A comfortable and clean hotel located in downtown Dayton Ohio. The rooms are spacious. The hotel itself is located across the street from the Dayair baseball park. Because the hotel is located downtown do not expect it to be completely quiet. There is a parking garage across the street. You will need to download an app in order to use the parking garage

AC's are nice. Not great, but nice. This is new to the Dayton area, and I'm told quite expensive. Lucky for me I booked with points and upgraded to a suite. Not much of a suite...it did have a seating area and a great view of the ballpark. But no game, so that wasn't a big thrill. I'm glad I didn't pay $300 a night, cause that would have been a bummer. There is valet parking for $18. I should have self parked for free, but we were running late and I opted for easy. Checking in was easy and friendly. Extra points for that. Free water in room, and chilled glasses are always a plus . And those funky square toilets that are always in the AC's...they always make me thing of Sponge Bob Square Pants. Now get that tune out of your head. New restaurant and rooftop bar upstairs. I will review that seperately.

Have not stayed at an AC Marriott Hotel before and had not been to downtown Dayton in a few decades where this hotel and area really exceeded expectations times 10. The hotel just opened and had its own indoor restaurant and patio overlooking the Minor League Dayton Dragons field. The Rooftop hotel patio lounge Foundry is scheduled to open later this summer. There are multiple brew pubs, coffee shops, restaurants and a large local food market filled with local shops and bites (think Faneuil Hall Boston smaller scale), all within a short 5 minute walk. Area concert venues, museums, the University of Dayton, and Wright Patterson Air Force Museum are just a short ride and minutes away. Parking at the hotel is truly on site - no scary garage and easy for a $10 fee.

The bar tender Aidan was absolutely fantastic. He was extremely friendly, kind and made the best drinks. I think it had the best and most beautiful drink of my life! Definitely recommend!!

Clean and updated rooms. Staff were friendly. The parking was a little tricky but we figured it out.

Poor stay the service was lacking as I would have expected from this brand! Parking for a sleepy town like Dayton was pricey!

They offer free popcorn throughout the day in their popcorn machine. Restaurant/bar - The bar there has 2 tvs and seats 30. It is not loud. Plenty of places to plug in and work. The food is quite good, better than expected in the bar. Breakfast - They offer hot food (not powdered eggs). Waffle station. Biscuits.and gravy. Veggie options for those.desiring it. Happy hour - From 1730 to 1900 they provide free food (nachos, hot dogs, pasta) and 3 free drinks. Choices are limited, but....free! Rooms - large and comfortable. The bed in mynroom was a new, comfy king with 5 ample pillows. The bathroom has a separate toilet and sink.divided by a door. The shower is large with glass doors and the shower heading fantastic. No tub. They have a pool and hot tub indoors. Parking is easy but the lot is shared with Red Lobster. Rewards - Drury is privately owned and does not use Bonvoy, Hilton, etc. They have their own points. Sign up is easy via email and the receptionist did it for me in 30 seconds. I will be staying here again!

Stayed September 4-9 and really can't ask for more…read more.. A covered area to unload your vehicle and then plenty of parking. Front staff and housekeeping are very polite and easy to interact with. The daily morning breakfast items were much more than expected. There were daily scrambled eggs and some type of sausage patties/breakfast meat, English muffins, bagels. A couple of mornings, biscuits and gravy were available. Daily offerings included cereal and yogurts, along with oatmeal and almost a dozen toppings. There was also fruit, juice, several coffees, and teas. Less that 100 yards away are several places for lunch/dinner. From approximately 5 to 10 PM there was a full bar (wine too) with many drink specials, and happy hour was 5-7PM. And the bartender, Melanie, was glad to make a recommendation or a favorite libation too.

There were gummies and other items on the floor, the bedspreads were stained, and the ottoman had a large stain down the front. We had requested a pack-and-play and let the hotel know we'd be arriving late. It wasn't in the room when we arrived around 10:30 p.m., but the front desk associate apologized, worked to locate one, and brought it to us. He handled the situation kindly and did his best to help. The staff were great, but the room's condition needs attention.

Ive been coming here for work for the past decade and Ive seen the growth of the property to match…read morethe growth of the area. Ive yet to be disappointed in any of the stays Ive been in. The staff are all very professional and courteous from the check-in counter to the restaurant/bar. The Executive Lounge on the 6th floor also always has a very pleasant and attentive host/hostess. Speaking of the lounge, during cocktail hour they serve a decent selection of drinks and also have a decent spread of appetizers/bites. In the mornings, the lounge had tour standard breakfast selections of cereals, breads/pastries, eggs, sausage or bacon. It gets the job done. The main bar/restaurant has tasty food and drink options as well. As for the rooms, Ive stayed at the balcony rooms facing the courtyard and the other side facing the parking lot and both views are great. The rooms are very clean and are roomy enough with great wifi and a work desk so I can get my work done in the room if I need to. The location is nice being next to Carillon Historic Park and the University of Dayton; along the waterfront which is ideal to take a morning/evening stroll or run. Also, less than a 10 min drive to Downtown/Oregon District too.

The hotel has indoor and outdoor pools (I did take a look and I think that they're actually connected, but didn't check to be certain). The gym is well equipped with a variety of machines and some freeweights. The parking lot is huge, and surprisingly complimentary. Considering the hotel isn't really near anything, you'll likely have a car while you're staying here. The rooms have incredibly comfortable beds and furniture, but the AC units are...well, they're not quiet, but they're not necessarily noisy either. Otherwise the rooms were incredibly quiet. I was surprised that my room had a balcony I could step out on as well. Overall, I'd definitely stay here again.

Tru is the place for you!…read more The Good: The hotel was clean, quiet and comfy. The staff was friendly, fun and just fantastic. The amenities were wonderful; foosball, billiards and the pool can keep a family busy. The fitness room had enough to get a good workout in. There was plenty of parking on site. The free breakfast was what you would expect, had a good variety of items and had something for everyone. The bad: This location really didn't have anything bad, I just have two suggestions for improvement. 1. The breakfast had an automated pancake maker that was relatively slow and would oftentimes stop working due to a clog in the flow of pancake batter. This could be an issue when the hotel has a lot of hungry patrons all trying to use it at once. You might want to invest in a second machine or go another route all together. 2. The body soap, hand soap and shampoo containers were mounted on the wall at a height that was hard to reach for kids under the age of 10. Additionally, the containers can be difficult to squeeze by little hands. This is an opportunity for improvement. Overall, we had a great visit and would stay there again. I was grateful that the hotel has quiet hours posted on the wall when the elevator doors open. Thankfully it was adhered to cos in a previous hotel I was at, the kids were allowed to run up and down the halls and carry on loudly without any adult supervision. My room was spacious, clean, but the HVAC was loud and had to be turned up quite high to get the room warm. Then it would become too hot and just turning it down one degree quickly cooled it off too much. It was a neverending dance. I didn't have time for breakfast cos had to get on the road early, but it was crowded and loud with all the kids and their parents. BTW, there's a wonderful Polish/Lithuanian restaurant called Amber Rose about 12 mins from the hotel that's excellent. Seriously delicious food. Definitely worth checking out! You can see my review on it in Yelp. https://theamberrose.com/

First of all, the toilet didn't flush correctly, it ran continuously. Secondly, the exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work. After only two people showering, the entire room/walls were wet from the steam. It was crazy. Then, the smoke detector was chirping because it needed a battery change. Luckily this issue was resolved before it was time to go to sleep. Finally, and maybe I'm asking too much with this last complaint, but most hotels recently have a full size/newer hair dryer. This one was the super old school teeny tiny dryer that couldn't even dry my thin hair. It shouldn't cost too much to upgrade these and it would be much appreciated. Positives: The breakfast was great and the staff was friendly! Oh yeah- I agree with the review below about the pool being WAY over chlorinated. It was like swimming in Salt Water!
