A couple of weeks later, I received a text saying they were ready for pickup. When I arrived, only one pair was actually available. I left and waited another two weeks before following up. On a Friday, I called and was told no one was available, but someone would call me back on Monday with an update. Monday came and went--no call by 2:00 p.m. I called again and was placed on hold until the call dropped. I tried again, was promised a callback "right away," and waited 45 minutes with no response. Frustrated, I called a third time and requested a refund. Once more, I was told someone would call me back. Eventually, I did get a call: they had the lenses but not the frames. Then they offered a similar style in black--I agreed to proceed. Later, another call came saying the frames weren't black after all, but grey. At this point, I was so fed up I just told them to use the grey ones. I'm finally supposed to pick them up tomorrow... I hope. After all this hassle, endless waiting, broken promises, and terrible communication, I seriously doubt I'll ever return.

I booked an appointment here based on the other 5 star reviews and well, you won't be surprised…read morethat mine is also a 5 star review. When you first walk in, the reception area and frames section are very bright and clean. I love the exposed wooden beams. Everything, including exam room was clean and inviting. It may seem silly but they have an air purifier that was humming and felt like a calming, white noise while you wait for the Dr. I arrived 15 minutes early just in case I needed to do anything extra with checking in since it was my first visit. I had completed the new patient paperwork online ahead of time but gave myself that extra time just in case. Turns out, I didn't need it but no problem. The receptionist was welcoming and friendly while checking me in. My appt was set for 11:30 and at exactly 11:30, Chloe - Optician called me for the initial exams. She was very thorough and detailed every step and what she would be looking for. We had a friendly conversation and then she placed me in a room at about 11:50. I'm giving time stamps to help manage your expectations but of course, every patient may take less or more time depending on your needs and questions. Dr. Kirscht arrived at 12:07 for her part of the exam. She is kind, friendly, knowledgeable, thorough, and never made the visit feel rushed. She explained things I had never been told before and truly help my understanding of my vision, eye health, and needs going forward. Once finished there, the receptionist (I apologize I didn't catch her name), escorted me back to the front where she introduced James -Optician to help me select frames and discuss options. James was very kind and friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. It's hard to pick out frames when you can't see yourself so I trusted his judgment. He gave great feedback and I found a pair pretty quickly that I loved. I was also able to purchase for $40 a pair of magnetic sunglasses frames for my glasses! I loved that this option was available. He also took time to explain what insurance covered and any out of pocket expenses. A bonus was I am able to pay 50% up front and remainder of balance when I pick up my frames which is a wonderful option for those needing it or just wanting to. I walked out by 12:50! So a little over an hour for everything and that included discussion of a Retina specialist. (Yes, I'm being referred if you read this pray for me ugh!) I've visited two other places in Allen for eye exams. None have been horrible or bad experiences but; I loved the vibe here, the welcoming staff, the clean environment, and the wealth of knowledge they all have in their field of expertise. Out of the 3 - this is by far my favorite. James was not pushy with up-selling nor try to talk me into grandiose frames that cost the most. It felt genuine and honest. I appreciate that. It's easy to see why they continue to receive 5 stars. If you're looking for a vision home - Delta Eye Care is calling!

I grew up disliking target. No real reason, just not my kinda store. Anyhoo, I heard the Target…read morecooperation now owns/operates Lens Crafters. Boy, oh boy, what a savings! I've been buying glasses from Lens Crafters for years and I do believe they have been overcharging/ripping me off a huge amount! Not sure why I paid so much for glasses from Lens Crafters. I'm sure it was because the optometrist is located next to the business. This review is about Target Optical, I need to stop digressing. Target has awesome employees and wonderful choices for glasses! Really happy I came here. I got 2 pairs of glasses that are a perfect fit, and cost me significantly less then what I've paid at lens crafter. A difference of approximately 600$. Whoa! They also except your old glasses and donate them on behalf of the Lions club. The glasses are then repurposed for people that don't have access to glasses. What a fantastic idea! The Lions club has a "Hometown Day" event once a year. A Lions Club partner that includes Sears Optical, LensCrafters, Pearle Vision, and Target Optical, will offer free glasses and eye exams to the needy and uninsured. This program is offered to low income families who are pre-determined to be in need of glasses. The insurance on the glasses is for 18 months at a one time cost of 35$, and 50$ for replacements. At other places it's for 12 months, costs 95$, and replacements are 100$. Guess who I'll stick with now? So glad I found another place to get great glasses. Shopping around can be draining! 17/2019

Dr. Castleberry is terrific, but this place needs someone to fix the operations and weed out the…read moredoctors. I have been going for years and always used Dr. Castleberry. But as he is now so booked, I tried a different doctor for my severe dry eyes. After checking me she recommended what she called an IPL treatment and I said if she'd look at my records she'd see I'd already tried those and they didn't work, but that I'd tried an RF treatment a long time ago and got some relief. So we booked an RF Treatment. When I went for it, I was told it often takes 3 or 4 treatments and they can be 6 months apart. After 2 months I still had lots of burning and so I went back to the same doctor for a follow up. She looked at me and suggested a couple of products to use (she forgot to give me a printout so I don't know what they were) and said I could try another RF but I'd already had 2. I said no, I'd had 1. She argued with me until I proved to her she hadn't looked closely at my record and she was thinking I'd had one in Jan '26, but it was actually Jan '25. So she booked a second one. Then when I showed up and they had me back in the chair, I realized they were prepping me for an IPL, not an RF. I don't know whether the doctor was simply careless in the booking, or decided to book an IPL not having looked at my records. Either way, the carelessness is very disquieting. And their website will no longer recognize my email or password, and there is no way to correct it without just calling them. For a group with such advanced eye technology, the website is truly pathetic.
