Avoid. The company is truly bad. It was hard to reach them from the get go and their logistics was very problematic. They did not even come to our home to give us an estimate; I had to FaceTime with them. The truck they used to load our stuff was not big enough, so they had to come back and work until midnight. The neighbors threatened to call the police. On another note, we paid serious bucks for the move and while submitting the payment we were kind of forced into leaving an additional 10% tip. My spouse told me that was the lowest pay option, and he is such a nice guy who can't say no. We are already paying for the labor, why do we need to leave a $600 tip on top of that? Also, to handle our furniture, they needed at least 5-6 people, but there were only three of them and they worked themselves to death. I feel bad for those three guys and it's not fair to them. FYI, if you need the company to hold on to your furniture, they also charge another $1000 for a week. I looked up other reviews for them and they are glowing with five stars. I'm not sure what I'm missing here. Really, please let me know. Why did I have this experience???? Update: I talked to them on the phone and we were accused of packing extra after they gave us an estimate. Never in my life have I felt my credibility attacked this much. I was over charged $180.00 for one month of storage which I DID NOT use. After several conversations with them, they verified that there would be a refund. That was October 2023. I did talk to them in Nov, Dec, Jan and February, with no response. read more

These fellows moved my mother from her home to a retirement community last Saturday. There were some large and delicate pieces. They carefully wrapped all of those items and transported them with care. They were very polite and respectful. Unfortunately, one leg from an antique table popped off from the pressure of the bands they use and you could tell they felt horrible about it. My mother was quite upset at the time but has calmed down and now put it in perspective. We don't feel they were in any way careless-we understand that it was just an accident. Even so, they have said they will compensate us for it. The total cost came to more than we anticipated so will be interesting to see the itemization. Mendez movers were very professional throughout the entire process. Susan kept me up to date with everything regarding my move. The guys took great care at my new apartment to cover doors and door jams to prevent damage while moving my things in. The 2 guys that came were careful with my stuff and took time to strap everything in the truck securely. I really appreciate the professionalism and care that this small business has shown. I would highly recommend them for anyone who wants a stress free quality move! They will also assemble any furniture you need as well which was a huge bonus. A couple of hours before they were scheduled to be at my house for our entire house move, they said one of their trucks broke down and they didn't have time to move us. The only thing they could do for us was to move us the following Monday and a couple hundred for a hotel. Ended up having to rent a UHaul and call some guy from Craigs list to help with the moves. They used a lift for every item . They never used a ramp not even for smaller items . Which I feel greatly increased the length of time it took . I understand that it was a big job . But I was totally shocked at what I was charged . They put two queen mattresses on second level of this storage unit with only a ladder access. Guys were very thorough, nice and thoughtful. Got all my garage & equipment moved and in one piece. Their customer service & communication was great. Little pricey, but this is the first time I've used a service and from what I can tell, their rates are competitive. Only low part of the experience was that they showed up an hour late. read more

We are in the process of relocating to Yakima and needed someone to move some heavier furniture into our home. Noe and his helper, Koosh, were the perfect fit for us. Very reasonably priced; professional and courteous. They took extra care by putting down runners to protect our carpet and when they were done with the furniture and still had time on the 2 hour contract, they helped us by bringing in larger, heavier boxes and putting them in their designated rooms. If needed, we would not hesitate to use their services again. read more

My mother passed away in the middle of all the Covid 19 crisis. I flew up to Yakima from Florida to take care of her affairs and move a few of her pieces of furniture into a storage unit until relatives could come and get them. I needed a local mover that would be careful with the furniture, not too expensive and work on short notice. Noe Mendez made it all happen! Noe and his employee Ramon came on a Saturday and in under three hours the furniture was wrapped, loaded onto the truck and unloaded carefully at the storage facility. I was moving in to a new built home, which with all new builds dates tend to get pushed back. With that i spoke several times with Susan about moving my date. She was very understanding and said that this happens all of the time. Three days before my move out of my apartment, Ashley called and said that there had been some kind of mess up and they would have to rescheduled my move date (Feb 3rd). She offered Saturday 6th. (which moving on the weekends cost more $), that wasn't going to work so she then offered the 5th. but on the 5th i was supposed to give my key back to the land lord. So at this point i just said i would have to go some where else. Her last resort was to offer me the 4th. So why not start with that date??!! Because of them moving the date out on my i went ahead and started to move my stuff, between myself my son and my 70 year old mother. We moved almost everything that was on their list of items. So by the time the two mover guys got there on the 4th, there was just the large stuff to move. there was 12 furniture items and 8 totes. As they did their walk through, Ashley then called me accusing me of adding more items to there list. I explained that if anything i moved a large part of "their list myself", and if anything was so called added it was the totes, but given i am paying for them to move 15 boxes they could move 8 totes! i was going to take one of the beds to goodwill and a weight bench. One of the mover guys #1 said he would take them. I was fine with that, only to find out that the time he took to strap them down, and blanket them was charged to me. Guy # 2 was impressed that they got everything done in 2 hours.(i was not, they spent time talking to each other about personal things) They then took a lunch and would meet me at the now location. By the time they got to the new location some how 45 min. was added to my time (didn't know i was paying for their lunch?) . Guy #1 said they were unaware of the stairs at the new location and we even had the use of a person with a lift, which was to help lift large items to the second floor balcony. Which all of this was discussed with Susan and Ashley prior to even agreeing to use them. So now I'm being accused of not making them aware of stairs or the lift. I stayed at the original location, while my mom, son and daughter were there to assist the two movers. Between Ashley and the guy #1 peppering my cell phone about how they could move everything in the time frame, and would have to charge me for additional time. I thought I had selected a professional company to help make my move less stressful, but want i got was two movers that were so slow that my 70 year old mother could out work them both, and an office person that was milking her guys trying to get as much $$ out of me as she could. By the end of it all i just told them to dump every thing in the drive way as the construction guys on site would be more willing to work with me then they were. as the last item hit the ground they were on the phone calling me for payment. at the time i couldn't get to my phone but Ashley called me 3 times in a row. Sad thing was she had my credit card information on file so there was no need to call me. I went a head and texted her to use my card, and then went back to let her know that i shouldn't be charged for all the time it took them to package up the items they took home. They should have come back on their time to get them. But Ashley's games at that point were she couldn't get text's and i needed to call her. 30 min. she sent me a huge text message. Funny, i even comment that its nice that she can send a text but i couldn't and that it looked like her texts was working just fine NOW! After the hole thing just because they look like a reputable company doesn't mean they are. Susan was the only person from the group that was worth working with. If i could give a negative star i would. I was very disappointed in their so called professional service. read more
