BLT, bacon pancakes, amazing fruit side with fresh mango!

This was a great stop on our way home to Colorado Springs. The bacon pancakes were amazing but the stand out was the Sracha honey BLT. It is clear that someone in the kitchen cares a lot about putting out high quality fresh food. The side of fruit had fresh mango! Highly recommend.

Conveniently located downtown but still just off the highway, this cafe was perfect for a quick lunch on our drive to Santa Fe. Service was friendly, the atmosphere pleasant, and the food yummy with very generous portions. Glad we stopped there!

The green chile scramble and Cajun hash were excellent choices for a mid-morning meal. The place was bustling, but the service was excellent. The space was simple but functional. Easy parking is available outside, and it's a must-stop if you are heading through Trinidad or staying there.

We went for brunch and the selection and food was amazing, as was our server! Highly recommend this place if visiting Trinidad.

The BEST breakfast, at the start of my road trip! Clean, with a lovely smiling young hostess and lots of seating. I enjoyed a tasty fresh-brewed decaf, and the plentiful Cajun Hash; potatoes, bacon, green onions, cheese, eggs (sunny-side-up), substituting fruit for toast. A side of grits I added, substituting butter for cheese, and these did not disappoint. Right off the highway on a minor "main" street with plenty of parking. Interior is simple/spacious with high ceiling. Within the building next to the dining area is a curio shop with wonderful clothing and accessories, and also a skate shop (I regret not taking more photos). This was a treat for-sure. Recommend.

Stopped by as we were driving to New Mexico and had a surprisingly great lunch ! Fried chicken & grits was perfection, one of the best Cubano sandwiches ever. Kids devoured tacos and blueberry buttermilk pancakes. Server was friendly even though she was managing while place solo in late afternoon. We also found a couple cool things at the thrift shop in here. Restroom was clean, parking was easy.

We went in on a Saturday around 11am and were seated right away. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful in helping us find what would work for my husband's gluten free diet. We ended up with some winners! The Cubano Sandwich was super flavorful and the cauliflower was out of this world delicious! My husband had the rice bowl and he loved his meal as well. We definitely recommend coming to this place if you're looking for a laid back breakfast or brunch.

    Kale salad

Stopped through for lunch. There was a sign on the door saying they would close at 1:30 for Thanksgiving week. I'm not sure if that is why there was only one waitress and what appeared to be just one cook but that definitely affected our experience. We had the kale salad, Pom Frites, and the Shrimp Poorboy. The Kale salad was good, the Pom Frites were okay as was the sandwich. The only disappointment was the sandwich was presented without the fries which the waitress said came with them. When asked she left and told the kitchen to make some fries. For that reason, the sandwich was completely eaten by the time the fries came out so it was disappointing. We probably won't come here again because even though the food was fair, it wasn't remarkable.

Trinidad staple. Great food. Anything you order will be special. Locally owned and operated. Entire team works hard. A must if in Trinidad.

This is our new happy coffee stop. They host an impressive food and beverage menu along with an entire wall of loose leaf tea for a tiny shop. I was incredibly impressed!!! My fam had the breakfast sandwiches, and I kept hearing oh this is so good, yummy, delicious from everyone. The coffee was delicious - I had a cup of black coffee and it was so smooth. Quaint place, clean restrooms, delicious food!

One of my friends took me into Mutiny for some afternoon refreshments--little did I know this short visit would turn into a major highlight of the afternoon for me!!! From the moment I stepped through the door, I was transported back in time to an era of retro nostalgia that felt both comforting and exciting. The first thing that struck me about Mutiny was its unique decor. The walls were adorned with an array of retro decorations, from arcade games to black felt posters. It was evident a lot of thought and time was put into creating an atmosphere that was so cozy and captivating. What really sold me on Mutiny though, is the exceptional service and the wonderful conversation I had with David. From the moment I walked in, he welcomed me with a warm smile and a genuine passion for his coffee shop. David walked me through their beverage offerings and even took the time to geek out with me on retro stereo players and vintage furniture! Other memorable features include the (free!) arcade machines, comics for sale original in mint-condition, and the impressive cereal bar--a concept I'd encountered in much larger cities but didn't expect to see in the quaint town of Trinidad. The blend of quirky decor, the cereal bar, and, most importantly, the exceptional service and conversation with David made this small-town coffee shop a true treasure. If you find yourself in Trinidad, don't miss the opportunity to step into Mutiny for a delightful trip down memory lane and some of the finest coffee and conversations you'll find in town.

The barista was friendly and helped my friend out with several things. I felt the service was great to be honest. My buddy did feel the regulars were treated better, but I kinda think that's just how it is. I have my regular coffee spot in Texas and I feel like while they treat everyone great, I get special attention. So for me, no worries there. My buddy was impressed by their espresso, especially since it was "single source" or something like that. My friend is more into straight espresso, I'm more of a mocha type coffee drinker. I did think Perkatory coffee was slightly better, but honestly only slightly. If I lived there, I could see me bouncing between the two shops where as here, I only go to my local coffee shop.
