I know it is odd to post a review prior to the actual wedding, but the service I have received so far merits a stellar recommendation. From my first interaction with Rhealynne to most recently the sample centerpiece she provided for my catering tasting, she has been nothing short of a dream to work with...she is so warm and pleasant, knowledgeable and is just so talented...the sample centerpiece that she brought to my catering tasting was so beautiful, like a still life painting from the Museum of Fine Arts...it was more beautiful than I could have imagined...I feel SO grateful that she is my florist for my wedding and I can't wait to see what magic she will create on my wedding day! read more

Ordered 2 arrangements for a funeral at 2 different price points - though the formats were different (basket, stand), there was no difference between them in terms of size, amount & type of flowers. Also, in talking with relatives, I realized I paid a lot more than others did - perhaps the Almquist arrangements had nice flower varieties but didn't really stand-out as being nicer overall. Bottomline - nice flowers but if price is a factor, you may want to look elsewhere. read more

I used to live in Quincy, but moved out of state two years ago. Since then, Almquist has been my go-to florist for all the lovely people we left behind in Quincy. The people who answer the telephone are friendly, knowledgeable, and never act like they're too busy to take care of you. The flowers are always fresh and beautiful, and I feel confident when I tell them to make something gorgeous. I have sent flowers for some important events and have always been more than satisfied with result. I'd post pictures, but the flowers I send are a thousand miles away! I was referred to Rhealynne by a friend and I am SO happy she did! Rhealynne is unbelievably talented. On our first meeting, I went in with pictures of what I wanted. We discussing budget and she gave me alternative options that looked incredibly close, if not identical, for a price I could afford. The woman knows her flowers! She also has a keen eye for floral beauty and recommended different arrangements and floral ideas I had never thought of that were stunning. She was organized and always quick to respond with any questions or changes to my order that happened throughout our planning process. Made arrangements for two custom flower arrangements for a bridal shower. Colors were purple and white. I was very disappointed to see what was delivered vs what I had envisioned/requested. Frankly it was ugly. Specifically asked for shades of purples and agreed to some lime green accents,very full, lush and round, paid in cash and entrusted that the staff understood what I had requested. Very little purple, lots of greens "Pink Snapdragons" along with red dahlias. Never mind the awful colors the latter two defeated my requested for a very full, lush, round arrangement. I understand that lead time and availability of products come into play but I feel that a call back to the customer whom placed the order should of been given options in comparison to what was originally discussed. Very disappointed and will never place an order through Almquist Flowerland. read more
