However I've been here on multiple occasions and can testify to the fact that they're as cheap as any other place in Ruidoso. It's in a great location being on SR48 (Sudderth Dr.), and just west of SR70 approximately 1/2 mile. One can be confident in a quality fuel when stopping here. As with all fuel stations in New Mexico (that's been my experience), they offer the 3 basic unleaded fuels in 86, 88, and 91 octanes, along with diesel. Credit and debit cards are accepted, and squeegees are available to clean your windshield. It's not cramped like some stations, offering easy entrance and exits for larger vehicles and those with motor homes or trailers. It's covered so there's a lot of shade and some protection from any occasional showers. This is my "go to" station when I'm in Ruidoso. I recommend you check them out.

But the mostly friendly employees picked up the pace very quickly. The fuel pumps were all available except one. Diesel is available - several big rigs were able to get in and out seemingly easily. The women's restroom has lots of stalls. Not always the cleanest & they do not offer towels for hand drying, but I have no major complaints. Don't forget to try the "World Famous Beef & Bean Burrito." With a packet or two of taco sauce. Avoid settling on the chimichanga. It's not good. I like this stop particularly if I don't want to drive through town. There is a shortcut if you're headed towards Tatum or the Texas border via Pine Lodge and Red Bridge Roads.

If you run across this tiny little town, be sure to stop in and pick up a few things, maybe get some fuel, have a snack and support the little guy!

So we ate this little food shop inside and bought a burger and the 3 tacos. server was beyond amazing, told us it'll be 5 minutes of a wait. But hey we love fresh food, so bring the wait on. As we were waiting, one worker was going around cleaning the place. While another was stocking every shelf up. Splendid work to everyone there, food was delicious and drinks where super cold. I was thankful to find this fueling station in the middle of nowhere (no disrespect Carrizozo as I'm sure you have some really fine citizens and businesses ... but you really are in the middle of nowhere). I was pleasantly surprised to find the fuel here 30 cents per gallon cheaper than in Las Cruces - Wow! You'll also find 12 pumping stations for autos/trucks, and separate pumps to the north for Semi truck drivers. There's plenty of room for maneuvering in case you're in a motor home or towing a trailer. The bathrooms are clean, and the store is well stocked with all the normal snacks, ice cream, etc.. and automotive needs. The little human interaction I had was upon leaving the store the employees wished me a happy day (1 extra star). If you're traveling south towards Alamogordo (60 miles away) and getting low on fuel, I recommend you stop in, get some fuel, try some of their ice cream, stretch, relax for a few minutes, and be thankful for businesses like this - especially in the middle of nowhere!! :) #ThankfulThursday
