I was trying to hunt down some board shorts and decided to stop by the local Tilly's since I…read moreremember it being a place I could go to when I was younger to find all sorts of clothes. Well, it seems times have changed (or, most likely, I have changed). They still have a very surf/skate culture feel to the store. It's slightly dark & 'edgy' but not enough that it would scare your grandma out. They leave that up to the groups of high schoolers aimlessly roaming the store in packs. They make it tough to move around as they'll just hang out in a section goofing off. You want to look around that area? Too bad. They're not even going to acknowledge your presence there. I ended up leaving shortly after coming in as I knew it wouldn't be worth my time. It seems like, at least for the men's inventory, they have a few of several styles, but not a ton of variety. I hope the women's section has better variety but I can't speak for that. I just know their men's swim section was tiny & their section of currently hip (read: overpriced) t-shirts was big. I guess my days of shopping at Tilly's have passed. Maybe one day I can pass the cap off to one of my kids.

When I walked inside, I went straight to look at their hats selections. I then started walking to their sunglasses since I saw the Oakley sign but didn't see any of Oakley sunglasses in their display. I check out a couple of their tshirts and they had some nice one like Wolverine. They carry backpacks here as well but it's all behind the counter so you'll have to ask someone for help. They have the kids or boys clothing toward the back of the store and also the fitting room as well. The prices will vary here so if you don't like it then just shop elsewhere or see if you can find it cheaper at another store in the mall. They also carry Stanley cups here as well.

Bull has a nice mix of super pricey items and on trend items at a value. For example, I spotted a silky amazingly detailed top for about $300+ and my friend loved the $35 ripped jeans stacked on the display table. Fitting rooms are the roomiest I've ever been in, complete with carpet, Victorian print black & white wallpaper, and a chair with a pair of shoes strategically propped up for the impulse buyer in you. The employees are super friendly and very accommodating, which I loved. Their selection is a bit limited compared to the bigger boot barn locations but in contrast to some smaller ones it's pretty great. Their sale racks are always full of cool stuff. As far as value goes, you pay for quality which boot barn offers so it's definitely not a cheap store to visit or buy things from; especially if you want good boots.

They have a variety of different style bags throughout the store as well as accessories, clothing and some men's. **They do have another location in a different area of just men's coach items. Usually everything in the store is the outlet price, unless they are having a special during the month with an extra percentage off. I noticed they also have new arrivals in store from coach itself that are full price and they don't fall under the percentage off discounts like everything does. It's the display right when you walk in, a little deceiving as you think the bags are outlet price and they aren't but now I know what to look forward to when the new season of bags drop in markdowns.

When I walked in, I was greeted by a sales associate who then approached me and asked if I needed assistance. I politely told her that I was just looking. Despite that, she continued to approach me and bombard me with information. I again explained that I was just looking. She would briefly walk away, only to come back and tell me about the features of different bags. I explained to her that I was already familiar with the bags and their features because I had been looking at them online. At that point, I simply wanted to try the bags on. I was being polite but intentionally brief because I was trying to communicate that I wanted to shop independently. As I looked at other bags to try on, the same thing continued. She repeatedly explained the features of the bags even after I had already told her that I was aware of them and was simply trying them on. Unfortunately, the experience became so uncomfortable that I ultimately decided to leave. I felt like I was being targeted or pressured because the associate was desperate to make a sale, rather than being allowed to shop at my own pace. I now know which bags I want, but because of this experience, I will be purchasing them elsewhere. Associates should certainly be available to assist customers, but they also need to recognize when a customer has clearly communicated that they would prefer to browse independently. Respecting those boundaries would make for a much more comfortable and positive shopping experience.
