I was looking for Scott's seed and to my amazement I was informed that they have seed formulated for our area. Wait ... what? 1st: I've never heard of such. 2nd: Where have you been all of my life (well atleast my adult homeowner life)? I explained to the young lady what my issue was in my yard and purchased the seed she recommended and a bale of hay. The young lady was extremely nice and explained the different variations to me as well prior to purchase. Value: well $3.99/lb was a bit pricey when I can get a 10 pound bag of Scott's for $11.99 at Ace Hardware. I am keeping in mind several things: This is a Mom & Pop shop (support of locally owned businesses), the seeds by Scott's are mass produced (made for any and all areas) and lastly this seed is "supposed" to produced for Indiana (that's got to be good, right). So with all of that being stated of course I'm taking the plunge and if it works I'll definitely be back. I'm really excited about it and hoping to see those bare spots in my yard fill in. Fingers crossed.

It was slow and kind of difficult but we got through it.

If it is then maybe you should not be in the front area checking people out at the register. It's sad to see how good customer service has declined in most stores. The selection of items is decent but I'll go to a different location next time where the staff is much friendlier and more welcoming.

If you're not signed up for the Lowe's Rewards program, you're missing out on some pretty cool…read moreperks! I love that I live near this Lowe's because it makes it super convenient to stop in, especially when they offer their member freebies. They usually give them out on Saturdays around 10 AM, but this location often has them set up early, so I like to get here pretty early. The earlier you arrive, the better, because some of the more popular freebies can bring in LONG lines! Today, I received a FREE football ice mold, which is actually super cool and useful! About a month ago, I also got a really cute cooler cup. That one was extremely popular, and the line was much longer, so I definitely recommend coming early if there's something you really want. Sometimes they even offer a coupon along with the freebie that you can use the same day, which makes the deal even better! The customer service here is really good. While walking around the store, several employees asked if I needed help, which showed me they're willing to assist. If you need something, just ask! There are also restrooms conveniently located near the checkout area. We come to Lowe's for all kinds of home projects, plants, and other household items, and they have a pretty large selection. The parking lot is also spacious, and I've never had trouble finding a spot here. Signing up for the Rewards program is easy and FREE. You earn points on purchases that can turn into coupons etc., but honestly, one of my favorite perks is the freebies because they come out with some really cool stuff! I also feel like Lowe's has fair pricing compared with similar home improvement stores. And if you have kids, check out their free kids' programs! When my kids were younger, I used to take them to these, and they loved them. If you're already shopping at Lowe's, you might as well take advantage of the rewards and freebies. You never know what they'll have next!

So it was exciting to see one of our local spots, Frontdoor Home Design, expand its operations at the same time. Frontdoor offers tons of furniture, lighting, and home goods -- a remarkable selection packed cozily into a tiny space, which uses its square footage effectively without feeling too cramped to get around.
