*** the Zia Latte was fire *** My daughter and I stopped by Kith + Kin Roasting before a long afternoon with a doctor's appointment in Roswell back on April 8, 2026. This hip cafe is located in downtown Artesia, NM near the Veteran's Memorial. The service was nice enough and very efficient in getting orders out. Lots of seating and I liked the lighting inside... not too bright, not too dim. They sure know how to make a good latte here. The Zia Latte ($5.90 for a 16 oz) consisted of "cayenne + cinnamon + cloves + cardamom + ginger + nutmeg + honey." It's so heartwarming and delicious. One of my favorite lattes in all of New Mexico! My daughter opted for a hot cocoa ($3.60 for 12 oz) and a house-made blueberry jam muffin ($3.80). 06:08/2026 Monday 9:45. I like to support local when I can. Cute little place inside. A little hard to find, signage not big enough. Nice and dark and quiet inside. Ordered a chai tea latte. Came out quickly and boy could I taste the spices in that chai! The pepper kicked me in the face for sure. Not bad just unexpected and strong. When I come back I will try something else it was just too overpowering for me. I might have asked for a remake of something else but what to get back on the road. They had a great selection of muffins, scones and breads. Ice cream too! Wish I had time to hang out. read more

Stopped here with mom and it was amazing. She had the #16 and I got the New Mexico Club we shared and it was exactly what we wanted and filling. Always a must stop when kids are in town. Love the Lotus energy drinks and look forward to the seasonal drinks. Service is always spot on and I like they bring my food drinks to the table. Normally I get the Artesian or their BYO breakfast sandwiches are great. Love I can add green chili to anything. Best coffee in town. They make one delicious Vanilla Coke macchiato!!! If that's not your thing don't get it. It's specific to what I enjoy haha! Food is delicious. The service is great. The atmosphere perfect. Plenty of places to sit. Good music playing the 2 times I've been in. The coffee is ok. It's a bit weak for my taste (I got an americano). I am a bit miffed that they charge for creamer (half n half) like they are not steaming it I just get a splash for color. They also serve the drink unbearably hot. It's hard to even hold the cup. The brownies look heavenly and they taste pretty good. If you get one make sure to eat it all that day. They are huge so I only ate half, and it was a bit dry the next day. I'm sure it would be even better with a scoop of their ice cream. read more

We got build-your-own breakfast sandwiches here and they were 10/10 fantastic. Absolutely delicious. We also got matcha tea here that was really good. The ambiance here is really great too. It was pretty empty when we came around 8:30 on a Tuesday and the service was fantastic. Can't recommend this place enough. read more

Everything about this place was great! Are on our way through town thankfully before the huge lunch crowd. I had a med roast coffee, made my own sandwich with the berry wheat, roast beef, etc. absolute excellent quality of ingredients. First off, the service is amazing. I placed my order and needed to run to the restroom quickly before my food came out, and the staff behind the counter took hold of my wallet and things for safe keeping. Ordering was easy, and the food came out quickly and with a friendly smile. I ordered the New Mexico Club sandwich with chips and a pickle. When my sandwich arrived, it looked humble. It looked like simple store bought bread, and i was surprised that it wasn't cut into halves or quarters. But then I bit into it - and that's when its humility turned into a hero. It. Was. Delicious. Far from humble in flavor. And it was plenty big - filled my belly quite nicely after about 3 hours of hiking in Carlsbad Caverns. Sorry, no pictures... I ate it too quickly to capture. read more

This is a great coffee shop with a huge food and drink menu. There is plenty of seating that is comfortable and cozy. We ordered drinks from the seasonal menu and the pumpkin latte here tastes like pumpkin pie. They make their pumpkin syrup from pumpkins from a local farm. I felt like I was back home having my Mom's pumpkin pie. The cold brew was delicious as well. The coffee was smooth. The prices and quality are great. This is a great weekend brunch spot. read more

This coffee shop is all show and no go. The interior is spacious and quite charming. There is lots of seating available, for a quick bite or if you are bring your laptop for the afternoon. My husband and I stopped by for a cappuccino and a tea on our way to White Sands from Carlsbad. The person helping us at the counter was clearly new and learning both the register and menu (she did not know if they had green tea). Here are my issues: My husband's cappuccino was just ok. My green tea was like drinking hot water. They didn't steep it long enough and/or use enough tea. They also have a wall display of 20+different teas and yet they only have one kind of green tea even though they have a sign saying they sell matcha? And the only iced tea they sell is Lipton in a bottle? My husband got a brownie, which he enjoyed. Not my thing. I will skip Jahva. read more

This is the first place I take family and friends when they come into town and if I'm having a bad day I go here to pick up a coffee and enjoy chatting with friends (there is always somebody there to chit chat with) or rob (the owner).
