It's too bad it has come to this...once upon a time there were wonderful pieces, wonderfully priced. I hadn't been into the store for awhile. This visit I saw nothing I would purchase. There were stained and worn items; and the new with tags pieces were so out of date. Home decor and furniture was there because the owners did want them and neither did I. First time in Brewster location. Don't arrive late in day, you'll get shooed out door. The help is abrupt and lacks customer service. Didn't even look around. Customer service is much better, friendlier and welcoming in the Harwich location. Stick with them. read more

Nope nope NEVER. I am a long time shopper of vintage, thrift and consignment stores. I do know the deal. So when I moved to the area, I was really curious about Consigning Women. I went there looking for a gift for my sister. Bad mistake. The worst. When I entered the store, I was greeted with the "Can I help you?" "No thanks... I am browsing." Well clearly that was the wrong thing to say. (Excuse me, aren't you Supposed to browse in a consignment store? They don't exactly have regular stock.) I was apparently being tailed. Another "Can I help you?" Not yet, thanks. Then I noticed the Couture section. I headed over because that's my sister's groove. The next thing I know, my helper is BLOCKING Me. "We don't have anything in there in YOUR SIZE." SAY WHAT? Seriously? Now it's my experience that that level of rude isn't someone having a bad day. And an employer usually hires thar kind on purpose. I left shortly after, with a really bad taste. But when I was getting unpacked, realised I had some nice items, some still with the labels on, that I would probably not be using. So I called them to arrange a consignment appointment. "OH, WE ONLY ACCEPT LOTS OF TEN ITEMS." I had four. So sorry, not sorry. So Consigning Women, I suggest you take lessons in customer service. Bitchiness is not consumer friendly. Oh---and your stock was just ok. Nothing dazzling. And WAY overpriced. It is second hand clothing. Thirty percent under retail is no bargain. read more

They are snooty and condescending there. They like to talk to each other and make the customer stand there waiting. Its an annoyance to them if you ask them for help. They act like theyre doing you a favor to take your items. Items they get for free. They are all mature (putting it kindly) and act and dress like school marms. This consignment store is phenomenal. They carefully inspect each item that the accept, I only saw clothes on the rack that are in really great shape. The selection ranges from more pedestrian but nice items to very impressive brand names with prices that seem just right for consignment. The store is gorgeous, everything is arranged by both color and size and the store lighting is nice. Pleasant music plays in the background and the women who work here are just awesome. I thoroughly enjoyed the hour and a half I spent in the store and left with some wonderful pieces. read more

I'm surprised I'm the first person to write a review for this consignment store. This is a great place. The clothes buyer is very selective with the clothes they bring in and as a result, most everything is in great condition. This is a great place for everything from cute basics to original and quality well known brands. Plus, the woman working there today was so adorable, friendly and sweet. My only suggestion for them is to get rid of the 50 cent coupons they give you after you make a purchase. Although the coupon amount is based on the purchase price, 50 cents is ridiculous. Why not make it 10% off a low price purchase. You've got to give some incentive for customers to come back! You don't want to insult them with a 50 cent coupon. That just seems so cheap to me and probably to most people. Other than the coupon incident I highly recommend stopping into this place. Good finds at relatively inexpensive prices. read more

We had heard radio advertisements for this place and decided the pop over this location in Brewster which is just women's clothing. While the store layout was well put together the selection was very slim pickings. There was a Target brand t-shirt that was being sold for more than you can buy it brand new. Overall this location was not worth it though was off season (March) when we came, which could make a difference. read more

I love the Harwich store. Brewster is smaller and seems to be slightly more geared towards older women and slightly snootier...but only a tiny bit. I've found lots of gems that are basically new here but generally have better luck in Harwich. read more

Definitely geared toward the the more "matured" consumer. Not a great selection. Definitely over priced for the quality. Paying $30 for an outdated, used top when you can buy a similar garment elsewhere for a fraction of the cost...not my thing. The staff was extremely rude. My sister was trying on an outdoor coat and all a sudden a staff member tells at ger in a condescending way not to try on a coat in the store And had to go to the dressing room. Why? There's a line and it's a coat. It isn't like she is getting undresseed in public. Weird and Totally rude. Wouldn't recommend this place and would not come back. read more

Was rude to gentlemen who had a disability who had a coffee and asked the man to drink his coffee outside and then another older man came in with a coffee to buy a couch and they didn't say anything!! read more
