This store is beautiful! Literally. I wish I took photos. Walking in from Main Street in Hyannis (on a sunny, crisp fall day)... I didn't know where to browse first. There were very unique and modestly priced jewelry items, gifts for almost anyone I could think of. I purchased four cards. Very nice selection ..... Many "fun gifts" mage from recycled and repurposed items. The kitchen cutting boards are bright and colorful... I have been visiting family and this is the first time I have ever seen this unique store. The woman working was so kind and helpful. If you happen to be in the Barnstable/Hyannis area, please take a peak. Some of the stores turn over quickly. I am almost certain Alium will be in business for years to come. What a fun store. They sell things I've never seen ANYWHERE else which made it memorable. Whoever is the buyer for this shop is seriously like a museum curator, that's how cool I found this stuff to be. Kicking myself for not buying that Bao Bao bag. Excellent local shop open year round. I always find something in here every time I visit. They have an assortment of unusual kitchen gadgets that are definitely beyond what you'd find in Homegoods. We're talking some creative speciality products. For example, a ladle but not an ordinary ladle a flexible one that not only scoops but also scrapes soup out from the pot. Also, a giant scooping spatula for amassing a plate of French fries right off a baking sheet. There's also some jewelry, cards, baby gifts, home decor and a really nice selection of bags. Awesome place if you want a specialty traveling bag like for a personal item carry on or small totes for traveling. Always friendly and helpful. Excellent COVID precautions with the staff spraying hand sanitizer on your hands when you enter (with your permission, of course). Wish they had a bigger store because the concept of what they carry is so great. I'd love to see more bags and unusual kitchen gadgets. read more

Eclectic store on main street with an awesome selection of everything from purses and bogs to kitchen utensils. The hand picked items are incredible. One of the nicest stores on main street. Staff is nice and efficient. Well laid out store. Items you would never see before like baby utensils and toys to jewelry. Lite and bright inside, very happy. This is not a family friendly place ti shop. My children were exploring the store and were constantly told not to touch toys for sale. my daughter was told by the clerk that she had to buy an item because she touched it. The clerk said that she had lost money since the kids were playing with fidgets. when I tried to reason with the clerk, she asked me to leave, in front of my children. I explained that if she has this do not touch policy, she should post a sign. I also explained that children are not like adults and that she should be more understanding. The clerk was rude to my children, rude to me, had an entitled air about her. I encourage others to patronize another shop that doesn't mistreat families. read more

Love love this store! This store has such unusual items you wouldn't think existed but this store finds them. The prices are reasonable for the touristy area. The employees and owner have always treated us nicely. This have almost every item unpackaged so you can actually play with it. Can't say enough good thing about this store. read more

Lovely! I was walking by and a necklace in the window caught my eye. I went in and chatted with the proprietor. They have a nice selection of everything under the sun from jewelry, signs, cards and gifts. I purchased a beautiful crystal necklace on a memory wire and am thrilled with it. She told me where they were made, with what materials and a little about the artist who creates these necklaces. Wish I had more time to look around but my friend is not a "Browser" like I am. Will definitely go back and spend more time looking through everything. read more

What made Allium an inspiring store to shop in though, was the fact that next to most of the items there was a biography of the artist who made them. In a Covid world, where its become normal to be isolated from others, the displays helped me feel connected to the artists. Our worlds have all become a lot smaller in the last year, but Allium was a respite from littleness; the artists' bios and unique items served as an invitation and doorway to open up. The nicest thing you could say about this store is that it is not a tourist gift shop. There are loads of interesting items that you won't have seen before. They stock items ranging from sink stoppers to quality travel luggage to hand blown glass balls. The prices were very good. I checked the two luggage bags and they were cheaper than Amazon. Staff were highly attentive and I liked the fact that the owner had her mum working there which added to a family feel. Open all year round, which is a bonus to Cape residents like me who try not to shop at season-only stores who make their money and run. read more

I was in Hyannis for a long weekend this past weekend and ventured up and down Main Street several times. Went in here and bought several little gifts for family back home. Ladies were so helpful, wrap in lovely paper and bag and are really informative about some of the handmade items they have - i bought two fish (made out of disposable plastic bottles). SeaSodies were the name - they are so cute!! Great prices, great value and that extra customer care really makes this a must stop in future! read more

The owner is so helpful if you need suggestions but sits back and lets you poke around if that's more your style. Her mom is a peach too! I am a longtime Cape Cod resident with no ties to the shop -honest - and this is my go-to place for gift giving year-round. And of course Main Street Hyannis in the summertime is loads of fun. A must stop on Hyannis' Main Street I must start by saying that my first trip into the shop was bitter sweet. I got a product that was less then perfect. Now, if you think customer service is dead... The owner of the store contacted me about the product I was not thrilled with. I felt a little heartbroken that I have left the states to travel overseas, not to return for some time. When I told her this, I fully expected her to say, "well, that's a bummer", but instead she insisted on making it right, and sending me a replacement. I am blown away! Not only is the store adorable, and unique, but the customer service is this shop are head and shoulders above the rest. Don't get me wrong... Many small shops on the Cape are lovely, and have good service, but I think it is a very special shop to track down a disappointed shopper and make things right even when the customer is an ocean away.
