Got estimate for the wrong destination, which he corrected. I accepted and we negotiated on the date and I accepted the date he suggested on 10-9 but by 10-12 had not heard back and emailed to ask about a contract. He replied that he would have a contract for me to sign ON THE DAY THEY ARRIVED FOR THE MOVE. I replied that I was not comfortable with that. On 10-13 got an email with excuses for the poor communication and stating that they were "increasingly busy" and could not give me the "level of service" I needed (signing a contract before the move) as they were "a small company" and advising I use someone else. I suspected they had ditched me for a better offer. So if you'd like poor communication, not getting a commitment or contract until the day of the move, a bunch of excuses and then backing out on the job, give Diego a call.

They did not even come to our home to give us an estimate; I had to FaceTime with them. The truck they used to load our stuff was not big enough, so they had to come back and work until midnight. The neighbors threatened to call the police. On another note, we paid serious bucks for the move and while submitting the payment we were kind of forced into leaving an additional 10% tip. My spouse told me that was the lowest pay option, and he is such a nice guy who can't say no. We are already paying for the labor, why do we need to leave a $600 tip on top of that? Also, to handle our furniture, they needed at least 5-6 people, but there were only three of them and they worked themselves to death. I feel bad for those three guys and it's not fair to them. FYI, if you need the company to hold on to your furniture, they also charge another $1000 for a week. I looked up other reviews for them and they are glowing with five stars. I'm not sure what I'm missing here. Really, please let me know. Why did I have this experience???? Update: I talked to them on the phone and we were accused of packing extra after they gave us an estimate. Never in my life have I felt my credibility attacked this much. They delivered the remaining furniture very late in March We feel like they held our stuff hostage. Summary: Not recommended.

The neighborhood is…read morea little rough, and nearby were once pit bulls running loose, but I feel safe inside the grounds. The management encourages all of the renters to key in their code when coming in our going out. Due to the redneck culture in Yakima many of the pickup-truck types blast on through rudely. That is not the fault of this storage facility. Every facility has some customers that use their rights to the premises to attempt break-ins of other units, but Yakima Secure Storage acts quickly on these problems as they have security cameras everywhere. The husband-and-wife team lives on the premises and they are always out and about keeping an eye on things. Also, the insurance they sell you for your belongings has a zero-deductible policy. That means if someone is actually able to break your lock, your loss will be reimbursed with no deductions. I moved from a larger to a smaller unit and the husband of this management team got out his cart and trailer and did all of the moving transportation for me. They offer automatic monthly billing from our checking accounts. The management and their policies are great. I wish the other residents and their manners were equally great, and I wish the neighborhood was a little higher class to drive through. However, at the risk of looking like someone influenced an excellent review out of me, I will have to give them five stars because I have had burglaries at other storage places I have rented from.
