Our primary doctor referred us here and we have had a great experience everytime. I highly recommend Dr. Michelle Huffaker. I made an appointment to see Dr. Sally Joo Bailey in the San Ramon office. I waited no more than ten minutes in the waiting room before being taken to an exam room. The young woman at the front office that I contacted upon arriving was kind and friendly. The young lady who took me to the exam room was also very nice. Dr. Bailey arrived at my exam room after only a few minutes of waiting. She was friendly, engaging and informative. Everything you would want in a physician! She wanted me tested for any allergies, so a nurse conducted these skin prick tests on me a few minutes later. She, like everyone else that I had met in this office, was friendly and informative. She described what she was going to do and continued to ask me if I was continuing to feel comfortable and whether I was experiencing any problems as she was conducting the test. All of the tests showed negative. Dr. Bailey returned to my exam room, explained the test results to me, asked me if I had any questions and recommended that I see an ear, nose and throat doctor for further follow-up. I highly recommend Dr. Bailey and Asthma and Allergy Medical Group. I was very satisfied with my experience here at this office.

The folks there really know their stuff and it didn't feel like "the other" allergy clinics I've come in contact with before. You can tell they really care and it shows. As a concerned father, I typically ask a lot of questions, and Tina (who I kept asking questions to) didn't make me feel weird about it, she answered everything and provided extreme clarity to what was being done. I tried to have an initial appointment with Dr. Lien today…read more When I had made my appointment, the receptionist I spoke to over the phone did not properly answer my basic questions regarding copay (I gave them my insurance), nor did they tell me which suite I needed to go to for Dr. Lien's office. His name is not specifically listed in the building, so I was worried that I had gone to the wrong office. When I arrived, the entire office smelled strongly of perfume, despite being an office which specifically helps people with allergies. I had questions about my copay for my initial appointment, and about how many more appointments I would need to make in order to complete a patch test and what those copays would be, so that I could plan my appointments in accordance with my financial ability, but the receptionist refused to answer about follow up appointments. She kept saying that the patch test takes three days, but wouldn't say if that was an additional charge. I am autistic, and I know that I did not phrase my initial questions clearly at all because I was so stressed about the perfume, so I asked to start over and apologized for my tone and also for not getting eye contact right. I also stopped making eye contact because I was worried about using the wrong facial expression. The receptionist still would not give me the information I was asking for, and said that I already knew that information since I had chosen my health insurance. I did not choose my health insurance, so I don't know why she said that, and health insurance companies can be very difficult to get that sort of information from directly, and every other doctor's office I visit has always given me that information, often without me even needing to ask. The receptionist started calling me irresponsible, which bothered me, because I was asking about the cost of patch test appointments because that felt like a responsible question. At this point, she also repeatedly told me that I had "planned this," that I "knew what the cost was already," and that I was "trembling," which was also proof of what I had planned...but she wouldn't tell me what she thought I had planned. I didn't realize until then, but I do think that I was shaking slightly at this point, as she was speaking to me like I was a naughty child, and I felt completely humiliated, and also wasn't sure if maybe the entire thing was my fault. I thought it was okay to ask that information, and it's so hard trying to get that same info from the insurance company itself, but after this attempt at an appointment, I felt stupid and useless. I ended up deciding to leave and didn't even have my appointment, because I feel like if the receptionists are angry at you, then you probably won't be able to access healthcare, because you have to access healthcare through them. I was very confused, and I told her this before I left, but she was so angry, and she kept interrupting everything I tried to say to diffuse the situation. I still don't know what she was trying to accuse me of. She said that I didn't want to pay my copay, but that doesn't make any sense, because everyone knows that you can't see your doctor until you sign in and pay the copay and fill out papers. This was an important appointment, because I believe I have a kind of serious latex allergy, but I was able to call my primary care doctor's office and get a referral to a different allergist. I do not think that Dr. Lien's office is a safe or comfortable place for neurodivergent people. If you are autistic, please seek a different office.

I met with Dr. Jacobs on December 12 to go over the changes so we could get the ball rolling and not have a delay in my immune treatment which I require every 3 weeks to stay healthy due to a serious immune disorder. He assured me that it would be handled well. Then almost month later I call back and find out nothing has been done. The office didn't have a new script from the Dr. The contract worker they had hired to deal with insurance benefits at the office still didn't know I had a new pharmacy benefits provider. She was trying to order the old medication from the old benefits provider. So I spent the next two weeks on the phone for entire days - leaving messages, waiting on hold, coordinating between nursing staff (bc the dr was now on vacation), the independent contractor who didn't understand my insurance change, my pharmacy benefits provider and the pharmacy filing the order. Babysitting grown adults who are getting paid to apparently not do their jobs. The office at first admitted to dropping the ball, then they each slowly started to blame other people in the office and I realized what a toxic dysfunctional mess the whole operation was. Perhaps they once were good - the vast majority of these five star reviews are many years old. Today, I think they can handle routine allergy shots. That's their bread and butter. Anything more is a deep stretch for their abilities. In the end I finally got my medication two weeks late and it would have been even later if I hadn't borrowed a medical pump to use from a complete stranger. This was an incredibly stressful process that would have been avoided if people at this office understood how to do their jobs.

I was experiencing neck pains for the last few days that was getting progressively worse. I found Dr. Litman through the UnitedHealthcare directory and made an appt. Based on my urgency of seeing someone sooner than later, my appt was scheduled the next morning. The staff is quite friendly, courteous, and, professional, so this review is ONLY based on my 1:1 with Dr. Litman. An hour had passed till I finally got to see Dr. Litman. Dr. Litman looks like Smiegel from Lord of the Rings. Not trying to be mean; BUT THAT'S WHAT HE LOOKS LIKE. I didn't realize how old he was - not to say there is anything wrong with that, but I was abit pessimisstic with his "modern" practices. Dr. Litman sat in his chair and asked me a number of questions; NOTHING related to my neck. He asked me about my family's health. He asked me about my health. He asked me why I like to use 2 digits in my birthdate rather than using one digit (ie.04/02 instead of 4/2) - WHO FRIGGEN CARES! It went on and on on until I finally said, " Dr, Littman, I don't mean to be rude, but what does any of this have to do with my neck? I'm pressed for time and need to go back to work. Are you even going to examine my neck?" He said he always asks these questions and will check my neck shortly. FINE. BUT I AM IN A LOT OF PAIN and my neck has been hurting for 5 days straight. So he proceeds to ask me if I was in a car accident? I said NO. Then he said, "when was the last time you were in a car accident?" HUH?? LIKE 3-4 years ago??? He writes everything down and finally recommends that I get an xray done. Then he says he thinks I might have degenerative joint disease and explains that it's similar to getting a whiplash....from a car accident. OK, everyone can have this disease - my question is how did I get it? If I even have it?? Certainly NOT FROM A CAR ACCIDENT that i haven't been in one for YEARS! Look, he graduated from Yale, I'm sure he's a smart man but his practice is OLD SKOOL and rather just talk and sit there, I was hoping to be examined and help alleviate the pain. He said to come back next week - I can't bare to wait another week! Dr. Littman, I think it's time for you to retire. I left his office informing the nurse that I will not be coming back as I was dissatisfied with his service. She was pleasant about it. Thank you for not being offended. Will never come back to this office.

Dr Litman and his family have always been very kind to us. I know that some individuals have not been happy with his practice but I would like to note he had back surgery in 1997 and while he was out he had two other Doctors cover for him and he as well called patients. He then had a tragic mishap with his house burning down and the lost of his son. He came back and treated his patients with care. Just recently he lost his wife after a battle with cancer. I am glad to say the nurses of today have improved and that is great, as it has been a few years since he had as great a nursing staff as he did from 1997-2008.
