This was the mid 1990s. She was distraught. In tears. I'll never forget it. My dad was calm & reassuring her everything would be okay. Her purse was stolen out of the car with my grade school brothers sitting in the back seat while she was inside paying. My mom never saw the guy. My brothers said they didn't know what to do. The guy smiled at them & just grabbed her purse then was gone. They remembered her had really bad teeth. He took all kinds of stuff that day. Not just credit cards, check book & cash. Address book. Photos. Other items. It was the Mary Poppins bag of purses, of course. So this place still gives me the creeps. Weirdos still hang out here - just like every where else. But the worst thing is this parking lot. It's a tight fit. Many jay walkers in this area too. Another reason I dislike this station even as it is convenient for my daily errands.

Now I'm stoked about their newest menu item - the "Cheesesteak Melt" ($6.99). On 5/10/2023, I ordered through the app as I have been for pickup. The order was ready on par (approximately 10 minutes) according to the app. Served hot and fresh every time I've came here. Sometimes they are out of certain 20 oz. drinks. Then they have 2 choices when you show up for your order. The best part is... there is a drive-through window. All of this makes it a breeze for a single working mom to bring lunch to her kids at school & eat with them at their cafeteria on Friday.

One coupon was a buy one get one free windshield wiper. So I went and checked the place out since my wipers have seemingly went kaputz... The place wasn't too busy mid morning at about 11:30. As soon as Logan, a friendly employee, said they didn't have any in stock. I should've just left because I wanted them in that moment. But I was waited patiently until Logan found for me some that would have came from O'Reilly's. A MasterPro pair would have been under $43 - not even mentioning the coupon. He didn't tell what size they were, though. I have never tried that brand of wipers, however, Logan said he's never heard any complaints about them. I didn't tell him this, but I thought, "Thanks, but I'll just head to town and get them myself and not have to wait a day since the rain has already started." Might price out some big o' tires here someday. Check them out in their "Big O" new shiny building just outside of Hobbs, NM, on the Carlsbad Highway. Closed on Sundays.

The "tuner", Jose, conveyed to me that he was the only tech in the area who knew how to work on this particular model. The inspection report comes back with one major issue and everything else in great shape. When I receive the vehicle, the suspension is bouncy and rattling. Brakes are pulsating. Parking brake doesn't hold the car if pushed by hand. And it feels like there is drivetrain noise as well. Also "fluids checked out", but an entire reservoir is empty with a cap missing (seller later tells me, he's been driving it that way for months). The car has already been purchased and transport paid for. When I called about this inspection being faulty, I got an apology. But that was it.

He smarted off and said, they are all being used. 5 min later, slowing moving employee came out and started cleaning the showers from previous users. After he cleaned 3, he hit some buttons and my number was called. The showers were not being used. They were just not worried about cleaning them and keeping the line moving. Poor customer service

Not sure about the ambiance inside. The drive-thru menu is easy to read while the speaker works well for ordering. On 7/14/2023 it was odd that the cashier told me I had to park in their private lot to wait for my order. Less than 5 minutes after paying, the cashier brought the 8-piece meal with two large sides & 4 biscuits out ($29.49). I guess it was just in case it took longer... The mashed potatoes and gravy are still really good. That mac n cheese, though, is so bland and mushy. The biscuits could be better -- they weren't quite like I remembered them either. The cashier was very friendly. Maybe the crispy recipe will be a bit more "finger-lickin' good." :)
