To be fair with AEC Alarms, I decided to submit my own reviews as a recent AEC customer. In year 2023, AEC installed two new fire alarms systems for my two SF buildings. I dealt with Yat-Cheong Au, who was professional and responsive. Including AEC, I had three vendor proposals, and AEC was the lowest one. I decided to go with AEC and my experience has been pleasant and positive. They installed the two fire alarm systems as promised and passed the building inspections. The monitoring service has been okay too. My two systems have been online for six months and the only service issue was one time the alarm was continuously beeping after a power outage. I called AEC service and they walked me through the system reset procedure. After that, no more service issues. If I have any updated information on the AEC fire alarm systems and their monitoring service, I will post my reviews here again.

If you are using Comcast or AT&T the default business router is NOT enough protection! If you aren't ready to shell out big bucks for firewall overkill but don't want to get hacked, or worse, ransomwared, then you need to do something. I've installed untangle's NG Firewall for a couple of startups and it is super easy. If you already have a small network server you can run the apps on it, or you can pick up an inexpensive hardware firewall solution from them that is ready to go. The "everything" solution adds $50 a month, but for my AWS local sync'd backups, checking to see who's on the network, enforcing network policies, blocking ads, virus, trojan, phishing, spam blocking and keeping detailed logs it is great. If you run a coffee shop or school and need to block certain sites from consuming all your bandwidth this is an easy solution.

I am so happy to say that the quality of their products and sophistication of their employees was exceptional, including the service technician and delivery service. A month ago we placed an order of their Model #RF22K9381SR, it had to be shipped from Overseas, on a crate and to us here in Texas. Today the delivery service brought our fridge right on schedule, actually before they had originally said but called to confirm we were home. The service delivery guys carefully brought the fridge off the truck, carefully unwrapped the boxes and they did the installation in a speedy time. There was only one problem, the door has a ding near the door handle, the service technician immediately made nite of it and asked us if we wanted to replace the door or the whole unit? Since they don't get these specific type of fridge in store often, we did not want to wait a few months so we agreed to have them replace the door. Within 30 minutes of the delivery guys departure, Samsung North America in Iowa calls and apologized for the mishap, offers us $150.00 in credit and assured that we will be taken care of. We have been with a tiny fridge for a month and the only thing we want is to get that handled. We feel confident that they will get right on that and have our door replaced. Samsung handled this perfectly.
