I've had a completely nightmarish experience here. I came as a new patient for a cleaning and x rays in hoping to establish a new regular dentist. I was told my crown was broken and I needed a few fillings. I came in for the first session which was taking the old crown off and making an impression for a new one. The dentist had a very hard time getting my crown off and it took a very long time. The hygienist is very painful and was gagging me with the suction tool. At one point the dentist was just spraying water all over my face and not noticing at all. He told me he ran out of time to do the fillings and they would happen at my next session. When I returned to have my crown put on, I was scheduled with a different dentist who had zero idea I was supposed to be getting fillings. I had to ask and she seemed very confused and filled one cavity even tho I had been told I had multiple cavities that needed filling. All in all I left feeling mistrustful and insecure about the work I had done. On top of all of that, I asked for front desk what the cost of these services would be with my current insurance plan and was told the total would be $602. I paid in cash when I came to have the work done and was told I was all paid up. I then received a notice in the mail from my insurance saying that they weren't covering basically all of the care and that I would owe an additional $500. I spoke with the dental office and they filed an appeal which was denied and I was told I owed the balance. I set up a payment plan with the office to pay $100/month for the next 5 months. And now to my surprise and shock, I came home to a bill in the mail from the dental office stating "FINAL NOTICE!" for $948. This is completely in contrast with everything they told me, and I never once received a single notice from them about a balance. I am beyond upset. I wanted to support a mom and pop dental office and I feel like I've just been scammed. Will be canceling my future cleaning and never returning here. read more

Let me start by saying that I received very good dental care. I got a regular cleaning, and the dentist also showed me in detail how my nighttime teeth-grinding was affecting my teeth. I got fitted for a night guard, which works very well. However, the administrative side of the practice was very off-putting. I received a past-due bill in the mail, with no indication of how to pay it. The statement has a phone number to call with billing questions, but when I tried it, it says that it doesn't accept incoming calls. The statement also has some typos, which does not inspire confidence. I went to the website listed at the top of this review (allieddentistry.com), only to find that it does not exist. I finally paid over the phone, but I do not know what kind of steps the practice takes to keep clients' financial information secure. I won't be coming back until some of these issues are addressed. read more

The worst nightmare you can possibly have. he himself told me he keeps asking himself how can he improve!! Sir, if after 32 years of practice you did not improve now it is too late! I believe conscience, honesty, reputation are far more important than money. Even though his crowns were miserable, I never reviewed his work. however, when his receptionist ( Dalia ) is so rude, she either does not answer or hung up on me, a review is due. She is trained to support his shady practice. he cut the corner of my mouth while using a wrecking ball to force a crown that was not designed for me to come out. Blood was all over me, he had the audacity to take photos, I pray he did not delete them. Days went by and I could not eat or brush because of pain . Allied Dentistry is unprofessional to put it mildly. I came in for dental trays in April and was never given any updates from them. Even though 10 days later they knew my trays were rejected. I found out after coming in randomly in May and asking about the Invisalign trays that I had already started paying for. Quick to take money but slow to do their jobs. In May, I went up there and allowed them to take a second set of impressions even after the dentist messed up the first trays ( submitted with air bubbles-rejected by Invisalign). I requested a transfer and he refuses to turn in the one page form and continues to act unprofessionally. Save your time, energy, and money and do not come here for treatment or Invisalign. read more

I've been with Dr Sandhu for over a decade, and so have my kids. Simply stated, we moved away from the area and are still coming back to take care of our teeth, which in itself is a pretty big hassle. I honestly don't know that I can come up with a better recommendation than that. Dr Sandhu is caring, extremely proficient, and highly collaborative in his approach. This works very well for me because I thrive on detail, and having a doctor who treats me with respect for my ability to absorb and understand information as part of the decision making process is something I truly appreciate. He also never tries to push anything on me, even in situations where other doctors would do otherwise. Instead, he takes the time to discuss each individual circumstance and will plainly state his opinion - even if sometimes it means not undergoing expensive treatment, choosing to monitor it more closely instead. My family has been seeing Dr. Sandu for over 20 years. My youngest being 4 yrs. old when he first started seeing her. She is now 26. He knows my dental history and knows what I want to work on, I would not trust any dentist to work on my mouth. He will inform me of any of his concerns and make recommendations. The staff in the office is great. Lorraine his front office receptionist has patiently worked with us and our insurance company. Arleen the radiologist patiently works with me when taking x-rays. They are all professional and polite and patient with us always making sure we understand what is being worked on. Doctor himself called me back at 8am and said I could come at 10.30am the same day. i got new dentures after 30 years. dr. sandhu is a wonderful and caring man, and really cares about his patients. i could not chew with my new dentures and told him they must not be aligned correctly. i had a good laugh, when he told me i have to get used to the new dentures compared to my old pattern of chewing ! he gave me a cookie to chew , and i had now problem chewing!he said i just told him all that,to get a cookie. we had a good laugh! anyway, i am very pleased with the way he wants you to be happy and satisfied. i love that guy, and all his staff!!!!!!!! read more

This dentist office has by far been the best place I have been to! Initially walked pass without even knowing it was where it was at, so I decide to go in (randomly) and ask them if they do what I have been looking for which is to get a partial.The receptionist Maria at the front was very nice and was able to make a appointment for me the next day to get a consultation with the dentist, the next day I arrive and the office is fairly small but comforting and I didn't have to wait long at all in the lobby the dentist Dr Sandhu had a assistant take my impressions and x-rays the same day after my consultation with him and he then explained to me what the procedure will be and how long it would take for me to get my piece. I came back about a week and a half later and he went above and beyond by trying something more precise than what I had asked, though that did not work out we went ahead with what I had initially ordered. Everything worked perfectly it fit perfectly and I am very happy with it, I thank him for working with me and not having any insurance, other places had quoted me crazy prices I was not willing to pay, he - Dr. Sandhu- is a very nice man and his office as well as his workers are very comforting highly recommend this dentist if you're looking for good people and professional services. read more

They ended up saving my teeth from decaying & being pulled out permanently, the best dentist by far!! The receptionist Lorayne is professional, honest, & sweet she handles the billing & financial aspect of each individual accordingly. I had a nervousness and phobia about dental treatment since childhood. I explained this to Dr. Sandhu on my very first visit. He insured me he understood and would make my visits less stressful. He kept his word. "How are you today?" "Are you ready?" "Do you feel Okay?" "Call me if you have any discomfort?" I have heard these same words from Dr. Sandhu for over twenty-five years at least three times annually. He cares about the total me by providing and explaining all dental care and future services that will keep me healthy. His office staff are also excellent. They are friendly, courteous, and competent. Their knowledge of dental insurance claims/pricing is amazing. I have never had a surprise $ payment charge. The staff there is so polite, professional, and genuinely cares about the health of your teeth. With all due respects, Dr. Sandhu is a very unprofessional dentist. There has been many instances where I have had to go in twice because my fillings for my cavities came off. I often come out of his office bleeding from my gums or lips because he carelessly rushes through the process. He is very impatient as well. I have seen him get frustrated with children who are crying so he simply dismisses them. "I do not deal with crying children" is what he says the parents as they anxiously try to calm their children down. In the past few years, Allied Dentistry has aligned with the orthodontic company, Invisalign. Although this sounds like a good initiative, Dr. Sandhu is not a well trained(if he is trained at all) orthodontist. I was supposed to be done with my orthodontist treatment in a year, it is has been 3 years and counting. I am supposed to have "adjustments" when I get new invisalign liners, yet he fails to do them consistently. As a result, my invisalign doesn't fit well and this ultimately delays the process. Don't get me wrong, the staff is great, the receptionists are very friendly. It is Dr. Sandhu himself that gives Allied Dentistry a bad reputation. From my own experience I have seen him take an advantage of the staff. He has asked the receptionists to do errands for him which are not in their job description. Overall, I highly do not recommend Dr. Sandhu's services. read more

If I could, I would give this place no stars at all. Before I went to the Allied Dentistry, I had never ever been to the dentist. I knew I had a couple of cavities because I experienced some pain after eating candy every once in a while, but otherwise my teeth were fine. First of all, the woman X-raying my teeth didn't seem to care that she kept making me gag when she shoved the huge device covered in plastic into my mouth. When I changed dentists, they were kind enough to rub some numbing stuff on the roof of my mouth to stop my gagging. But here, I almost threw up. Later, the dentist says I have no cavities. I was a little surprised and I asked him if he was positive, because I had tooth pain. He checked again and said, "Oh, actually you have 4 cavities." How does 0 cavities look like 4 cavities? He didn't even bother to point them out to me. But I figured he was right because of my tooth pain, so I said thanks and left At my next appointment, I'm in the chair. The dentist (Dr. Sandhu, i think?) starts talking to me about school or something and, without warning, jams my gums with a needle full of Novocaine while I'm distracted. When he was finished, he claimed that it was better to just do it without warning so we don't feel the pain. I still felt the pain, and I was pissed that I couldn't at least brace myself for the expected. After that, he does my fillings and sends me on my way. Days later, every time I eat/drink something cold I have intense sensitivity in the area of my fillings (really bad for somebody who loves ice cream in the middle of spring). I tell my dad about it, who has also seen the dentist. He tells me the same thing happened to him, and that the dentist tells him he filled his teeth with some new type of filling, and my dad ended up having the dentist take out the filling and replace it with the stuff that doesn't make your teeth hurt (and it was NOT cheap). Eventually, my sensitivity goes away after a few months which leads me to wonder, did my dad even have to get the fillings replaced? and why didn't the dentist tell either of us that we may experience some discomfort at first? By my third appointment, I had been trying to floss and brush my teeth more often, which is something I'm not totally used to. My gums became slightly swollen here and there. I was told that my gums were swollen because my crooked teeth are letting germs and gunk get stuck in my gums, causing the inflammation, so I need braces to correct my teeth. Which is great, except my teeth aren't crooked. In fact, they're pretty straight. And I may not be a dentist, but aren't braces usually the cause of swollen gums? The appointment was finished off with a cleaning (which made my gums even more swollen AND bloody), and the dentist telling me I had 4 more cavities. After they told me I would need braces I decided it was time to switch dentists. The people at my new dentistry are kind, understanding, and laughed at the thought of giving someone braces for swollen gums. My gums are still swollen and still bleed when I brush my teeth ever since I visited Allied Dentistry. Hopefully, with time and dentist appointments, I can right what they have wronged. read more

I've been going to Allied Dentistry for over 10 years. I first chose Dr. Sandhu because his office staff was so friendly and helpful on the phone when I first called. Dr. Sandhu is a fine, competent dentist and even taught dentistry at the UOP Dental School. He has done root canals, permanent bridges and partial bridges for me, and I have never experienced any pain at all. He is so careful to make sure I'm always comfortable with what he's doing. He's always patient about explaining things and answering my questions (which I sometimes have a lot of!). He has often gone above and beyond what is expected, even sending crowns or bridges back to the lab to do again at his own expense when he thinks they could be improved on. Dr. Sandhu is also one of the most ethical people I have ever met. He guarantees his work and is always more than fair. I trust him absolutely and wouldn't go to any other dentist. Absolutely wonderful! Me and my mom have been looking for a good dentist that's reliable, dedicated and works around a working person's schedule! Love Dr. Sandu and all of the staff! They're super friendly and take the time to explain every detail of what's going on. Like many other people I am extremely terrified of the dentist from having terrible past experiences where the dentists have hurt me or disregarded my pain. Dr. Sandu makes you feel at ease and calm, is gentle and trusting. The other dentist there is very soft spoken and kind, I can't remember her name, but she's amazing too! There's been a couple of times I've been late but the staff is amazing and doesn't give me a hard time, always answer when I call or have questions, and they call me to remind me when I have appointments. I previously wrote about my journey in the beginning of last Nov. 2016. Since then, it's been great. I not only bring myself, but my children ages 12, 9, and 8 come here. Dr. Sandu and Dr. Lynn have been amazing. Always gentle, caring, and explain things thoroughly. They take their time and pride in their work. (thats important to me.) I've continued my treatment with invisalign it feels great knowing my gums are becoming healthly, and my oral hygiene is improving. Theres no judgment here only solutions. read more

Where should I begin about 3 years ago I went to Dr Sandu so he can fix my two broken teeth.He said I needed to have two root canals and two crowns but if I didn't do the procedure he would have to pull those teeth out. I couldn't complain and he did the dental work very well in a timely manner. My only complaint is towards his female workers especially one named Maria who works behind the counter in charge of dealing with the paperwork and insurance claims. I set up automatic payment plan so that Maria could charge my debit card for $80 a month but after 4 payments she stopped charging my debit card. A few months go by and Maria is calling me about the payment. I explained to Maria that I give her full authorization to charge my card on a monthly basis but she gave me a lame excuse about how she got behind with the paper work. I became so furious that I demanded her to put Dr Sandu on the phone. When I finally got Dr Sandu on the phone he said that it was unacceptable for Maria to mishandle my payment plan and she will resume the automatic payment. So my debit card is charged again for 2 more payments of $80 then she stopped charging my card again. After a few months I find out that the balance I owe was sent to a collections agency. My second complaint is towards another female worker of Dr Sandu that dental assistant that handles the X rays she is very rough and rude. Overall Dr Sandu is a very good dentist who does great dental work but I refuse to go back to his office because his female workers are unprofessional and mess up important paperwork. read more
