairs and gross brown gunk. They really need to clean better in this place. I felt dirty when I left.

Is parking at the Aloft secure?

Although there is not gated parking, I felt like the parking location was secure. There are gates around the property from the nearby shopping, but no official gate. We felt very secure at the location.…

This place WAS a really nice hotel, it has been run down over time sadly…read more Im not really a bad review writer but if I am paying a premium for a hotel I should be receiving what I pay for. Which didn't happen. I booked this for my wedding guests and wedding party; most hotels feel like a hospital but this one seemed more cozy and unique. Which is true its cozy but clearly they have stopped doing normal maintenance on it. Which was is embarrassing being i put my closest friends and family there. Booking was a pain through their "portal" and a huge hassle and the booking agent was almost never available. When I arrived my room smelled musty, not a huge deal to me but not cool to make me smell weird. The bathroom and counter needed a wipe down. The previous guests towel was still damp and hanging on the door. So that makes me think that it was cleaned well, maybe at all.‍ The head board had grease spots where the previous how many ever guests had rested there head as well as toothpaste splatters on the mirror frame. Also the AC wasn't really working all that well in my room but I think maybe it was just mine. Then there was many cosmetic issues like peeling wallpaper, damaged tiles, missing paint and huge dings in the hall walls. I had to ask multiple times for them to refresh the bathroom. Some of the staff is nice some not so much. Like I said it WAS a nice place but clearly needs better management and repairs. I paid for better.

I mean for 140$ we got a suite with queen beds (comfortable) and a room with a living room. However…read morethe hotel itself needs some TLC. Although the bed was clean and comfortable, the chair at the desk was really wobbly so no one was comfortable sitting there and most of the furniture was pretty badly dinged. Then I guess there was a special singer in the courtyard which made it hard to hear the tv or anything in our room. I do appreciate it but trying to put a kiddo to bed with loud live music made it hard to do. Overall, I appreciated our stay, and again for the price it's plenty of clean space, with a little wiggle room for improvement.

Overall the hotel is very good and is close to excellent. There were a few minor issues, but fortunately the front desk addressed my concerns. I am so glad I stayed at the Overton for my graduation. The customer service is top-notch which overcame the small issue of the loose border panel in room 1302 and the pillows not having pillow cases. This issue was quickly fixed and we were given breakfast vouchers as an apology. Overall this hotel is great and I will stay again whilst visiting Lubbock. (Suggestion for improvement, put a safe in each room). Despite the minor flaws, I will stay again and recommend others to stay at the Overton, too! Oh, the items offered at the breakfast buffet are delicious, especially the tomato grits, which I never had until staying at the Overton. The pool area is a nice place to gather. Thank you for providing a backdrop for a photo spot for graduation. Keep up the great work! I am eager to stay again the next time I visit Lubbock.

She said e pool was open when we complained all the anent were not available. Apparent, they just expect you to just ignore the dirt that's settled at the bottom. Additional photos to show the housekeeping services. Lazilymade the bed and didn't reset the pillows. Didn't take the time top prepare or properly clean the room, so don't lift your toilet lid. They likely don't either. The other room photos are likely for larger corporate or partner events. Leisurely travel is night and day because our room looked nothing like the photos. When it comes to shower water pressure, bring your own tools to clear the jets in the shower heads. These things have enough calcium build up to cure osteoporosis. In closing, Selena was unprofessional and needs to work on her people skills. She's also the one that said tue "dirt tank", aka pool, was open for use. She needs to be fired or at least get some actual hospitality management training. The only plus side was proximity to the Tech campus and Logie's. Now: bring your own laundry bag because athe one they gave us was the size of a gift bag ‍
