I've supported Cravings for a long time, but after my recent experiences, I feel incredibly…read moredisappointed and disrespected as a customer. I tried one of the new $14 salads--no protein, just lettuce, a few veggies, and a so-called "homemade" Italian dressing. I genuinely enjoyed the dressing and asked for the recipe three times out of curiosity. On the third time, I was told she wouldn't share it--but would be willing to sell it to me. That response rubbed me the wrong way. In today's economy, that kind of cold and transactional reply from a small business I've supported feels off-putting and greedy. On top of that, I tried a "tiramisu cookie" that had no coffee flavor, no mascarpone, nothing that even remotely resembled tiramisu. It tasted like a plain sugar cookie, and honestly, it felt like false advertising. If you're going to market something as tiramisu, it should at least reflect the flavors of what you're promising. Between that and the secretive dressing situation, I can't help but question whether the dressing is even homemade--or if it's just bottled and marked up. These experiences have made me lose trust in the brand and what it claims to represent. I won't be returning.

I would highly recommend seeking this place out if you have any reason at all to be in the area.

Update for 2011: Choo Choo's Ice Cream seems to be closed/out of business yet again?…read more I was in the neighborhood, next door, with my girlfriend and her family on a visit to The Railyard for a family gathering. The view inside of Choo Choo's gives the impression that it's possible all nearby civilization has up and left due to some unforeseen apocalypse, the same as every other building in this dilapidated city. All the equipment is still there, all the signage, and the "Closed" sign flipped out is as vague as it comes. Are they closed-up for sure--permanently, or just for this year? Who could know. Everything around here looks pretty much that way, even when it's just closed for the day. Last year, the 2010 season, there were roadside signs staked into the ground to make the grand announcement ahead of time that they were to be open by a certain summer month (what it was escapes me but I'm quite sure it was prior to the season being half-over... but then again, around here that's not for certain either--our local business don't always make the best decisions for reality in the real world). The Summer 2009 season they were surprisingly open which is why I wrote the first review, and prior to that, I can't count how many years they'd be mysteriously "closed" with no sign of permanency or other. Ice cream-related businesses in this region, unless they are a chain, are extremely seasonal; businesses in Fulton County on the other hand are always in a perpetual ambiguity.
