Actually, I wasn't really aware that I had lost my life. I was frustrated with some pounds that wouldn't budge. I had tried all the things. All the diets. I tried any fitness regimen that any blog, magazine, neighbor, friend or dog suggested to no avail. Add on to that, a year of pandemic-comfort food eating-binge drinking-soul searching-extra baggage carrying mania and by January 2021 I was ready for a change. While I was ready for a change, I was also dead scared any nutritionist would take away all my champagne and comfy carby carbs. One of my top favorite things about working with Lori is we took it slow and easy! We made little tiny baby steps that added up to little tiny baby changes. It got the ball rolling without feeling like I was sacrificing anything or missing out. The second thing I love about Lori is that she practices what she preaches. She works out, she eats clean, and she takes her own advice. I found that not only to be mesmerizing but inspiring. Anyone can be a teacher but a great teacher is also a great leader by example! So how I found my life that I didn't realize I had lost....Well through our sessions we talked about many other things besides food. Like my work, my husband, our home life, habits, patterns, emotions etc. Through this process of digging stuff up and sifting it out we found that the over eating and over drinking came from a deep dark place of unhappiness. Again, Lori didn't take things away but added things back in that made me happy. I had forgotten how much I love to paint. I had forgotten how to be happy sober. I had forgotten how to express myself under pressure to my boss, to my husband, to my family and to myself. As more happiness crept in, more unhappiness crept out. As the unhappiness left my need to eat and drink like a termite vacated. I'm still a work in progress but aren't we all right?! I will be forever grateful for my time with Lori and the insights and tools that she has given me!

Having a diet coach has honestly changed my life for the better…read more Living with lymphocytic colitis isn't easy. There are days when your body feels unpredictable, when food feels like the enemy, and when energy levels can swing all over the place. Before working with my diet coach, I spent a lot of time guessing, trying different foods, reading conflicting advice, asking ChatGPT and hoping something would finally work. Working with Leila completely changed that. She helped me understand my body instead of fighting against it. We built a structured approach to eating that supports my condition, focuses on low-FODMAP principles, and prioritizes gut healing rather than just temporary fixes. Because of that guidance, I've been able to stabilize my symptoms, improve my energy, and feel far more confident about what I'm putting into my body every day. One of the biggest changes I've noticed is in the gym. By dialing in my nutrition, especially adding fruits before my workouts for clean, quick carbs, I've had better lifts, more consistent energy, and overall stronger sessions. On top of that, I'm actually hitting my diet goals consistently, which used to feel impossible but now 200 grams of protein is nothing! Leila is a cheat code, she knows all the tricks. What I appreciate most is that this wasn't just about food, it was about building a sustainable routine and learning how to listen to my body. When you're dealing with something like lymphocytic colitis, that kind of support can make all the difference. I'm genuinely grateful for the impact she's had on my health, my performance, and my life. I will be coming back to her as my body changes. The only difference is now I am happy man and can live a normal life

I wanted to try my hand at powerlifting and work on my overall strength since I don't get to move too often for my job. Because I had a fairly delicate pregnancy and was being extra cautious, I didn't work out much during pregnancy. By the time I returned, I had taken nearly 16 months off from consistent training, and it showed. My strength, mobility, and overall fitness had regressed significantly. Anyone who has been through a postpartum journey knows how challenging it can be to start again while breastfeeding, functioning on interrupted sleep, and adjusting to a body that feels different than it once did. What impressed me most about Hideout was how well the trainers understood this. They took the time to assess where I was physically, identify my strengths and weaknesses, and guide me back one step at a time. On my first day, I was incredibly tight and hesitant. I struggled to squat and was genuinely nervous about even gently bending my knee. Four months later, I was barbell squatting 110 pounds without pain. That transformation is just one example. The improvements in my strength, mobility, range of motion, and overall fitness have been incredibly encouraging. The progress has been so rewarding that I rarely miss a session--even on the days when I'm exhausted. My coach does an exceptional job of meeting me where I am each day, modifying workouts based on my energy levels, recovery, and capabilities while still keeping me moving toward my goals. What Hideout offers is more than just workouts. They have a team of knowledgeable, educated, and highly skilled coaches who understand that every person is different. They tailor their approach to each individual's body, strengths, limitations, and goals. That level of personalization makes all the difference. It takes a lot to trust someone with your body and your health. I can unequivocally say that placing my trust in Hideout Fitness was one of the best decisions I made. I've worked with some phenomenal trainers over the years, so I don't give strong recommendations lightly. This team truly knows what they're doing, and they bring genuine passion and dedication to their work. Your success feels like their success, and that's a rare quality to find. I wholeheartedly recommend Hideout Fitness to anyone looking to make meaningful progress on their fitness journey. Whether you're returning after a long break, navigating postpartum recovery, or simply trying to become stronger and healthier, you're in excellent hands.
