Always clean and rooms are comfortable. Plus, close to many restaurants and shopping venues if you need something. One thing that I REALLY like is the in-room keurig style coffee maker machine. I'm able to custom make my own coffee when I first get up with my own Favorite kcups. This is one reason I keep booking Holiday Inn Express hotels.

Speaking of the lounge, during cocktail hour they serve a decent selection of drinks and also have a decent spread of appetizers/bites. In the mornings, the lounge had tour standard breakfast selections of cereals, breads/pastries, eggs, sausage or bacon. It gets the job done. The main bar/restaurant has tasty food and drink options as well. As for the rooms, Ive stayed at the balcony rooms facing the courtyard and the other side facing the parking lot and both views are great. The rooms are very clean and are roomy enough with great wifi and a work desk so I can get my work done in the room if I need to. The location is nice being next to Carillon Historic Park and the University of Dayton; along the waterfront which is ideal to take a morning/evening stroll or run. Also, less than a 10 min drive to Downtown/Oregon District too.

The gym is well equipped with a variety of machines and some freeweights. The parking lot is huge, and surprisingly complimentary. Considering the hotel isn't really near anything, you'll likely have a car while you're staying here. The rooms have incredibly comfortable beds and furniture, but the AC units are...well, they're not quiet, but they're not necessarily noisy either. Otherwise the rooms were incredibly quiet. I was surprised that my room had a balcony I could step out on as well. Overall, I'd definitely stay here again.

The bar isn't supposed to close until 10pm. However, on Thursday night I stopped at the bar around 9pm and the bartender advised she had already made last call and they would be closing soon. She did allow me and a couple other guys to have drinks at the bar and I was probably there until 10pm. One couple came in from shopping and asked for drinks and food before 10pm and the bartender told them the kitchen was closed and they could get a drink to take back to their room, but no food. I thought that was poor customer service. You advertise that the bar closes at 10pm, but it really isn't 10pm. It's whatever time the staff decides to close.

It's wide open ...it's fresh. It's nice. It has games tvs has a full on lobby with like food and drinks and like free water and ice and tea is just so nice and I'm stopping here to charge my phone. I don't even have to have a room here. This is so Amazing and I think they have free continental breakfast that's so cool.

We were already charge because they could t find us and booked another reservation. In checking out with the front desk, we wanted to make sure the no-show charge would be cancelled or reversed, the idiot at the desk accused us of booking through a third-party site and told us to call them. They didn't ask, just assumed. Again showed the app and the first reservation and proved we booked direct. She went and got the GM to reverse it. Frickin idiot! The breakfast is crap. Powder eggs, smoked sausage as a breakfast meat, empty fruit bowl, sweetened yogurt. Good sides are that the beds were clean (not the floors or the shower) the water pressure is great. At least the ice makers on the other floors weren't out of order. Don't trust GPS to get here. You have to look for it. New construction area. Seems like a good area but a lot of people were hanging out in busted junk cars parked behind the building so I wonder if someone allows people to car camp back there. Just be careful is traveling alone.

After flying into Cincinnati, we rented a car and made our way to the hotel. Like most hotels of its kind, parking was easy. Home2 Suites is basically like a studio apartment. You have a full kitchen with a full-size fridge, a stove, and really everything you need. It's not fancy or anything but it's clean and comfortable. Part of what stood out was the lady who checked us in. She was super friendly, accommodating, and had a great sense of humor. She made sure we had everything we needed to make our trip enjoyable and went out of her way to do so. You don't often see that level of dedication. Unfortunately, I can't remember her name but she was a young, Asian lady. Give that woman a raise!

What makes this hotel convenient is how close it is to the highway and food options. There are a lot of restaurants on the same street as the hotel; fast and easy to get to. Kudos to Home2 for still offering free, continental breakfast. The only thing I did not like was that we stayed there for 3 days and the room was not serviced once. In a post Covid world, I don't like how hotels don't service your room every day but hotel pricing is the same, if not more. I called one day to ask for our room to be serviced but you have to give a 24 hour notice. If that is the case, they should tell that to guests upon checkin.
