Definitely stay away from this predatory company.

Who then brought up things about the property that were not event listed correctly, such as the new septic going in is actually only going to be for a two bedroom home. Also mentioned how she was concerned with my bank approving the inspection because there is a broken glass slider, which I said I would take care of. Seemed like she was just trying to get me to not buy the house, and that maybe she wanted to sell it to her client to get full commission. Or for whatever reason. I was approved for a $440,000 mortgage loan. After the counter offer, at 853pm, she texted my agent, addressing it to me directly, says that she is only taking best offers, which is also very unprofessional. That would be like my real estate agent contacting the home owner directly. So I put in an offer for $321,123! The home is listed for $309,900, and today, around 430pm, where my contract is only valid until 5pm, she said that they accepted someone else's offer. She gave me a counter offer, which I accepted. I already talked to a real estate attorney and William Raveis headquarters, whom both say that yes, that verbal agreement, and I have it in a text message, is binding, but because of Covid-19 and the court system, there isn't much to do about restraining this person's real estate license. It is very wrong for her to say that my offer is accepted, get my hopes up and everything, then accept someone else's offer, that I am sure was not as high as mine. I talked to Marcus but little if anything changed. I looked closer at the policy. They had our employee cost at $420,000 a year when it is closer to $120,000. There were many add ons that were not accurate. I checked with my insurance agency managing my residential property. I cancelled Marcus Insurance since I feel they jacked up our rates to cover their cost of merging to another larger firm. My new coverage is half as much. Calls to the old former owner Mitch sound like I am being transferred to a Florida home. He was pleasant but his son with the red hair has little interest, is rude, and janked the papers I came to sign to cancel with Marcus Insurance out of my hand. Look at other agencies. They are overpriced.

I had a disasterous situation a few years back, and State Farm made good on it. Naturally, if they're assisting you on a 23k loss - you have to understand your bills are gonna go up- but in all honesty it wasn't as bad as it could have been...and I'd want the company that was there for me to recoup their losses someday. Two years later, what began as a quick account review by Justin at Coe's office to see if State Farm could meet my USAA rates...became a meet and BEAT by far. Between the rate beat and an added incentive to bundle, I actually decided to up my coverages too(as it was 'found' $, that I didn't have before). To go from 50/100/50 to 250/500/250 was a smarter move now that I actually have things to lose- and I had been being cheap / under protected all along.
