I will only use Allyz Auto/Color Recon for my Nissan Murano. Juan is truly an advocate for the customer. Jesse is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and Shayla is kind and treats the customers wonderfully. I was hit from behind on 7/1. I took my car to Juan and his team the same day and from day one he started coaching me on how to work with the insurance company to maximize my benefits and to ensure that I was getting the coverage that I was paying for. To say that the process with the insurance company was a nightmare is an understatement. Luckily I had Juan and Color Recon on my side! Color Recon did a full and thorough review of my car and the damage within 2 business days of my car getting there and that was over the 4th of July holiday. He talked me through speaking with insurance about the difference in the insurance and body shop estimates and told me exactly what to ask the insurance for. Bait and Switch is Alive! I visited Color Recon yesterday to get a quote to paint and replace a rear bumper on our 2000 Toyota Camry. I told the owner/manager that I had already purchased the bumper - just needed them to do a nice matching paint job and replace the bumper. I explained that I had already been quoted a price of $350 from a shop down the street and wanted to see if they could do better on the price. I was provided a brochure and hard copy quoted price of $289 + tax for a total of $307.79. (see attached pix of the quote) We discussed dropping the vehicle off that evening or early in the morning so they could start work and finish it by Friday PM. I decided to bring it back in the morning. When I arrived at around 8:30 with the new bumper, the owner/manager asked what I wanted to do with the bumper. I was a bit perplexed - thought he was referring to the old damaged bumper. I asked him to clarify. He said the price I was quoted yesterday was just for painting and that it would cost another $75 to remove the old bumper and install the new bumper. Needless to say, I was astounded bcz I had made it very clear that I was looking for paint and replace service. I asked him, "Why would I come to you to do the same job for a higher price as I was just quoted by your competitor down the street?" He offered to drop the install price to $50. He apologized and said it was a misunderstanding/ miscommunication. I told him, "No it wasn't. I made it very clear what I wanted and if he could provide the service at a better price." He apologized again. But the bottom line is, I was quoted one price and when I showed up for the work, the price mysteriously increased, even though I had been provided a hard copy quote the previous day. (Unfortunately, I did not have the hard copy quote with me which clearly states "Repl Paint and refinish" for $307.79.) In addition, why did we discuss leaving my car overnight if they were only going to paint the new bumper? We discussed it bcz he knew that the quote was for removing the old and installing the new bumper after it had been painted. So there was no misunderstanding/ miscommunication with what I wanted and what I was quoted. It was just that he wanted to squeeze an additional $50 out of me. This is all on top of the fact that I had driven 5 miles there in 8:15 am traffic, arranged for my son to pick me up and drop me back home, then had to drive back home again, bcz the owner/manager decided to all of a sudden increase his price. As I told him, I am very unhappy with their unprofessionalism and last minute changes in price just as I am about to drop the vehicle off to start the work. Very uncool and very disappointed. Wow. Let me just start off by saying this was by far the rudest that I've ever been treated. If I could give 0 stars, I absolutely would. Lady at the front super nice, but the owner, Juan, an arrogant jerk. I was involved in a hit and run, in my 2 door little Toyota. Let me just say that this car is my baby, I sold cars for quite a long time and I've put a lot of work into her and making her pristine. So, when I got rear ended at a stoplight and the guy drove off, I was deeply upset. (Thank god for the Good Samaritan that captured his license plate for me, because of him there might actually be accountability for this a-hole). It's just body work that needs to be done, still drivable. For that I'm lucky. I was told, by my attorney and insurance company to get an estimate on getting the car fixed. So, that we can submit it to the person at faults insurance company and go from there. I got referrals from my mechanic and then I also wanted to get some from a couple of others. Color Recon being one. The front desk lady had me talk to Juan on the phone, since he wasn't there, and I even said I would come back later for an estimate, if I need to. He has no customer service WHAT SO EVER. There was no, "I'm sorry this happened to you, are you and your child ok, or even having me explain what parts were damaged. He began telling me how shady insurance companies were, ok, I already know that. They don't like to pay for stuff. That has nothing to do with my case. I just want my car back to the way it was. So after going on and on about how crappy they are. He said he CHARGES for estimates. Like what? Ive been in the auto industry for 10 years now, and he says to look at my car and take pictures, there would be a charge. No. Absolutely not. Now, I could understand if he was going to take my car apart and find everything wrong with it, but this was just preliminary numbers, you know, an ESTIMATE, before delving into everything and getting an accurate number. This is what the insurance company needed for my case. I told him that I was not going to pay for an estimate, and he said, "Then you're not my customer" and that was that. For someone that has been in customer service/sales for 20 years (me), he needs to go to some classes. I like to have opinions of a few companies, and SEE their work before even deciding who I'm going with. Why would I pay for something when work hasn't been performed. I highly recommend Samuels Auto Body, they are very NICE, does everything OEM, completely sincere and willing to be up front and transparent with you and provide you the estimate needed for your case. My wife's car was rubbed in the parking garage where she works. The guy who did it was kind enough to leave his contact info and, while I can't review him, random good citizen Tim was a stand up guy! It's not often something like this happens and it goes off painlessly. As a result of how easy it was to work with the guy who did the damage, we worked together to find a place to have the work done. Yelp reviews led me to Color Recon. Random citizen Tim agreed. I called and spoke with Jay at Color Recon. I stepped him through the events and told him that since this guy was honest, I'd like to repay him by making it as affordable as possible. The car is over 10 years old, but it has been kept in excellent condition. Jay made a few suggestions, gave me some very affordable options. I contacted the guy paying the bill and he approved. My wife was able to get an appointment with Jay first thing the next morning. Great service there! She said they were very polite and kept her in the loop while they made the repairs. Thankfully, there were no dents, just small rub lines of removed paint and several scratches. My wife complimented their professionalism and said they had snacks/drinks in the waiting area for her. Another really neat thing... we never met random good citizen Tim, except on the phone. Color Recon was able to email him the quote for approval AND a link to pay via PayPal. Jay was even kind enough to suggest we bring our dealer touch-up paint to save a bunch of money. He didn't have to order/pickup the paint. The rub areas were relatively small. He used our paint and only charged us for the buffing and wet sanding. Obviously, that doesn't work if your area is large, but it was a kindness that was appreciated. The boys at Color Recon did it again! This is the second time I have gone over for cosmetic repairs and I'm never disappointed. I had someone slam their car door into the side of my red Jeep - unfortunately it was extremely noticeable. I brought my car over and they remembered me from over a year ago. Jesse was great to work with. We scheduled an appointment to get the car in a week later, took two days, and the ding was gone. They repaired the car quickly, efficiently, and made me feel valued as a customer. I don't really think you can ask for much more when it comes to the car industry. I got the car door accident and stopped by this place, the guy is nice and helpful. Even though he refused to fix my car, he suggested that I would claim my insurance so he can get about $1500, that's how much he quotes he can fix it, so I went to another shop. I cannot say enough positive things about Color Recon. My first experience was indirect - my boyfriends flat black car got keyed. He brought his car to Color Recon and they did an AMAZING job. In fact, they even took out a few dents for free. About three months later I accidentally backed into a post and did about $2,300 worth of damage to the back of my brand new Jeep. DON'T USE! Terrible customer service. I purchased a new vehicle and had some protectant applied. This company is sub contracted by the dealer to do this work. After MANY emails to Rich Franco and Sharon for a simple quote to re-do my car and no estimate, Sharon from the company emails me and tells me they "DO NOT DO COATINGS". What kind of answer is that! I immediately respond with the direct quote from the dealership and her response is, "I wasn't aware we were doing coatings for them". CONSUMER BEWARE!!!! We just picked up my daughters 2005 Jeep Liberty. Color Recon had it for two weeks to repair the front hood, grill, lights etc.( totaling $4,428.63 ) It's now making a horriable noise coming from the steering component. Which was NOT the case before we dropped it off. The sweet girl Sely told us it was just leaking oil really bad and gave us two quarts of engine oil at no charge. She also went on telling us that the oil was very watery. She then gave me a card to the Auto Diagnostic Lab right nextdoor. She said he was friends with Juan and to tell Mannie "Juan sent you and he'll give you a good deal to fix it." I was really surprised by that. Because the steering shaft is not the same as the engine oil! Your car doesn't make loud clanging noises when your leaking oil. I am not a mechanic but I do know that. I did try to go next door but they were closed. We just had the oil changed at my mechanic so I took it right to him. As I thought, I was right no engine oil was leaking. He told me that there was a whole in the steering wheel hose and it was spraying out everywhere when you turn your wheel and not to drive the car until it's fixed. That's why it's making that awful noise. When I tried to talk to Juan Roderiguez about this experience. He became very defensive accusing me of all sorts of things. I only talked to him once before when we were getting the estimate he had come out of his office to tell me how honest and what great work they do. He gave me his card and told me they stand behind there work! I thought great! DON'T BE FOOLED! Not only did he accused me of all sorts of things. When I calmly tried to address this problem with him. He went on about what a piece of "shit" my daughters car was and then went on to attacked me personally. I was in disbelief. Juan just so you know that piece of "shit" is paid for and was the day we bought it for our 16 year old!!! We maintain it very well and she loves it! If she didn't we wouldn't have spent $4,428.63. To have it fixed by YOUR shop! Yes you know you made a nice profit to! We could have easily sold her car and put that money towards a new one. Everyone save yourself a headache. read more

I walked into this shop a total emotional wreck after being in a wreck. A week later, I left an informed and empowered customer thanks to Robert. If it weren't for him and this amazing shop, I would have probably listened to the at fault driver's insurance company and let them fix my car with junkyard parts at their choice of body shop. Robert explained the entire process and made it clear that he was working for me and not the insurance company. He provided a very detailed and honest estimate, which the insurance company could not refute. BEWARE: This business is all about price gouging, swindling, bad business ethics, bad customer support, AND THEY LIE. They will charge $500 or more for doing an estimate if you decide to remove your car from their shop to get a second estimate elsewhere, they'll charge you $50 per day "storage', they'll add 3% onto your final bill for "paypal" surcharges, and there's no payment method that will allow you to avoid this 3% surcharge. Brought my car to them on a Monday for MINOR REPAIRS, and they told me it would be done by Friday. I received no calls/text/emails from them between that Monday and Friday afternoon, and even though I had their cell phone number and tried several times to reach them to no avail. I needed to know when my car was going to be ready because I was driving a rental car and needed to know if I needed to extend my rental. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER IN ANY REGARD. To top it off, after taking TWO WEEKS to repair minor damage, I went to pick-up my "repaired" car and noticed NEW DAMAGE (new dent and chipped paint) ON MY CAR. Still I decided to leave the business then because I thought myself fortunate my car still had an engine in it. They tried to LIE to my insurance company about the new damage . Fortunate for me, I took pictures of the entire vehicle BEFORE I dropped it off, and my insurance company took pictures before color recon started work: both sets of pictures proved the added damage was caused by color recon. Im sure glad I found Juan and Color Recon. They do incredible body work at a fair price. I had a lease car that needed to be turned in and had a huge dent on the rear passenger door and some body damage to the rear bumper. Other body shops quoted me over double of Color Recon and wanted to do more work. They pulled a dent out that other shops told me was impossible. Sure enough you cant even notice the dent was ever there. They fixed the back bumper and blended so perfectly I cant even tell you where the old damage was. Juan is a honest guy and has a rare quality that most body shops dont have, integrity! I highly recommend his shop for any of your body repair needs. Also if you have a lease turn-in and dont want to spend a fortune, color recon is the place to go. I will be using them for all my future needs. All the reviews you read are the real deal. I was very disappointed with my experience with Color Recon. I went a while back to get an estimate for a cosmetic repair of my lower lip front bumper because it had three moderate dents and i was quoted $389. I went back again today to get an estimate for the same repair because i thought i had lost my original quote. Today I was quoted $689 for the same repair. Somehow the cost had almost doubled! I called Color Recon and spoke with the owner Juan; unfortunately, he was not willing to honor the original estimate, because according to him, the original estimate was only for one side of the bumper. However, the estimate was for the whole bumper. On both estimates the the whole bumper was circled and no distinctions were made about it being left or right. Moreover, why would anyone repair or quote a repair of one side of the bumper and not the other side? I can understand if the price of a repair goes up, it does happen, but almost doubling in cost?! Also, if a business can't stand by a genuine estimate given, what can they stand for? read more

My daughters car was repaired at this shop. They did a good job on the repair but charged me for a car wash and more labor than what the insurance adjusters pay. Juan the owner or manager said he would send me forms to recoup my out of pocket expenses - well that hasn't happened yet and will probably not see that at all. ***Women are not advised to go alone to this place. On 03/18/16 we took our vehicle to have a the rear bumper painted. Juan, the service manager, gave us an estimate and time of completion. The next day after picking up my car I noticed the paint on the rest of the vehicle did not feel right so I returned to the shop. Jay, the front office rep, came out and confirmed to me the same and relayed the issue with Juan. Juan came outside speaking in a loud voice, telling me that this is not over-spray and is due to build up of dirt, pollen and the vehicle not being detailed for years. We went back and forth all the time; him speaking loud and down to me, disrespecting me, and telling me he was not going to waste his time talking to me anymore and that I should call my husband to speak with him. I proceeded to call my husband and decided to wait inside the lobby but he told me to get out of his lobby and wait outside. When my husband arrived (visibly upset), Juan again was speaking in a loud voice. My husband demanded he apologize to me which he did in a halfhearted way. Juan still would not admit this was due to over-spray and the only solution he offered was to detail the car for $89. We took the vehicle to a detail center and they confirmed over-spray occurred; even on the windows. It took $250.00 to remove all the over-spray that was all over the car. In conclusion, I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially women. They treat women with disdain and make lewd and suggestive comments to them as I experienced when the employees surrounded me and leered, making suggestive comments about my appearance and nationality. read more
