Hit a nasty pothole and bent my wheel on the front side... Didn't realize that it was such a big issue until I called around every shop around the area and nobody would take it. Thought all hope was lost and I'd have to get a new set until I came across these guys. Dropped it off at 1pm and got it back by 5pm the next day! Super fast and extremely nice staff members! BUYER BEWARE!!!! Tim, the owner, is very rude, unprofessional, and unwilling to accept responsibility for work performed in his shop. I've been dealing with him for the past 6 months on a wheel that they ruined and will not refund me my money, which was paid to them in good faith, for a repair that was not completed properly. Their mistakes cost me a lot of extra money (read below). BOTTOM LINE, ALLOY WHEEL SOLUTIONS DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK!!!! I brought them a wheel that had curb rash and they said they could fix the wheel and make it look new. Initially, the wheel looked satisfactory when I got it back from them but after a few weeks, I started having problems with my car shaking when I applied the brakes. I took my car to the dealership and they found out that the wheel, that was supposedly fixed by Allow Wheel Solutions, was not repaired correctly. They had over-sprayed the back side of the wheel that bolted up to the rotor. This caused the rotor to warp because there was not a flat surface to mount to. The dealership also pointed out that the finish was fading on the paint that Alloy Wheel Solutions used and they didn't machine the wheel correctly. To fix the issue the dealership had to install a new wheel and brake rotor. This is on a car that only had 7,000 miles! I took the wheel back to Alloy Wheels and showed Tim. His first response was "that's not supposed to be painted" referring to the overspray on the back side of the wheel. I told him I wanted to be reimbursed for the replacement wheel and brakes. He then starts to tell me that he didn't fix the wheel and they USE A THIRD PARTY COMPANY!!! He then tells me that he needs to consult them of refunding me for the damages. Throughout the entire time dealing with Tim, he has never called to update me on the status of the claim. I either had to call or stop by their shop to get an update. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! After several months of dealing with the third party company, they finally admitted that they over sprayed the back side of the wheel. They would only take responsibility for the wheel and not the brakes. The third party company issued me a check to cover the wheel. I am still waiting for Tim to refund me the initial $200 that it cost to fix the wheel, which clearly was not fixed correctly. He says that the issue has been resolved by the third party company but they only reimbursed me for the cost of the wheel. Why would the consumer be responsible for the cost of the initial repair that added additional costs to me, the consumer. I just want to be made whole, even though it also made me pay for the cost of new brakes on a car with only 7,000 miles. Even though their motto may be "Fixed right the first time", I found this to be a farce, and would not recommend using this company to anyone! read more

I cannot recommend these guys any more highly. Last weekend, I was in northern Virginia from out of town. Shortly after noon on the last day of my conference, I went to my car to find I had a flat tire. AAA discovered the problem was the wheel was cracked and said it would be two (2) days before they could get a new one . . . two more days stuck away from my family . Luckily, the AAA manager knew of these folks, made a call, and they squeezed me in right before they closed. Got it fixed the same day. My mistake: Moving to Virginia/DC area is hard on a car. The littany of potholes is unforgiving and it was only a matter of time before I would be unable to avoid a big one. That and I was doing donuts in a snow coverred parking lot one day and curbed myself (don't judge me). The issue: Potholes create lateral inconcistencies and curbs create horizontal issues. Dave, longtime owner operator, explained to me the differences and the methods used to reverse the damages as well as the options I had available to me depending on the severity. Resolution: Dave walked me through my options and the various constraints. I made a decision to replace the two wheels affected and his wife Judy turned around a quote expeditiously. The wheels came in the next week, Dave unmounted the tires, transfered my TPMS sensors to the new wheels, mounted the tires back on the new wheels, and ballanced them both taking care to hide the weights behind the spokes. His use of the tire mounting machine is artistic. There wasn't as much as a blemish on my new wheels. Summary: I couldn't be happier with the service, price, and quality of work. Paid $1,400 at a Tesla Service Center to get a wheel replaced on my Tesla Model S since it was bent. Was told that I needed to get the other 3 wheels replaced as well as they were all slightly bent and had quite a bit of cosmetic damage. I did the math and brought my car here instead. Hoping that they could straighten the other 3 wheels and make them a bit more presentable. Picked up my car today and the results far exceeded my expectations. This place should be called Alloy Wheel Problems, not Solutions. I really wish I had listened to all the negative reviews, but I thought it can't be that bad right.....wrong, it can be. I had some slight wheel rash on my rim. I was told it would be a simple quick repair. It was anything but. We don't live nearby, so we decided to stay two nights in a hotel on our way back from a weekend trip because we were told our rim would be done by that Monday. Monday comes and we were told that our rim was shipped but they had no idea where it was. First off, why was it shipped? We were not told upfront that another shop would be doing the repair. Once they found it and we finally received the rim, it was completely ruined. The color was different. It was shaved down into a slightly different shape and there was black back splash all over it. Tim offers to purchase a new rim from our dealership. He lied, he doesn't. He buys a reconditioned rim from a secondhand company. Of course, it doesn't match either due to it being reconditioned. We try to reach him everyday after and all we get is random cryptic text messages back that make no sense whatsoever. We stopped by his office and not a soul was to be found. Standing in his office for several minutes, we tried calling and no one would even come out to answer the front desk phone. We call and text letting him know we'd like to close out our business with him. We give him the option to take this secondhand rim back and purchase the correct one to replace the one he ruined or we are going to keep the rim and sell it to recoup some of the replacement cost we are now stuck with because of him. Not once were we rude or out of line. We just simply asked that he make a mistake that he made right. If you run a business, stand behind it...simple. Of course, no answer...no communication. He ruins a $900 rim that was supposed to be a simple repair and now we have a bigger problem than we had in the first place. So much for those solutions we were promised. My advice is don't walk away from this place, RUN!! read more

I curbed 2 rims on my E60 (fortunately not at the same time). One was standard curb rash, but the other took a small chunk off of the lip (clipped the corner of a rogue island @a parking lot @Tyson's). I had previously looked into buying a new rim, but the prices were astronomical. So I decided to pull the trigger and get both rims repaired. After searching through Google and cross-referencing with Yelp, I decided on Alloy Wheel Solutions (AWS). I gave them a call and spoke to Dave who was personable and professional and beyond knowledgeable to boot. I emailed Dave pictures of the damage and he called me back to explain the different repairs available, along with the pros and cons of each and pricing estimates. Using email and the phone with Dave/AWS was very convenient and saved me a lot of time. Ultimately, I decided on getting both rims refurbished, and the end results were rims that looked practically brand new...right down to the new "M" logos (which I thought would go missing). I was also in the midst of replacing my tires, and Dave mounted and balanced them for a small fee. Dave tried get me a deal on the tires but ultimately could not find the exact ones I wanted. So I ended up buying them on my own online and bringing them in for him to mount. AWS is family-owned and operated and both Dave and his wife, Judy, were an absolute pleasure to deal with and made me feel like family. Actually, they were more like parents in that they didn't try to upsell me on anything and even gave me tips on what could be done to save on costs.
