Opting for the loft suite next to the main Jailhouse, we got settled in after re-reading the easy-to-follow instructions from our hosts. The loft features high ceilings and my wife compared it to staying in a treehouse. The room was immaculate and had several amenities, like a coffee pot and a microwave, so one could enjoy breakfast in-house if that was in your plans. There's also an adorable breakfast nook under a window looking out over the trees. Yellow Springs, Ohio is certainly my kind of quirky and lived up to expectations. From Jailhouse, it's a short walk, say five minutes, down to the heart of the town, and the famed Little Miami trail. This is a perfect location for those hoping to enjoy what the town has to offer. Affordable, convenient, and excellent service from the proprietors. Highly recommended.

The room was mostly clean and comfortable. We did have a swarm of flies that kept showing up in the room in the evenings, possibly from the heater or previous guest leaving windows open? Our room faced the street and as others have noted, it can be loud. But it didn't last all night. The staff was overall very friendly. I loved the self serve prepackaged ice!! Our issue was with housekeeping, we got late starts while visiting. The first day was totally our fault as we left the do not disturb sign on door. However, as we were leaving, we spoke with housekeeping as she was next door. She assured us they would get to the room. They did not since the sign was on even though we talked. Fortunately, we returned early enough to get them to still come up and do a quick once over (towels/bed). The next day, Saturday, housekeeping came twice while we were still getting dressed. The second time right as we were getting shoes on to leave. We told them we would be out the room in less than 10 minutes, the gentleman said sure and he would let the team know to return. They did not. When we returned to the unfreshened room, we called and were told housekeeping was no longer on the premises at 445 pm.Ultimately, we were able to get towels brought up and took care of the rest ourselves. If that is procedure, cool, just let patrons know this at CHECK-IN, so we can plan accordingly. Its a smaller place and we misjudged the timing of their rounds and had no idea they would have no one after a certain hour. We were able to try Ellie's, for brunch, it was good and service there was great. The French toast, eggs, bacon, and sausage were hits. The coffee bar, with a full bar was also nice for later in the day. Overall, we enjoyed the stay and will likely return. We recommend trying them out.

I received a text that the owners, Ryan and Alex, along with Larry were coming in to fix dinner for the guest because all the other restaurants were without power. I really appreciated that. The event was held in the main barn, and below the event space there is a beautiful suite for overnight stay. The suite features a full kitchen, spacious living and dining area, and a large bedroom with a huge bathroom with beautiful stone walls! The wedding was a wonderful success, and the venue is the reason why. The staff is incredible and professional. Photo opportunities on the property are almost endless, and span a variety of styles. The unit had: - a nice, cozy living room with a big sectional and a big TV - a full kitchen (with dishwasher, sink, stove, microwave, utensils, dishware, pots and pans, counter... etc.) - a spacious hallway - bedrooms with super comfy beds and pillows, and fresh, clean linens + study desks - each bedroom had its own designated bathrooms - the unit had a washer and dryer - outside, there was plenty of space for parking - there's also a secured front door, and an option to secure each bedroom - it smelled good, and whoever their house cleaning service company was, shoutout to them because they were excellent! I could go on and on with the specifics. I really liked their business plan. I came here to attend a program at AFIT, and I had roommates, which I really liked, in part because they were nice, and in part, because I am super down to expanding my social network. If you are too, then this place is something that you might truly like! Unfortunately, I had to move elsewhere because my boyfriend came to town to visit me and so I asked my roommates if they were cool with him staying with me for a couple of days. But one of my roommates wasn't comfortable having a male in the unit. So, with respect to my housemate's preference, I adjusted and just moved to Country Inns, which was just around the corner. Issues like this happen, and that's separate from the establishment. So overall, I enjoyed my stay at Liberty Lodging, even though it was a short time, it was absolutely a time well-spent. :) It goes without saying that I highly recommend liberty lodging!

Queen bed, lots of chairs, even a TV with a DVD player. In the hall is the Smith Library, full of books, games, dvds, and music. The house itself is lovely, lots of common rooms downstairs. The grounds are just as nice. We had a wonderful visit and can't wait to come back. It's minutes from Wittenberg University, so I'm sure we'll be back a lot in the next four years.
