Opting for the loft suite next to the main Jailhouse, we got settled in after re-reading the easy-to-follow instructions from our hosts. The loft features high ceilings and my wife compared it to staying in a treehouse. The room was immaculate and had several amenities, like a coffee pot and a microwave, so one could enjoy breakfast in-house if that was in your plans. There's also an adorable breakfast nook under a window looking out over the trees. Yellow Springs, Ohio is certainly my kind of quirky and lived up to expectations. From Jailhouse, it's a short walk, say five minutes, down to the heart of the town, and the famed Little Miami trail. This is a perfect location for those hoping to enjoy what the town has to offer. Affordable, convenient, and excellent service from the proprietors. Highly recommended.

There were daily scrambled eggs and some type of sausage patties/breakfast meat, English muffins, bagels. A couple of mornings, biscuits and gravy were available. Daily offerings included cereal and yogurts, along with oatmeal and almost a dozen toppings. There was also fruit, juice, several coffees, and teas. Less that 100 yards away are several places for lunch/dinner. From approximately 5 to 10 PM there was a full bar (wine too) with many drink specials, and happy hour was 5-7PM. And the bartender, Melanie, was glad to make a recommendation or a favorite libation too.

We did not touch it before going to bed, so this was left from a prior guest without being checked by us or housekeeping. Manager asked about our stay at breakfast, so I confessed the issue and she was apologetic but was soon interrupted due to a coffee bar spill as another guest tried to put a lid on a cup but the cups and lids were mismatched sizes and the ledge by the sugar/creamers is narrow/awkward to hold a cup. I appreciated the new, filtered water, bottle refill station.
