First, I like to support local business and would rather not purchase online. Recently (within a month) bought something at Almaz. The glass piece broke (accident). I went in to purchase a new glass piece. The price was more than I was given with the original purchase. I asked if the store could honor the original sale price to help out with this issue. I was told no and offered no assistance. Bottom Line, the pieces are overpriced. The employees were less than helpful. They could have had a customer for life but instead now I write out this review. I did not actually buy from this store. I went inside to inquire if they had a specific product. I will admit they have a pretty decent variety of items for sale. The employee I encountered was really nice and helpful with my questions. But in my review this place lost a star because their pricing is ridiculous. The item I wanted, I knew the normal retail price, but this shop was charging near double. To start off I go here for hookah supplies only. First complaint is they buy a certain amount of shisha (flavored tobacco) in which when the good flavors are out they will not order more until the horrible flavors are bought out. So their variety in flavor is poor. Coals are the second thing needed for the hookah. They were out of the 40mm three kings coal for 3 weeks straight; being one of the most popular types of coal you'd think they would constantly have them in stock. Third, there's been so many times I've came before 10 which is their listed closing time and the doors locked wth the lights off. What kind of business closes before the time they themselves have put. Will be buying my supplies online from now one, they'll be more reliable shipping it to me than going here and them not having the coals and nasty flavors, if their open that is. If I could rate them no stars I would but I guess the workers there are nice, high turnover rate so you'll barely see the same worker there. And they uneducated in the hookah side of the smoke shop, as for I cannot speak on behalf of the pipes/pieces. The point of my review, do not go here, you'll waste your time. I came in here looking for my first Hookah and Jeremy went beyond to explain to me the different hookahs and flavors. This place was phenomenal and the prices weren't bad at all. I highly recommend this place for anyone. I will def be back because of the service I received as a first time buyer of hookah. read more

This place is a rip off, drive a few minutes down 1&9 south to Woodbridge or Elizabeth and you will find same products at atleast 40% lower, bought Juul pods wanted $25, whereas every smoke smoke sells for 15-18$, they don't care for business or their clients and are very rude. This place sucks. The worst customer service ever. The girl with the Multi colored hair in the nose ring is so rude. I spent so much money in the store. And when I come in there she greets you as what by the way were closing in a little bit what else do you want any questions you have for her her responses I don't know. She is really quick to sell you something and then get you the hell out of the store . when you need help or assistance you are on your own. Do not buy from the store. Their customer service sucks. And when you asked to talk to the owner. You're going to get the same response every time. She's on vacation. I will never spend another dime in the store again. This place is a definite health code violation. Bugs everywhere , open juices and cartridges. (Yes with "stuff" in them) , spiderwebs, and garbage everywhere . The employees are nice but there is never a manager there if needed to express concern. This place is very overpriced. There's a vape store down the street that's half the price. "Good Guy Vapes" . I recommend them rather than wasting your money here. Not only that but their products rarely ever work. Keep in mind there are no returns or exchanges. So excited to have found Almaz!! I moved to this area last year and still had to go into the city to find a good shop and now we have Almaz right in our own backyard. The employees are so knowledgeable and helpful, and willing to show you anything or answer any questions. The selection of products is the best around as well. They are a little bit overpriced on every item they sell. Right now am outside the sip and it's locked. With the notice saying they will be back in 5 mins. It's been more than 10 mins waiting. Overall it's the only place in the nearby vicinity where I get the afzal pan rasna flavor which is why I go to this place. Other than that nothing different nothing great. read more
