Coach Stephen from Hideout Fitness is the best personal trainer in Orange County I have been training with Stephen for 5-years now & he has completely transformed not only my body, but also my life. He is truly brilliant when it comes to training & has the credentials to back it (B.S. Kinesiology- strength & conditioning, NSCA- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, USAW-1 + over a decade of coaching experience & personal lifting experience). I went into lifting with false prophecies from doctors telling me I'd never be able to squat past parallel or be strong or athletic... Stephen showed me they were wrong. Today I can squat until my butt touches my heels "ass to grass" with 0 pain. Haven't had any injuries since training with him. Any aches or pains I've had from overuse in my own job (I'm a full time yoga teacher) he has helped me overcome & get back to pain free quickly. He's helped me through knee, ankle, wrist, and neck problems. Seriously he's a miracle worker! Beyond that though, he has also gotten me SO strong. For my first several years with Stephen I trained to compete in Olympic weightlifting. Just today I hit a 9kg back squat PR at 86kg and a bench PR of 53kg. I weigh 60kg. I am so stoked on these lifts! As a woman, for me, lifting and getting stronger has been one of the best things I've done for my self confidence. I love knowing that I can take care of myself. I love being able bodied. I love the sense of independence I have because I am strong. So beyond just physically being strong, I also feel like a badass. I believe every woman deserves to feel that way. I've been working out with Coach Jacob for the past 4 months and have been impressed with the amount of growth in size and strength since I started. I've been weight lifting for over 10 years following workout programs that I've found online or from friends. I never felt the need to hire a trainer since I thought I did a decent job. It was only after my wife trained with Coach Jacob for 3 months and strongly suggested that I give it a shot did I decide to sign up. It was eye opening just the first few weeks. He was able to help identify the areas of my body that were weak and need to improve so that I can build a solid foundation. He provided me with stretches to prepare my body for weight lifting and helped dial in the macros that I needed to nourish my body. Most importantly, he helped me correct the form for all the exercises that I was doing improperly for the last decade.
