This time, I show up and order the new chicken tenders. Service was good, receive my food in a timely manner, McDonald employees were courteous. Another pitiful experience...when ordering cashier was rude and disrespectful. Was told to pull around in front for a normal order of McMuffins while another customer was parked in front of us...I asked politely why the delay. Was scoffed at and and manager wanted to refund order rather than explain why a small order or McMuffins was going to take so long. Worst place in town. Maybe the one by Walmart is better but the one on first street is pitiful. read more

I ordered a drink and medium fries. Just a snack. The $3 medium fries were barely warm. They were soggy and the fry container was less than 1/2 full. At 0715 on May 30, the men's restroom was filthy, the tables and floors in the dining area were dirty - and I can only imagine what the kitchen must have looked like. What came out of the ketchup dispenser was surely not edible. All of these conditions exist because of one reason, one root cause: bad management. read more

This review is for the coffee alone. We looked for a cute little coffee shop to grab some joe on our way to Carlsbad Caverns. We were found wanting. Lo and behold, the golden arches called to us. Our light blue 2006 Kia Rio was drawn in as if by some extra-worldly force. We sipped the piping hot brown liquid, and it was the best piping hot brown liquid we had ever sipped. I drive through Artesia several times a month for work and I'm nearly always in a hurry to pass through and get where I'm going or get home. It's often the case that I'm passing through right at dinner time so I just swing through the drive through so I can get on my way as quickly as possible. Lately, it seems I end up having to wait around the corner for my food to come out even though I didn't order anything weird or out of the ordinary (usually a couple of hamburgers and fries). On several occasions I've received the wrong order, or even worse, the right order but something was wrong with it (for example, no burger, just a bun one time, and another time I ordered the chicken breakfast sandwich and got a sausage patty instead, just the patty, nothing else). More often than not I order a milkshake to go with my meal, but (and I mean this literally, I counted) the last five times I've been through there (this is over a month and a half mind you), they keep telling me the machine is broken. Well get if FIXED!! Who ever the manager is needs to be fired. Speaking of managers, the last time I was there, waiting for my food around the corner, I asked for the manager to come out. When he did, he didn't even bother wearing a mask. Makes you wonder what else they're doing in there. I guess I'm going to have to find another place to eat quickly in Artesia, I won't be returning to this McDonald's, it's just not worth the hassle. read more

Ordered over 30 dollars of food for 6 people and their grill was not working and their smoothies were down they charged me for 2 burgers anyway and did not switch them for nuggets as they said they would. This McDonalds never opens on time. They post open at 5 am on door, but don't unlock doors and start taking orders at the drive thru at 0530. As a result people either miss breakfast before they go to work or show up late. read more

Drove in the entrance and saw the "Hiring - Interviews immediately on site." I chuckled and made a comment that it must be a bad sign if they are hiring directly on site. Drove to the first drive through menu and was impressed by their digital menu for a small town. Very clearly stated : A number one with a coke, 6 sausage egg burritos and a number 7 with an Iced Tea." The person on the other side asked if I wanted sweet or unsweet and I replied unsweet. She then proceeded to ask if the number 1 was a combo and repeated to ask if the number 7 and burritos were supposed to be combos. My sense of agitation was becoming noticeable... She then started to repeat back the order: A number one with a sweet tea.... Insert an interruption... "no a coke...the number 7 has an unsweet tea.."... no reponse she talks to someone in the background and states "i asked them if they wanted a sweet tea...they said they wanted tea.."... I explained that I wanted a plain tea...she proceeded to argue....told her to forget the order.. Now I know why the hiring sign is up. read more

Then had to wait inside for another 15 minutes just for some people to stand around and do nothing to help. While the poor cashier up from had to run the register and fix my order. Thieves! Two of combos we ordered were not placed in the bags. When we drove back through to have the order corrected (either by refund or getting the food we paid for) they told us they were closed and then refused to answer the intercom or come to the window. This was 10 minutes before actual closing time. It should be noted that 20 minutes before closing, we were unable to order burgers or smoothies because the grill and smoothie machine were already shut down. Really? 20 minutes before closing and McDonalds can't make a burger. It was clearly a matter of employees trying to go home early. I'd like the $12 back that you stole from us last night. read more

This morning, is the 4th time in 2 weeks that I've pulled into the drive though between 5:00 and 5:10 AM. I've sat in line last week till as late as 5:20... They have posted hours of opening at 5:00 AM. IVE STILL NOT BEEN ABLE TO PLACE A BREAKFAST ORDER AT THIS PLACE SINCE THE REOPENING!! Never again. I have been fading on McDonalds for a while but this visit put the last nail in the coffin. After the automated greeting, I was told to "hold on a minute". Almost 5 minutes later, a truck pulled up in the other lane and gave an order. I called out and they then took the order. As I pulled up to the window, two females stuck their heads out and one screamed at some one down the street. As I pondered that for what they charged I could have gotten a dinner at the BBQ place down the street,I discovered part of my order was wrong. We're a family of 4 and used the self ordering kiosk this morning, after paying for the order, one of the employees gets my attention to let me know that my order is going to take awhile. When I asked why that was, she tells me that they are short handed and have a lot of orders. I tell her, "you just now tell me that after I've placed my order", and she said it's because it just now came up on the screen back here. Yet we've been standing at the machine putting our order in 5 minutes prior and no employee once said anything to us as a warning. Then we notice we've already been waiting about 17 minutes for our food and another family of 5, used the same self ordering kiosk that we used after us, and they were being served first. 25 minutes now and finally received our order. All of the tables were also dirty, we and several other families had to wipe our tables. read more

I'd give this place less than one star if I could. Went into the lobby at 1030 in the morning. When I finally got to the register I heard the child manager say that they were out of scrambled eggs but they could still make egg McMuffins which is fine except when the worker says, "well we just aren't gonna make breakfast then." Apparently the child manager doesn't have the respect of his staff nor the attitude to correct them. So we asked for caramel lattes only to be told that all they had was regular coffee. In a town without an actual coffee shop they are losing out on a lot of business. The machine has been broken for months now. Also apparently when you order a milkshake the ice cream machine is broken but I saw the drive thru hand an ice cream cone to a customer. The place was really dirty and none of the lazy staff know how to multi task during the busy times. So my family and I went to Burger King instead. read more
