Keegan did such a great job! He was kind and courteous and he did the job really well. We will be calling him if we have any garage door trouble but that's doubtful because he made sure everything was lubricated and set properly. I would highly recommend him to everyone!!! read more

The is my second experience working with Howard from Alliance Overhead Doors. Today, was just some adjustments after the electricity went out during the recent Kona Low storms. The first time was replacing the springs. Both times, Howard was very cordial, professional and knowledgeable. Quick service with reasonable pricing. Highly recommended. Our garage door torsion spring decided to give up on us, and we needed it fixed ASAP. I sent out a few Yelp requests, and Howard from Alliance Overhead Doors was the first to respond -- super quick and professional! He worked with our schedule, gave us a time window, and even texted a 30-minute heads-up before arriving (love that kind of communication!). Howard showed up right on time, explained everything he was doing, and even gave us some great tips on garage door maintenance. You can tell he knows his stuff. The whole repair took maybe 15 minutes -- quick and efficient. Sure, you could try to do it yourself... but honestly, why spend hours struggling when you can just call Howard and be done? Highly recommend Alliance Overhead Doors if you want fast, friendly, and reliable service. Thanks again, Howard! read more

Alliance was super responsive and scheduled to come out the following day. Keegan came and I explained what was happening and he immediately noticed the spring had broke. Will definitely be using them for all our garage needs again! Thank you so much for the quick response and the amazing service! read more

Keegan was above and beyond. Installed our springs. The door came out balanced and functioning properly. Keegan also recommended a strut and was able to install this all for us. My husband and I are super satisfied with the job that was done. Alliance was able to come by the next day after the spring broke. Super efficient and quick. The pricing was okay but they honor military. read more

Howard has been helping me for years.. He is VERY knowledgeable, reasonable and EASY to reach. This is a first class operation. He has replaced almost eveything on my garage door at some point. Today he sent his worker Keegan out. Keegan was fantastic. He not only fixed what was necessary but did a kind of a mini service call on the rest of the door. Then he handed me the reasonable bill. THEN, he noticed something else on the sensors that could use some TLC. He then did that too, without changing the bill ! There was no need to give this kind of EXCELLENT service. STOP BEING A SLAVE TO YOUR HOME'S GATE. There's nothing pleasant about coming home after a very busy day to find your 6 foot iron gate won't open. Jumping over the wall at 78 wasn't fun either! Howard from Alliance Overhead Doors came to fix our gate's controls. While here, we asked if there was a way to open the gate through Wi-Fi as we'd always have to be home to receive packages. He was already looking around for something like that for his customers, said he'd call back. No more than a few days later he said he thinks he had a solution. About a week later he installed Remootio, downloaded the app to our iPhones/Androids and taught us how to use and share the app with family members. It's amazing, we can open the gate using Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or Internet. Using Remootio we've opened our gate from the nearby shopping center for deliveries! Call Alliance Overhead Doors, ask for Howard. They've made life waaayyy easier! On time, diligent, quotes, texts, customer sensitive, exceeds customer's needs and super pleasant. read more

I already used Alliance for install of my new springs. But later wanted a new motor with backup battery and still belt driven. Howard recommended Linear or another brand that i could buy from a hardware store. I did my research on both brands and went with Linear. Better reviews. I dont want headaches. Plus, its under warranty with Alliance too. So i made an installation date. Howard arrived on time. And did efficient easy work with the install. Cannot beat professional installation. Nice guy. Will always use Alliance for my garage door needs. Support local!! read more

After our teenage driver collided with the garage door, we needed quick help. Howard was responsive (over the weekend) and came by at the earliest availability. We ultimately chose to replace the entire door, but Howard noted he would be able to use the existing track to help keep costs minimal! He also made a few adjustments so the current door would close completely until the new door arrived on island and could be installed. Howard also observed the chain - which helps to raise and lower the door - was about to fail. We replaced it and very likely avoided another emergency call. I appreciate the attention to details, the expert knowledge, and the excellent customer communication and service. Highly recommend this company if you are ever in the need for garage door solutions. read more

Called them to ask for pricing on a new strut and some other hardware. Howard asked what I was planning on doing and asked if I could send him a picture of my bowing garage door. He provided me two options. He'll install the new strut and do basic maintenance or I can order the parts and try to fix the door myself. I was about to order more expensive parts elsewhere, but Howard was responsive, and helpful. I decided to go with the experts. he fixed my door rather inexpensively and it looks/ sounds better than it did before. Great service. Highly recommend! read more

Super knowledgeable owner operator Howard is the best garage door guy around. I had my springs replaced by someone on Angie list and they totally messed it up. Howard to the rescue. He diagnosed and repaired my door in 30 minutes for much less than the other guys and replaced my cables also. He is the best. Anytime I need work on my door I will call Howard and I recommend a creative does the same. read more

**Alliance Overhead Doors: Exceptional Service Once Again** Nothing beats good service, and Alliance Overhead Doors has done it again. I recently called them for repairs because our garage door opener would lift and grind halfway up. Howard answered my call and asked about the issue. After explaining it as best I could, he suggested a few possible problems, such as the spring or a stripped part. We scheduled an appointment, and he mentioned that either he or Jesse would come to look at it. Jesse arrived and was incredibly pleasant and down-to-earth. He explained everything he was doing in detail and even performed some maintenance on my heavy wooden garage door. Like a magician, he fixed the problem efficiently. Additionally, Jesse provided a reasonable quote for replacing my old Genie screw-type garage opener with a chain-type opener. I am considering it as well after this Genie breaks again. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with their service and even tipped Jesse for his excellent work. I highly recommend Alliance Overhead Doors for their outstanding service and professionalism. - Aloha and thanks again to Howard and Jess July 1, 2024 read more

I found Alliance Overhead Doors from Yelp and couldn't be any happier with their service. I had placed a request for an estimate through Yelp at 9pm last night after not being able to open my garage. Love the system as I simply attached a picture of what I thought the was the problem, went to sleep and woke up this morning with a message with an estimate from Alliance. I called a little after 8:30AM and spoke with Howard. Keep in mind this was a Saturday when most businesses are closed. He answered immediately and told me it was definitely the spring but also could be a gear from what I explained. By 9:00AM, Howard was at my house working on it, and an hour later he was finished. He completed the needed repairs and serviced and checked out everything to make sure it was in fine working order. Howard by far exceeded my expectations as he was timely, super knowledgeable and efficient. Thanks so much Alliance Overhead Doors and Yelp! 5+ Stars all the way!!! read more

"Out of sight, out of mind- until it breaks" This phrase can apply to so many things. Take the garage door for instance. You take it for granted and never give it a second thought, until it stops working. Our garage door worked faithfully for over 10 years until on a Saturday afternoon (and it always happens when businesses are usually closed) it stopped working. Closer inspection disclosed a broken spring- major component and something I won't touch. Contacted Alliance the next week and they picked up pretty fast. As many others have said, Howard answered the call and was courteous and to the point. And luckily he was in the general area on another job, so he stopped by after finishing up. Howard was able to replace our springs, did a check of the door and the mechanism, did some lubrication and even aligned it slightly so the door wouldn't scrape the framing- a minor touch but we appreciated his thoroughness. Having repair done by Howard was great as he talked about what he was doing and the different sizes of springs they are used depending on the doors. The things he noticed, the things he recommended. Great job by Howard from Alliance. I would not hesitate to use them again. read more

Service date: 17 October 2022 Victor responded almost immediately to my message request for a quote/service and was able to fit me into his schedule in a timely manner after I tried relentlessly to get service from another business that I had used previously. I thought I needed a strut to reinforce my garage overhead door but he informed me that the door just needed to be lifted since it was essentially overclosing (likely an error from the previous job). On the day of my scheduled service, I received a call informing me that he was 15 minutes out. Since I was not home, my mother met him, and he worked with her to get the service done. The only concern my mother had was him taking down her credit card information since he did not have a card reader. I sugget having cash available if you are uneasy about this process. Overall, I recommend Victor and Alliance Overhead for your garage door services. read more

Victor and Howard were awesome! Asked for a quote via Yelp on Friday. Victor got back to us right away with pricing and an option to replace a rubber belt with a chain. Messaged Saturday morning to ask for an appointment, got a call back quickly and very lucky to get an appointment for Monday morning. Howard showed up on the early end of the appointment window (yay!) checked in for any details he needed to know and got to work. In under 20 minutes, we had a new chain, had newly lubricated everything and some advice on what to expect in terms of upcoming work needed on our garage door. All for a reasonable price and without the frustration of trying to DIY and screwing it up. Great deal all around! read more

1 of my garage door tracks ripped out of wall- called a couple places and Alliance said they could come out the next day. (Other one said next week) Jesse arrived on time and was very friendly and courteous. He took out his tools & ladder, then got to work. Alliance was my third call, the others were helpful but didn't have parts in stock. One competitor kindly recommended Alliance. Called to request a service appointment. Howard answered on the 3rd ring. He asked me to check a few things, then explained (over the phone) how to fix the door myself. It's been years since we had our springs replaced. Now after 21 years, our garage door opener was not working properly. Called Alliance and Jesse came out when promised. Call them out to fix my garage door. The guy was super honest and told me that my door needed complete replacement, but they didn't do that kind of work. They do a lot of repairs for doors that can be saved--unlike my own lol. He was super fair, so I'd say they have great value. read more
