Gas was up to $3.10 for regular unleaded. No coconut water of any kind available. Bummer. The cashier was friendly, but she was the lone employee we saw working. She needed help as the line was fairly long when we walked in. The trash cans outside desperately needed emptying. They have restrooms, but we didn't use them. Safe travels!

I bet it's going to be great whenever the Lea County Fair and PRCA Rodeo opens this weekend (August 2-10, 2024). For a town this size, this is a large gas station with pumps in the front and big rig pumps in the back and a convenience store to boot. The Maverick brand snacks are slightly more affordable than the bigger name brands. Make sure to enroll for their rewards because they constantly give out free food and drinks... all the classic junk foods perfect for a road trip. Lol. I got carded back in late June 2024 buying a roll of Copenhagen for my cowboy (because it's significantly cheaper in New Mexico compared to Colorado where he lives). Thanks for making me feel younger.

The clerk was friendly & funny. Service was a bit slow due to their card machine acting funky - or as the clerk joked - special. I came for fuel. Prices per gallon as of 3.20.2025: Diesel = $3.35 Regular unleaded = $2.90 Plus = $3.30 Premium = $3.70 Big rigs are welcome. Pumps are to the side and around back. And because I was super curious about the shop side, I walked out with Brownsboro blueberry green tea by Texas Tea ($2.69) and a small pack of Sahale's pomegranate vanilla flavored cashews ($2.59). I'm a fan of this Texas/New Mexico outfit!

At the register they are friendly and fast. I'm usually here to pick up a case of beer or lotto scratchers for my kids when they make good grades. Oh, and their 10-lb. bags of ice. The last one I got was under $2.50. Also, this is the cheapest gas on this side of town. The lowest I've seen it within about a year's time was back in December 2022 at $2.98 per unleaded gallon. The self-serve Alon gas station itself is fairly large. Diesel is available in both the car area plus there is a separate area for big rigs. Nearby is a decent park called Del Norte Park with a dog park on the east side. I said decent. It's gone downhill a bit, but I still walk my brother's dog there. Also next door is a car wash with self-serve stations, two drive-thru automatic stations, and a dog wash area. There really needs to be more cross walks in this area for the influx of pedestrians. So be careful of jaywalkers!
