I've only gotten take out from this location. The food is standard, I find that although the packing is very efficient and well done, brunch is just better in person. I live very close to this location and even though I picked it up right on time, it just doesn't hit the spot once you get home to eat it. Maybe it's just me. However I will say I love the staff they are very fast and efficient.

We stumbled onto this brunch spot by accident and it was a perfect place for the family! Out of all the dishes we tried there were a few that stood out in my mind! - the deluxe coco waffle is AMAZING. So much we had 2 SERVINGS! - avocado Benedict, i give it 0/5. Do not get, it's very bland, the avocado was a bit spoiled and it just didn't please me. -there is FREEEEEE coffee. I mean, does it get better than this? -the waitress was soooo sweet! -the servings are HUGE- which is always a pleasant surprise This place is a hidden surprise. Definitely go

We were walking around Plateau Mont Royal and felt like having a brunch someplace and you know what? Right at the corner of Saint-Laurent and Mont-Royal there was a Allo mon coco and it is quite recognisable with just a glance at the storefront and inside decor. First of all, this place is popular so expect it to be crowded, every time I went to one of them on a weekend day, I had to wait a bit before getting seated. The seating at this location is especially cramped as I was almost shoulder to shoulder with the tables next to me. There's no ambiance music playing but it can get quite loud as everyone is seating near each other and tries to speak with their party. Onto the food, I had the Coco Casserole which consisted of potatoes mixed with swiss cheese, bacon, sausage and ham with an egg on top. Everything on that plate was delicious but I do wish the portion were sightly bigger considering the 16$ price tag that is attached to the plate. Forgot to mention that the service was quick once we were seated, I think it took less than 10 minutes after ordering to get out food so there's that also to consider if you see a lineup upon entering the place. It can move quite fast. Great place, y'all should try this place. Its worth a stop.

Expensive, and taste of food was below average for plateau area. Had to pay a few extra bucks for real maple syrup. Had the pancake, french toast and waffle combo with english cream. Nothing stood out. Also, the french toast was supposed to have raisins in it. I asked about this after my food arrived and only then was I informed that they were out of raisin bread. I don't plan to return.

Overall OK food. The place is nice and clean, the terrace also accommodates quite a lot of guests. The wait time was definitely great compared to the other brunch places around. It's definitely not the best brunch in town, nor the best quality for the price. The crepes are ok but too thick, the service was super slow even if it was 2pm. My friends had omlets which they recommend. The servers are friendly. I wouldn't recommend this place if you are a true foodie, but if you need a quick lunch it will be ok. I probably wouldn't return.

Came here twice for brunch, and it definately always satisfies the craving. I really love their eggs Benedict, I tried both their smoked meat as well as salmon and they both hit the spot. It comes with plenty of fruit, and the potatoes were a highlight of the dish. My friend got the crepe which looked delicious as well. Only complaint was that I asked for the tea and they forgot the tea I guess? She just gave us a glass of hot water

I haven't had such an amazing breakfasts in a long time. We went to this place every morning when we've been to Montreal with my friends. Sometimes we had to wait, as the place is pretty popular, but it's worth it. Best benedict eggs from my experience.

Montreal, I don't know what's in the water here but shit, you guys do breakfast and you do it well. Three days and three aces. But if you asked me my favourite, that would be like asking me to choose between food and sex, my first and second born, a pizza.. or a panzerotti, you just can't choose, because they're all amazing. Allô Mon Coco is another location addition to Montreal's vast industry of gourmet restaurant chains (seriously, I think if you were to investigate Montreal's GDP, breakfast/brunch spots might account for 20-30%). Enough fluff, onto the good stuff. Great location in a great part of the Plateau neighbourhood, with a massive patio that had to be about 100ft x 100ft, in addition to the massive modern interior space. We requested to sit on the patio as it was a beautiful morning and luckily we got a seat right away. After reviewing their extensive menu I went with their special eggs benedict. The special came with three kinds of breakfast meat (Canadian bacon, sausage and regular bacon) smothered in thick cheesy delicious hollandaise sauce! Paired with sides of cooked potatoes (which I asked to be topped with cheese) and a massive bowl of fruit. One word describes this mean and five syllables, Un-be-liev-a-ble. That's all you need to know. Thank you Montreal and Allô Mon Coco for amazing breakfast and an amazing weekend as always Eatcrest Out!

If you long for a classic brunch meal and you are really, really hungry, this is the place for you. There's no hipster food served in minimalist quantities here. It's almost surprising and at the same time refreshing to see them open their doors in the Plateau. When I got there, around 1pm on a Saturday the place was in full swing, but luckily we got a table after just a few minutes' wait. Table service was friendly and efficient. There was something on the menu to please everyone. I ordered the Lac St Jean breakfast, which consisted of two eggs, three slices of bacon, their famous potato mash, fèves au lard, creton, a massive blueberry pancake and toasts. Coffee or tea included. The amount of food in front of me was quite monumental to say the least. The mash was surprisingly tasty despite the ghetto appearance, but the creton was very run of the mill. Oh well, there were definitely other things on the plate to satisfy my palette. My date ordered the breakfast poutine and although in the end it proved a bit too much, he enjoyed it. I didn't dare try it though. There's something that screams "get out of the pool!" about poutine dressed in hollandaise sauce, at least to me. So I like this place because I got what wanted at reasonable prices. The only thing that I'm not a fan of is their decor. It's too bright, too shiny, too leathery. Like my date said, "It feels like an airport."

Choco Coco breakfast. A lot of food. Potatoes were favorite!

But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. I would absolutely love to come back!!

The restaurant didn't provide a high chair for our baby, which was a bit disappointing. The service was good with our waitress checking with us to order and being prompt and attentive. Here is what we ordered: Grilled Cheese O+G (8/10) - the bread with the grilled cheese and caramelized onions were cooked well. The homemade ketchup had a sweet taste to it and was brought out a little colder than room temperature. I probably would have preferred the ketchup/tomato sauce to be a bit warmer. The Chicken Melt (8/10) - this sandwich was pretty big. It had grilled chicken in a creamy sauce, some Cole slaw (actually a lot of Cole slaw) and some dill pickles. The sandwich was a bit messy to eat and I think it had a little too much Cole slaw, but it was a good sandwich, nonetheless. Overall, I good experience with a few suggestions in my review that I think would have made it really great.

I stayed there recently, and on the morning of my check-out I received a phone call with devastating news about a life-threatening medical emergency in my immediate family. I was on the phone trying to resolve the problem with Emergency Room doctors and lost track of the time. When I received a call from the hotel management to inform me that I had overstayed my time in the room, I raced at lightening speed to clear out of the room. Minutes later, I cleared out of the room, which I left immaculate and ready to be sold to another guest. I departed the room well before the 4pm check-in time for new guests; I checked out just 2 hours late (literally it was 2 hours). They nonetheless slapped me with a $60 fine for this very small, very human error. It was one of the worst days of my life, I was in tears and begged them not to charge me. I am also disabled and they not only refused to remove the $60 fine, they also did not help me with my bags when my taxi came, they let me limp and drag my own luggage to the curb. I am beyond shocked at this cruelty and greed, at this utter lack of compassion and inability to relate to a fellow human being as anything other than a cash cow. I will never forget being treated this way when I was in distress. Also the breakfast is terrible and overpriced; the coffee was cold, the fruit was flavorless and dried out, there were few fresh and healthy choices, mostly ultra processed yoghurt and cereals, commercialized white bread. All for $25, way too much in a city with such incredible food. I do not enjoy giving negative reviews, and I tried to resolve this both in person and on the phone subsequently and was met with cold indifference at every turn.
