I Love Duluth - What it looked like when I bought it brand new. I love this it is comfortable. Decals last on them too

    I Love Duluth

We come to Duluth so frequently that I really view myself as more of a local than a tourist. But I…read moredo on occasion want to buy a new Duluth T-shirt, especially one that is funny. So I often stop in here when I'm in town to poke around and look for new stuff. It's like a T-shirt warehouse, with every kind of shirt you could imagine -- straightforward Duluth, MN type shirts or I love Duluth kind of shirts mixed in with funnier shirts for those who are more outgoing with their apparel. Buy two shirts that are more than $14.99 ea and get two for $25 is the standing deal. One thing I like is that the store is well-stocked. Signs invite you to ask for any shirt in any size up to 6XL (6XL!) if you don't see what you need on the shelf. There's also a selection of what I'd call NSFW shirts in the back corner. It is true that there are signs all over the place that are kind of along the lines of "if you break it you buy it" and "don't do this, don't do that," but it's a big place and it is the type of store that I'm sure lends itself to losses from shoplifting. I don't particularly blame them for this. As for the employees, they are not super friendly, nor do they go out of their way to help you. But I have personally never had a notable rude encounter, so I can't agree with the other reviews that the customer service here is that bad. It's definitely not awesome. But that has never prevented me from shopping here and (often) finding stuff I wanted to buy.

I bought this there on sale. I think i paid 15 for it. My boyfriends dogs got it dirty today. i…read morebought it clean and nice looking. The people working there were super nice to me. I had them custom make some shirts for me as well from some of the shirt decals they had hanging up on the wall to pick from. They carry larger sizes here too just ask and they will help you. I love it. I will be going back again when I visit duluth again. The decals did not come off the shirts after washing them too

I love this store I really do I always go there when I visit on the 4th. Me and my mom were looking…read morearound and I saw a keychain with my name on it and I jumped on the opportunity to buy it because it actually spelled my name right. But when we went to pay for it the cashier was like oh wow you're buying the whole store. I only get up there once a year and I always had a positive visit except for this one

I'm compelled to write this after seeing these 2 totally wrong reviews. We have visited Duluth for…read moreover 20 years now and have ALWAYS stopped in to see "Sandra" at Minnesota Gifts by Sandra Dee. That store has been there for over 3 decades for a reason! She's got it ALL there because she knows from experience what tourists/travelers need or forget when they leave home (especially when that lake drums up crazy unexpected weather) and what they might want to bring back with them! One time the rain came out of nowhere and we ran into the Dewitt-Seitz bldg., MN Gifts had rain ponchos (score), another time my wife forgot her jacket in the hotel room and that northern wind was blowing fierce, MN Gifts had awesome heavy sweatshirts for the whole family (still wear mine), my son got some gorgeous Lake Superior agates and cool MN stickers for his iPad/water bottle once, forgot sunscreen for the boat ride--you guessed it--MN Gifts had it, oh and lost my Ray-Bans one time and got a cheapo pair from MN Gifts (stylish and they lasted FOREVER). Best part though was the epic hand-painted antique saw blade we purchased one year for my dad to hang in the family cabin! "Sandra's" daughter is a local wildlife artist, and I can't even begin to tell you how incredible her work is! One could visit that shop just for the chance to snag a piece of MN beauty that'll last a lifetime (if they're not sold out already). My point is this is a unique "mom and pop" shop owned by locals, not some run of the mill chain, it's family-owned and MN Nice through and through. I think David S. in his post was jilted, and hey maybe "Sandra" was having a hard day, we ALL have bad days, but don't let that stop you from visiting her shop...we've been going there FOR DECADES and it's like visiting long lost friends. AND BTW my wife is disabled from an accident and uses arm crutches at times, we were never turned away for her being "disabled", but MN Gifts is a narrow shop and with all the treasures in there, there is not sufficient room for a wheelchair to maneuver around safely. That was likely the case for reviewer Barb S.
