Beth is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She goes out of her way to make sure that you're finding what you're looking for. If you are Rich, of slight build, and like the unique, the chic, the boutique, then this is your place to shop consignment. I am neither rich nor slightly built so nothing would fit my body or my wallet! Though I must say there was some very unusual-in a good way-styles to be seen there. I walked around several times, perusing the jewelry and other accessories, but they too were overpriced. When I was there I learned the owner was from Canada as she spoke French to a few clients it appeared she knew. At first they spoke in hushed voices but eventually were laughing and carrying on. Some of what they were laughing was rude and at my expense. I understand French and at one time spoke almost fluently, but I didn't let them know it. I just left feeling like they thought I wasn't good enough to buy something at Whimsy! To the owner...you never know who speaks the same language as you do, so try to be kind with your words. YOU are not deserving of my purchasing power! Keep your clique, junior high attitude and your high priced USED clothes, etc. There are plenty of other places selling similar couture at prices that fit anyone. A fantastic place to visit. Several small rooms, all with a nice variety of clothing, bags, shoes, jewelry, and even a store dog. There was a nice splattering of plus sized items as well. Oh my damn. Love. First of all - lovers of consignment and resale: brace yourselves. This consignment shop occupies the entire first floor of a huge and beautiful Victorian home. Just when you think you've seen the entire place, it unfolds into yet another room, and then another. Not only that, they have refurbished furniture galore (I'll forever long for a $150 velvet burnout upholstered boudoir chair), and a healthy mix of authentic vintage (a pair of art-deco printed Chico's jeans from the 1980s), along with remarkable mint condition resale pieces (a silk Nanette Lepore blouse and Desigual tunic - both still with the original tags). Expect an average price of $35 per piece. Also, the two women there were *lovely,* and fun, and put the cherry on top of their already wonderful store. Hit this store while you're in Cape Cod, it's one of the best I've ever been to (the damage to my bank account is the proof!!). Tip: not everything is marked down accordingly, so before ruling something out, double-check that it's not on sale. read more

This is the classiest Consignment Shop I've been to and I have seen a few. The special quality is here is that the garments aren't jammed together; they are thoughtfully arranged and accessorized and they feel and look barely worn, or new. The quality is high and prices are very reasonable. The ladies, Beth and Jodie, are easy to shop with and very helpful if you want help but will let you roam and leave you alone if that's what you want. I just bought a fabulous outfit for a wedding which they styled for me plus a faux fur vest for a daughter. My tab was what I would have paid for any single item. I need to check in there every month. I also bought a gorgeous pair of designer craftsman earrings this summer for a song and get so much use from them. They have the "eye." read more
