This shop differs from other local antique shops in that it sells more small pieces and collectibles, rather than large pieces of expensive furniture and framed paintings. It's a much cozier and more welcoming feel than the showroom-style places nearby where you're scared to touch anything with a price tag on it. I collect vintage compacts and cosmetics and Un-Common Antiques has saved me a couple trips to Concord, as I can find the pieces I'm looking for here without the ridiculous markups and the long drive.

Initially, I thought of buying one of my choices sight unseen online, but was glad to have visited the store and try out various chairs, settling on a model different from my initial choice. Delivery happened on the day scheduled, and the two gentlemen who delivered my recliner set it up within 5 minutes. Why five stars? My experience was very unlike the others who have rated this store.
