His level of attention, compassion, and professionalism is exceptional--every question is answered thoughtfully, and nothing ever feels rushed. What really stands out is the genuine care he shows. He takes the time to explain everything clearly and make sure I feel comfortable and confident about the treatment plan. It's rare to find a doctor who combines such expertise with such kindness. I'm incredibly grateful to be under his care and feel lucky to have found him. If you're looking for a physician who goes above and beyond, I highly recommend Dr. Lasyone. Maria D.

My appointment with Dr. LaSyone was utterly terrible. I have struggled with an autoimmune disease…read moresince 2016, where I was diagnosed by the team at UCSF by blood tests and biopsies. UCSF is just too far, so I was looking for some local doctors near me. When I first finally met the doctor after a long wait, some of the first words out of his mouth were doubting if I even had this disease and if I was being "dramatic". I explained that I did and I needed a regular Rheum to manage my medication and symptoms, he kept doubting if I even needed the medication I take. How exhausting is it to have your disease consistently doubted by doctors- especially when every time I have tried to lower my dose with other practioners I end up in the ER. The only redeeming qualities aboutt his office was the woman who weighed me and took my vitals, she was sweet. I chose him becuase of his story about how his mom struggled with autoimmune disease- thinking he had any empathy towards patients. Well, do not fall for it, he is the most ignorant and inconsiderate doctor I have ever encountered. He does not care about your health, he just wants to make you feel small. I would never come back, and if you are looking for a doctor who is just at the bare minimum, then I would say never come here. He is truly an awful man.

Dr. Mielke, both a conventional and functional physician, has been taking care of me for a decade…read moreand a half, ever since I was diagnosed with a lobular CA tumor so large that a single mastectomy was unavoidable. She expertly put me on a regimen of non-toxic compounds that she adjusts every quarter based upon her indefatigable updating of the advanced science on which she relies. She is both caring and direct. I credit her with much understanding and support and, essentially, keeping me alive while I avoided toxic recommendations from my more traditional team. The complexity of Dr. Mielke's patients means that while she has a killer memory and excellent medical training plus nearly a quarter century of running her clinic, she simply cannot know everything that will ultimately be the key to a particular individual recovery. For those dealing with autism, Lyme and similar tick borne illnesses, for supplemental information that may be really helpful to try, give the recordings from the Autism Health Summit 2025 a hearing (info@autismhealth.com). This will cost you $100 and access to a wonderful, intelligent support group to inspire your journey.

This review is long overdue…read more I was seen by Dr.Mielke from April 2020-July 2020 and then again from November 2020-April 2021. In total, I had approximately 9 visits either in-person or through a voice call. To her credit, Dr. Mielke did try her best to treat my ongoing mysterious symptoms; I have been unwell since late summer 2017. I do credit her for introducing me to a few things that were of help with chronic Lyme. She introduced me to the Relax Brand sauna, PlusCBD oil, and LDN. She also helped me understand that have a double mutated MAOA gene and cannot tolerate SSRIs.I thank her for these suggestions /prescriptions. However, by the last visit or two, I understood that she really did not know the root cause of my issue. She kept suggesting nutrition testing and practicing DNRS- neither of which helped to a large extent. In December 2020, she put me on a trial of herbs used to treat Lyme. In February or March, she put me on a full on herbal protocol. After 30 days, I did not feel markedly better. She pompously proclaimed, " Well then, it must not be Lyme. This protocol worked so well for so-and-so." I get the impression that she is not well-versed in treating Lyme. If she was, she would have ordered a CD57 test and used Vibrant Wellness labs to check a full spectrum of tick born illnesses. I'm sad that I spent this time and money not to feel any better. If you suspect you may have Lyme, be advised before selecting Dr.Mielke.

I came in because of ongoing headaches and neck pain after a car accident. I wanted no medication,…read morejust osteopathic manipulation. Dr. Okamura was able to treat me for the pain, I can now say I am headache free and my neck pain is much better. I did the exercises he told me to do, patient participation makes a big difference in wellness. I would definitely return for musculoskeletal issues. Pain medication can be a useful tool, but I felt I would be better served without medication and Dr. Okamura was able to address all my symptoms adequately. I was a private pay patient so I can't comment on insurance billing. The office staff is very nice and the office building itself is quite comfortable and easy to access.

I also just read the review by Eric F. and also felt compelled to respond…read more Dr. Okamura has been my family's doctor for over 15 years -- we are both in our 50's. My husband had been admitted to the hospital twice in the past for medical emergencies -- he received only the best care from Dr. O and the San Ramon Medical Center and recovered both times. During one of the medical emergencies, at night and on a weekend, I called Dr. O's office, and he personally took the call himself -- most Dr's would have an answering service taking the calls! Not only did he advise me on all the proper steps to take for the next 24 hours, but I felt reassured as always that my husband was in excellent hands and in the hands of a caring doctor. We had to sadly switch health plans a year ago, as employers have made it so difficult to have private care. I cannot wait for changes to our employers health plans so we can return to Dr. O as our primary care provider. As for greeting us , on a normal basis he often would greet us with "Oh, you made it!" meaning "You were able to keep the appointment, I'm glad to see you!" We feel blessed to have been under the care of such a top notch doctor and would highly recommend him to anyone.

I was being nice when I said I'd give 0 stars -- I'd actually give -5 stars if I could…read more They sold me a foot insert, claiming it wasn't covered by insurance, and charged me $70 upfront at the apor. Later, I received another bill for $130 instead. The bill was sent through Privia, and every time I call, they say they can't look into the details of the charges. On top of that, there's another $30 charge that I have no idea what it's for. My last visit was six months ago, and I've already paid all my previous bills. It's ridiculous that they keep adding new charges without explanation.

This review is for Steven Liu. If I could give a negative 5…read moreI would. Dr. Liu was rude, unprofessional and condescending. He was unprepared for my appointment and kept claiming that images Tri-Valley Orthopedic already has in their system were not there. I knew for a fact my relevant images were already in their system as well as a relevant report. However, Dr. Liu told me in a very condescending tone, "I know you WANT the images to be there (in their system) but talking more won't make them be there." So when it was clear Dr. Liu wasn't going to help me I ended up speaking with a very kind and helpful person at the front office on my way out who promptly located the images and report. All the office staff present were very helpful. But this was after Dr. Liu had already wasted time being argumentative about the matter. Dr. Liu was brushing me off due to his own incompetence and that of his medical assistant in bothering to locate what took just a moment for a front office person to find. Additionally, he was only going to look at one body part, with zero interest in even trying to track down whether my pain is referred or due to an issue at the site of pain itself. He never even came into the medical room where I was waiting to see him for my appointment. I ended up having to go into the hallway to try to speak with him and to try to help him and his medical assistant to locate those particular images/report. Dr. Liu had no concern for my well-being at all. He seemed in a hurry to simply move on to another patient with doing nothing at all to even try to help me. I waited months for this appointment. Unfortunately another Dr. in the practice who I'd seen previously who is very professional had told me that Dr. Liu would find a way to help me even if I wasn't able to do a cervical MRI, which I tried twice to do. Unfortunately that Dr. was mistaken and Dr. Liu wouldn't even look at my X-rays in liu of the MRI images he and his medical assistant were too incompetent to locate in their own system, despite being easy to find by a very helpful and kind person in the front office. His medical assistant appeared bored and as though she couldn't be bothered to do her job. She also clearly looked confused by the correct medical terminology I was using when trying to explain where I hurt. This whole ordeal was such a waste of my time and that of my friend who accompanied me. She was equally appalled and put off by Steven Liu's behavior and lack of professionalism. I can't express enough how much I wish I'd never bothered to pursue medical care from Dr. Liu. I'm still left in severe pain which I've been navigating for just over two years. If I could bill Dr. Liu for my wasted time and energy I would. Negative Five Stars.
