Understated and underrated! This place was such a pleasant surprise! Great view! Allentown Cheeseburger with Montana Ground Bison - I'm not a connoisseur of bison, but this one did not disappoint. Tender meat (not dry or rubbery!), tasty bun, fresh tomato and lettuce, crisp pickles, and nice melty cheddar. Asked for grilled onions (which they ended up forgetting) but added a little ketchup to sweeten it and it was golden! The house ketchup was smoky and delish. Not sure if they make it in house, but it was perfect with the sweet potato fries. Should also mention we loved the steak-style sweet potato fries (not sure it's worth a $2.99 upcharge - the onion rings are probably worth it since they're housemade). 4.5 stars. The Ranch Hand - we enjoyed the nice quality kobe beef with the same fixings as the Allentown but with bbq sauce and onion rings. The onion rings were a little thick and the bbq sauce layered on pretty thick but the flavor was still good. And we're pretty sure the bacon was actually ham so beware. Super great fries (but sadly the house ketchup was forgotten). 4 stars. We also tried the house chips and those were noteworthy. The view here really highlights the nature (TURTLES!) and beauty of the area. The prices are a little on the high side, but for the view and ambience (and convenience for those at Nine Pipes) it makes sense. Food options can be abysmal in this area, so this was fantastic. We'll definitely be back to try dinner sometime! read more

Food was decent but the price was high, we ordered drinks and they never came, cancelled the drinks, ordered wine and we got our food first then we were told they didn't have the wine we ordered, cancelled the wine too! The views are awesome! read more

We ate dinner on January 17, 2026. We have eaten here several times in the past and it has always been top notch. Good service and good food. However, on this occasion, the service and food were both very poor. I don't know if this a one off bad night or a trend of what is to come. We will try again, but if the experience is the same, it will be the last time. read more

Overpriced and not fresh food. I ordered the shrimp skewers and they tasted like frozen shrimp that was warmed up in the grill, no flavor. The mashed potatoes were cold. The asparagus was cooked perfectly but way over seasoned. The view was fantastic! Small with a cozy atmosphere and very friendly staff. read more

The food is just OK, but the views are very good. I ordered the blue cheeseburger. It was bland. The meat and toppings lacked flavor. It was not bad by any means it just needs a lot more flavor. The house made chips were good. They were thick and tasty. There are great views of the water and the countryside out the many windows. You can take in a lot of nature over lunch. read more

I really enjoyed this place. I had the ruben and fries. It was good. My husband had the prime rib and reluctantly shared a few bites. He wished he had gotten the 16oz. Because it was the best he has had at a restaurant. Perfect! I'll be coming back here for it the next time we're in town. read more

Really pretty restaurant inside the Nine Pipes Lodge. They have indoor and outdoor seating by a pretty pond and a fire pit. I ordered the chicken alfredo and it was soooo good. Big portions and the soup was amazing. I cant remember what it was but it sounded so weird but decided to try it and maaan i should have asked for more. Far cry from the former glory of the original Allentown. Bar food was good but if it's a meal your after stay away! We came back not once but twice because of the good memories we had at the original restaurant and it's amazing food only to be dashed by dissapointment. If you want fed skip this place and try the McDonald's down the road. You'll find a higher quality food, friendlier and more curtious staff for a fraction the cost. read more

Also, as a rather disappointing side note, management is far more worried about unflattering but accurate reviews than of the deplorable behavior of staff, and again, the cold food. Removing an unfavorable review will not fix that type of problem. read more

Time to update these reviews. I was shocked at the food and service here, both top-notch, since the old reviews are so negative. Great location, great views. A bit on the higher side than I like to pay, and a couple dollars more I would have walked. The chicken salad was a good compilation of hot, sautéed chicken on a bed of greens. read more

Had the salmon tonight and it was excellent. Dill sauce was delicious, veggies cooked perfect and NOT frozen mush. This place is really coming along nicely with the Morton family in charge. Quality of food has improved over all!!! read more

After eating at this restaurant twice per week for over 2 years my family and I will not be returning. Last night the chicken I received was raw. The waitress has always been outstanding and was very helpful with the raw chicken. This is a health risk and hopefully the owner of this establishment will inspect what they expect. Previously I had ordered the "rancher" and showed the waiter how raw the meat was. It was cold to the touch. My family and I who live in the vicinity of the restaurant will have to drive a little farther to Polson for our meals. read more

I've eaten here a dozen times in the last 2 years and found the food and atmosphere great. Staff were courteous and pleasant. The prime rib is always really good. Dining room is sometimes under staffed but wait times are never to long. Wine list is somewhat limited. Views of the Mission mountains and pond out the dining room windows are spectacular. read more

Ate here last night and ordered the prime rib. It was not good the meat was gray in color I ordered it rare and it was near well done. It was flavorless not sure how this place is still in business. I have been in there 1 time and had a descent meal and it was the appetizers. read more

I cannot say enough about this place! I called a few weeks in advance to plan a 90th birthday party for my Grandmother for the end of January. Not only was I impressed with the willingness to make my event special, they went above and way beyond my expectations. Brian was awesome to work with and he put together a menu just for our party as well as coordinated the chef making the most divine chocolate/chocolate cake just for her. When I arrived everything was set up nicely, they had made a birthday sign for my grandmother, and they had purchased her a small gift. The atmosphere was exactly what I was wanting and the staff was friendly and helpful. The food was good but what I was paying for was an incredible experience. I would highly recommend this place for any type of event you are having. I was blown away by the kindness and willingness to make this very special for our family! Thanks again, Allentown!
