Ole-Jax-Drive-In - The Pancho. Double meat, double cheese with green chili. With a small drink it was $10.70. 11.22.2024

RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 3 | Service: 4 | Ambiance: 2 | Price: 3 PARKING There was ample parking all around the building at 11 AM. LOCATION/AMBIANCE It's located fairly in the center of Lovington. Not difficult to find with the purple and white stripes. I know it happens, but it's gross to see a rat trap in front of the building. And hoards of pigeons hang out above the covered parking where I had to position my trusty Jeep to wait for my food. The other thing I was irritated by was there was no visible menu at the drive-thru window. THE GRUB I asked about the Pancho burger which did not have a description on the menu the nice employee handed me. He said, "double meat, double cheese with green chili, ketchup and mustard..." I stopped him. "I'll take one of those without ketchup and mustard. Add mayo." When I got it, it was smaller than anticipated for it being $10.70 with a small drink. The meat tasted a bit weird to me. They went skimpy on the veggies. I barely had any lettuce. Nothing else. LITTLE YELPER'S CLUB I don't recall seeing a kid's menu. SERVICE Was nice, but not well-rehearsed in how much their specials were. MY FAVORITE PART... It's got some old school charm. NOT SO FAVORITE PART... I wanted so bad for the burger to be a Lovington favorite, but it was not.

What can I say? I love Whataburger and this was the pretty standard experience, which is always…read moregood. The wait was a bit long as I ordered online and still had to wait a while after getting there, but they were VERY busy and I imagine they were one of the only places open late on a Tuesday night. We noticed a lot of the local restaurants were closed on Tuesdays. Food was delicious as expected. Service was very good as well.

Disappointing Curbside Experience - Not Worth the Wait…read more I placed a curbside order at 8:13 PM and didn't leave until 8:56 PM--a 43-minute wait for a to-go meal. I even called the store at 8:45 and was told my food would be brought out. It wasn't. Another customer who arrived after me got their food first. Only then did a staff member ask if I was still waiting and finally brought my order. Turns out my food had been sitting under the heat lamp the entire time. The Dr Pepper Blackberry Shake had to be remade on the spot because it was no longer presentable (on the plus side, my wife loved the shake). Unfortunately, the rest was a mess: Cold burgers Terrible fries (I had to reheat them in my air fryer) One burger was supposed to have everything except mustard, but came completely plain A manager (I believe named Dan) spoke with me but said there was nothing they could do about a refund because it was an online order. I spent $44 for what was supposed to be a quick meal. For that price and time, I could've sat down at Applebee's, ordered three full-size burgers with drinks and fries, tipped 20%, and still spent less money for better service and food. Chili's and BWW offer similar deals. Really disappointed this time. Hopefully they can improve the curbside process, because this was not Whataburger's best. At least, I hope it's not.

Blake's Lotaburger - Breakfast burritos!

Welcome to the community, Blake's Lotaburger - Store #83!…read more Their opening day was yesterday Tuesday, January 21, 2025. I brought my oldest daughter here to get an after school snack. The drive-thru line was super long at about 4PM and folks were rushing inside from the parking lot. So we bailed. Lol. It's located next to Texas Roadhouse in north Hobbs. Other plans for the plaza-to-be are in the works. Open daily until 10PM. Good for breakfast! Drive-thru is available. A bit slow for one breakfast sandwich for me on 1.22.2025, but they were friendly & it was served hot. They have a separate drive-thru line for online orders. Blake's, established in 1952, is famous for incorporating green chile into their offerings. There are several scattered throughout the Land of Enchantment as well as a few in Tucson, AZ, and El Paso, TX. I personally recommend the Lota breakfast sandwich with sausage ($6.71). It entails two eggs omelette-style with cheese and your choice of sausage or bacon topped with green chile, served on a soft, smooth buttery bun. Good filler for all-day-on-your-feet days! For lunch, I would opt for the green chile cheeseburger, no mustard and add mayo. It pairs nicely with onion rings. I'm not a fan of their natural fries, although, I still need to try their seasoned fries. Looking forward to trying a seasonal Biscochito Cookie shake some day too. My little brother claims that their food isn't as good as it used to be. It's a bit of a dive place, but there are hardly any other choices in Eunice. It still tastes the same to me. Thin burger patties like I like them. Crispy tater tots like I like them. They have that nice pea-sized ice that is funny to chomp on too. Oh, and their sodas have always been fresh. All fizz. Free refills. The service is okay. There is usually at least 5 people waiting in line at the drive-thru. And lots of Eunice people seem to pick up their orders to go. But we like sitting inside where it's nice and cool. The TV may be set to a ball game or the news. Honestly, the neatest thing I like is the table tops. Local advertisements are lacquered on them. Because I grew up around the area and am familiar with most of the companies, it's funny to look at the bad designs of the ads. The restrooms are not the best, but what more could you expect from such a tiny oilfield & uranium enrichment plant town? I'll miss the simplicity of this place for sure. Review #88

I had a grilled chicken sandwich and a medium soft serve cone. The chicken sandwich was pretty basic, not great but also not bad, basically it hit the spot. However, the soft serve was really good. This place really reminds me of Dairy Queen. The staff, which consisted mostly of high school kids, were very nice. The prices were very reasonable and the place is clean. I would definitely return if I pass through Eunice again.
