Stopped by here with wife and kids yesterday. This is the place you would eat at if you were stuck by a hunger attack at the Cathedral and just couldn't be bothered to walk a few blocks further. Which is exactly why we stopped here. (The person having a hunger attack was a 3 year old girl.)
The food was serviceable. It wasn't particularly great, but it was edible. The reason for 2 stars is that the waitstaff was just downright cranky and unpleasant. I ordered a dish for our two kids to split. When it arrived, the waiter seemed very put off by the request for a second plate. A request for a second drink met a similar look of disgust and then went completely unheeded. After requesting the check, then waiting for 20 minutes or so, my wife asked another member of the waitstaff to look into getting the bill for us. He responded that it wasn't his responsibility and then said some extremely rude things to her. We finally got the check. They don't take credit cards. Sort of used to that in Spain, and a minor inconvenience, but if you've got a restaurant just feet from the biggest tourist attraction on the whole island... you just might want to buy a credit card reader, no?
I was told by my wife that the bathrooms lacked toilet paper. And my daughter refused to use them due to excessive levels of "disgusting".
Wife wants to give this place one star. But I didn't get sick from the food, nor did any of my children. (Wife refused to eat, following trip to bathroom.) So yay! read more
