*** the Zia Latte was fire *** My daughter and I stopped by Kith + Kin Roasting before a long afternoon with a doctor's appointment in Roswell back on April 8, 2026. This hip cafe is located in downtown Artesia, NM near the Veteran's Memorial. The service was nice enough and very efficient in getting orders out. Lots of seating and I liked the lighting inside... not too bright, not too dim. They sure know how to make a good latte here. The Zia Latte ($5.90 for a 16 oz) consisted of "cayenne + cinnamon + cloves + cardamom + ginger + nutmeg + honey." It's so heartwarming and delicious. One of my favorite lattes in all of New Mexico! My daughter opted for a hot cocoa ($3.60 for 12 oz) and a house-made blueberry jam muffin ($3.80). I did not try the cocoa but she said it was "so good" and they made it to her liking, kid's temperature. The muffin was fantastic. Order at the counter. Pay. Take a number. They'll bring your items out to you. Check them out along with their hours before you stop by: https://www.kithandkinroastingco.com/ read more

06:08/2026 Monday 9:45. I like to support local when I can. Cute little place inside. A little hard to find, signage not big enough. Nice and dark and quiet inside. Ordered a chai tea latte. Came out quickly and boy could I taste the spices in that chai! The pepper kicked me in the face for sure. Not bad just unexpected and strong. When I come back I will try something else it was just too overpowering for me. I might have asked for a remake of something else but what to get back on the road. They had a great selection of muffins, scones and breads. Ice cream too! Wish I had time to hang out. read more

Always a must stop when kids are in town. Love the Lotus energy drinks and look forward to the seasonal drinks. Service is always spot on and I like they bring my food drinks to the table. Normally I get the Artesian or their BYO breakfast sandwiches are great. Love I can add green chili to anything. The layout is great to meet up with friends, have some small kids toys but overall it's a great space and we enjoy our time there. read more

The service is great. The atmosphere perfect. Plenty of places to sit. Good music playing the 2 times I've been in. The coffee is ok. It's a bit weak for my taste (I got an americano). I am a bit miffed that they charge for creamer (half n half) like they are not steaming it I just get a splash for color. They also serve the drink unbearably hot. It's hard to even hold the cup. The brownies look heavenly and they taste pretty good. If you get one make sure to eat it all that day. They are huge so I only ate half, and it was a bit dry the next day. I'm sure it would be even better with a scoop of their ice cream. read more

We arrived at the start of lunch rush and waited 45 minutes for our drinks. Food was great, service was abysmal. Visit at your own risk.

We got build-your-own breakfast sandwiches here and they were 10/10 fantastic. Absolutely delicious. We also got matcha tea here that was really good. The ambiance here is really great too. Great coffee shop. Their breakfast and brunch menus are fantastic. Been a couple of times now. Both early morning and for lunch. The sandwiches pair very well with the coffee selections. I'll definitely make this place a regular stop while I'm in town. Oh and the service is good. read more

We went for ice cream after dinner. It was very good and not too expensive. Nice place. Could have done without the giant cross in the entrance and the Fox News on the TV. read more

Food was decent but literally took 30 minutes to make 1 sandwich and the server was a guy with long hair not tied back. Also, they had Fox News playing on the tv, so take from that what you will. read more

Everything about this place was great! Are on our way through town thankfully before the huge lunch crowd. I had a med roast coffee, made my own sandwich with the berry wheat, roast beef, etc. absolute excellent quality of ingredients. We enjoyed a brownie afterwards and the cocoa was the definable flavor which is how a brownie should be. Definitely would be back here. read more

Great food, great coffee, great atmosphere. They roast their own beans and there is always something new to try.

Great local coffee / tea / breakfast spot in Artesia, NM. Friendly staff, great atmosphere. You can't go wrong with Kith + Kin.

First off, the service is amazing. I placed my order and needed to run to the restroom quickly before my food came out, and the staff behind the counter took hold of my wallet and things for safe keeping. Ordering was easy, and the food came out quickly and with a friendly smile. I ordered the New Mexico Club sandwich with chips and a pickle. When my sandwich arrived, it looked humble. It looked like simple store bought bread, and i was surprised that it wasn't cut into halves or quarters. But then I bit into it - and that's when its humility turned into a hero. It. Was. Delicious. Far from humble in flavor. And it was plenty big - filled my belly quite nicely after about 3 hours of hiking in Carlsbad Caverns. Sorry, no pictures... I ate it too quickly to capture. read more

So much potential~ their bakery items are excellent~ coffees are pretty good too!! I had a Lavender Cold Brew...yummmmmy!!! Been here a few times! Just need to know what you want...staff isn't very helpful(downside-minus one star)Menu is super loaded-small text & hung on glass LED up above...there's one very awesome lady(reddish hair in pony tail)working there...I was served a breakfast sandwich on focaccia bread~was good except bread was demolished! Couldn't eat as a sandwich but there are worse things!! I'll go back!! Bought desserts to go for meeting later~ I should explain~ this is constructive criticism- young guy was on phone constantly, one girl wouldn't look at you when you spoke to her and my table by window had an entire corner which was sticky :-/ read more

Was pleasantly surprised by this one. Great coffee and food. Nice folks! Would definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested!

Waited for a good 10 min to order and I didn't even get acknowledged. Not a good afternoon, not even a "well be right with you" not a smile nothing. Waitresses were walking around me to other tables and no one bothered to say anything. After 10 minutes I decided to just leave and could see them laughing on the other side of the counter. Would never come back here. read more

This is a great coffee shop with a huge food and drink menu. There is plenty of seating that is comfortable and cozy. We ordered drinks from the seasonal menu and the pumpkin latte here tastes like pumpkin pie. They make their pumpkin syrup from pumpkins from a local farm. I felt like I was back home having my Mom's pumpkin pie. The cold brew was delicious as well. The coffee was smooth. The prices and quality are great. This is a great weekend brunch spot. read more

This coffee shop is all show and no go. The interior is spacious and quite charming. There is lots of seating available, for a quick bite or if you are bring your laptop for the afternoon. My husband and I stopped by for a cappuccino and a tea on our way to White Sands from Carlsbad. The person helping us at the counter was clearly new and learning both the register and menu (she did not know if they had green tea). Here are my issues: My husband's cappuccino was just ok. My green tea was like drinking hot water. They didn't steep it long enough and/or use enough tea. They also have a wall display of 20+different teas and yet they only have one kind of green tea even though they have a sign saying they sell matcha? And the only iced tea they sell is Lipton in a bottle? My husband got a brownie, which he enjoyed. Not my thing. I will skip Jahva. read more
