I ease-dropped in on the shop owner chatting with a woman who works at another clothing shop in town and was reminded of how sweet and simple human interaction can be. I felt almost as if I were an extra in a Hallmark film (in a good way, I swear). While the clothes are wonderfully selected and displayed, it was the decor that really blew me away. Browsing The House of Findings is truly an experience as the owner has put such care and attention into selecting the pieces that adorn the shop. From the egg-carton sculpture hanging from the ceiling to the collection of globes overhead as you enter to the ceramic figures scattered throughout, vintage clothing shopping has never felt more fun! If this place were to make it onto tiktok or instagram and start collaborating with local social media influencers then I'm sure they would blow up! While I did not purchase anything today I will certainly be back when I'm in more of a "shopping mood!" Thank you so much for having me!

If you take an early boat over, we usually grab the 9:05 from Hyannis and that gives us plenty of time to walk through. Watch your step and footing. The roads are cobble stone and very hard, uneven and unforgiving. People tend to get a little pushy-shovey and the it's densely packed. Crafts, art, food stuff (honey, spices, etc.), and farm fresh vegetables grown on island when seasonable. It's great, but we've never bought any vegetables as we'd have to carry them all day. That said, it is still a fun time. Keep it local!

I DID find one item that I would have purchased - a very cute Z Supply dress - but there was NO WAY I was going to purchase it after this experience. I did, however, go online and purchased it to be delivered to my home in California. I liked the brands that this store carries and did like the fact that they offer free alterations but if nobody is there to assist you - then why purchase? I will not be back.
