Solid Hampton Inn experience in a hotel that appears to have been refurbished in the past year or so. Room was clean, loved having a walk in shower instead of the old school tub with bowed curtain rod that older Hamptons had. Water pressure was okay. This is the second refurbished Hampton I've visited where the thermostat doesn't control the temperature and there is no notice that you need to adjust the temperature setting on the wall unit itself. Once we figured that out everything was fine. read more

Been staying here for a week and I've had a great experience. The staff have all been very helpful and accommodating, and even helped us change rooms at one point. The place is very clean and well taken care of too. THE GYM is newly renovated and amazing. Really the best hotel gym you're going to find at this price point. Has plenty of room and all kinds of things from free weights up to 75, yoga mats, Kettle Bells, pull up bar and cable machine, bench and cardio equipment, and once again plenty of space. They even have a peloton. Also for a hotel breakfast it's pretty solid. They rotate it daily and they keep it fresh. Even have some great little fresh muffins (I only had one of these ya know, gotta watch that waste line haha) ;) Btw the beds are extra comfy! Thanks Hampton Inn! read more

Stay here if you don't like to sleep. You hear the traffic in the hall and on the street. The breakfast is ok at best They only give you 3 towels and clean your room every other day so do that math smh. We won't be back. read more

Really liked this Hampton Inn. It's newer than most, and the design of the room furniture is especially clean and attractive. The whole hotel had that pleasant "sterilized for your protection" fresh scent that the old classic Holiday Inns had back in the 1960s and 1970s. The front desk staff was also really friendly. Not only did we get complimentary bottled waters as Hilton Honors members, but they even gave us a few extra complimentary cookies as well. The beds were extremely comfortable, one of the nicest things about an exceptionally nice Hampton Inn. Breakfast was unspectacular but serviceable, and the staff who worked it was very efficient and nice. Internet service was great, too. If I had one small nit, it would be that the walls were paper-thin. We would have been miserable if people in the rooms and hall around us had made noise. Fortunately, we were up on the top floor and lin a very quiet location so the thin walls didn't wind up bothering us. Oh, and the TV picture is large and crisp but the remote for it is a little odd, you can't key in a channel number, you have to scroll through all the channels to find the one you want. But the hotel as a whole was so attractive and comfortable that I didn't mind these imperfections. read more

Very close to Cracker Barrel, which is always good right? Easy to chk in using hotels.com, we paid $110 for our room Our room was large and very clean, my wife was happy. Will take pics of breakfast tomorrow. Two stars lost for the very abrupt, unfriendly and cold front desk clerk. He did not greet us when we came in and we we left and returned from dinner, he never lifted his head. HORRIBLY RUDE STAFF!!!! KATIE working the front desk with blonde curly hair should be ASHAMED of herself. Truly, what a miserable person who has no business working in the hospitality industry. I would have rather stayed at some place with known bedbugs than receive the kind of treatment I got here!!!! My fiancé and I stayed one night here and spent good money to stay someplace we thought would be "nice." Well, way to ruin our whole experience! Not only did she throw away and shut down breakfast one hour early in the morning (which a sign on the wall very clearly states breakfast is until 10am - and even the man working the counter at night reassured us breakfast went until 10am) but she was entirely rude when we inquired about it. She shrugged us off with a snotty attitude and might as well have flipped us the bird. Whatever. We took our loss, however, on our way out we went to get a cup of coffee from the coffee station in the lobby when we noticed they were out of cups. We kindly asked for cups and she rudely sighed and went into the closed breakfast room to retrieve cups. Perhaps a chance to redeem herself by being kind? ...nope! She returned with small styrofoam water fountain cups. Said cups were clearly NOT intended for coffee, nor did the coffee cup lids at the coffee station even fit the cups. She put the cups down with attitude and walked away. I do realize I sound petty here, but when you pay $100+ for a one night stay at a basic hotel, the attitude need not be included. What a miserable person that knows no class or hospitality. Wouldn't recommend staying here unless you enjoy being treated like garbage. Truly - a shame. The hotel itself was nice and clean and I want so badly to like it. Tony working the desk overnight was kind. I could live without the sour attitude served to me in the morning though. read more

Yet another example of a hotel that is mediocre because of a lack of attention to detail. - Received two room keycards but only one was programmed correctly. Unfortunately, I discovered this the hard way. - Free popcorn is a great snack but not for a hotel. Popcorn kernels were all over the lobby, down the halls, and in the elevator. - One elevator was out of commission. I understand stuff happens but the hotel was booked which really slowed down elevator service. The corners and door track of the operable elevator need to be cleaned. - Paint/wallpaper over 2nd floor ice machine is peeling & hanging down. That's an easy fix so why let it go unattended? It's obviously been that way for awhile. - Room microwave still had 11 seconds of cook time left from the previous occupant which tells me housekeeping isn't cleaning the microwave. We stayed a 2nd night & housekeeping still hadn't caught it. - The bed's headboard didn't extend the full width of the bed. Either it wasn't properly centered at installation or they intended it to be about a foot short on the right side. - Hallway carpet is stained. Some guests are pigs but design your floor coverings so sections may be easily replaced in high traffic areas. The property appears to have been recently renovated but I'm not a fan of patterns in greens and oranges. Aren't today's interior designers taught to never consider anything reminiscent of the 1970s? The breakfast buffet was standard; nothing exceptional. However, as stated earlier, the hotel was fully booked during our stay. The staff did a great job keeping the buffet filled and clean despite being very busy. Dining options in the immediate area are somewhat limited. There is a Cracker Barrel & Bob Evans within easy walking distance. Everything else is mostly fast food or carry-out. If you want more options for sit-down casual dining & shopping, I suggest considering properties located near the intersection of US 68 & SR 41 (Troy Rd.) read more

If our stay is anything like the care I just had on the phone with "Sandra" I can't wait for our stay. Booked 3 rooms for a wedding (2 nights) and then a 4th for one night and called to get them grouped together. The first girl I spoke with was NOT helpful and told me I couldn't request so far ahead and was "subject to availability" so I kept pressing and asking and then she confessed she wasn't even on site, she was at a call-Center, so she sent me to the hotel itself to talk to someone on site! Enters Sandra into the scenario. She was FANTASTIC. She took her time with me. Let me explain what I wanted and then worked hard to get the 4 rooms I needed and had reserved on the same floor across the hall from each other and adjoining. WOW...what incredible customer service. If Hampton reads this...she deserves a raise or bonus or reward because I am sure she shows this same care with all her guests. So be aware...This is a PRAISE for the reservation process and the arrangement process. Stay Tuned for my "now we stayed" rating of what really happened. But so far so good and we are VERY IMPRESSED! I had stayed at this Hampton Inn in 2007 for a local wedding. It was serviceable, but had some ongoing renovations that were a bit disruptive. The pool was closed, but Hampton guests were permitted to use the one at the neighboring Red Roof Inn. It had been almost 8 yrs til I returned, but I was very pleased with my most recent stay. It had a pretty modern feel to it and seemed pretty clean. My room with two queens ($109/night) was kept well and was big enough for my family of four. The floor was reasonably quiet and we all got some good rest. Breakfast was OK - pretty standard Hampton Inn fare. The front desk staff on the Saturday night we arrived were friendly and accommodating. Another plus was the online check in. I was able to get the exact room I requested. This will be my go-to property anytime I'm in Springfield over night. read more

Breakfast area is decent and spacious. You aren't bumping into tables as u walk around like other hotels I've been in. Food is okay (yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, cereals, smoked sausages, french toast sticks, assortment of bread and bagels, a waffle maker, milk, teas, coffees, water, and juice). The hot drinks are available and free all day, which is nice. I didn't check the cold drinks. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Near highway so u get a little road noise but not bad at all. Mid-size fridge and flat-panel TV with cable and heating/AC. Room actually felt and looked clean. Friendly staff. Pool and whirlpool open until 10pm. I'd definitely book here again when I'm back in the area. Just another good experience with a Hampton Inn. My only complaint would be the clicking and ticking noises from the fridge. Could've been just our room. Wasn't worth making a fuss. read more

I stay at a lot of Hampton Inn hotels for work. This is the nicest one that I've stayed at. It is decorated very well and I appreciate the furniture. Some Hamptons have hardly any furniture. This one has a modem chair with an ottoman, a bench, and an attractive entertainment center. A lot of nice decor. Very clean as is typical with all Hampton locations. When I stayed at this hotel on October 7, 2018 I woke up after two hours with welts all over my body. Never having experienced bedbugs before I thought I had eaten something that had caused an allergic reaction. I then saw and caught a bug. I called the night clerk and he quickly moved me to another room. At checkout I asked for nothing more than to have my suitcase replaced since I did not want it or anything in it to go home with me. They said the manager would have to approve this. The email from the manager not only stated that he would not replace the piece of luggage but he also believed I brought the bedbug in since the one I caught was the only one found. It is not typical for Hampton employees at any level to be so rude. I am a diamond member because the service and quality is far from what I encounter from this manager. I won't be back and recommend that you think twice as well. read more

Loved staying here! My wife and I were traveling from Nashville to Buffalo and decided to stay overnight as it is roughly the "half way mark." The rooms were clean and comfortable and Robin at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. We woke up the next morning and had a very tasty complimentary breakfast of scrambled eggs with ham and cheese, sausage, and toasted bagels. We enjoyed our stay here so much that we stayed again on our way back from Buffalo. If we ever find ourselves in Springfield Ohio again, this is where we'll be staying! read more

I was in town for a college visit at Wittenberg University with my daughter. This hotel is right off of 70, and only about 2-3 miles from campus. It is surrounded by gas stations and restaurants, so if you wanted to just walk you could. Everything looked very up to date and new, and our room was wonderful. When we arrived the popcorn cart in the lobby was popping fresh popcorn which was yummy! The room had two queen beds with the big down comforter and lots of pillows. Carpets, furniture, bathroom all look new or very recently updated so I was very pleased. Room temperature has a thermostat to control, and the blower ran consistently all night which was a nice white noise. Breakfast was very well done - everything kept fully stocked and the server helped point things out to us, greeted us when we sat down and left us some mints too! Hot oatmeal, fruit, breads/toast, cereal, waffles, omelets and sausage - something for everyone! Yummy! Took us about 8 minutes to get to campus, so that was super convenient too. If my daughter ends up attending Wittenberg we will definitely be returning to this location frequently! read more

I stayed here for my sister soccer tournament and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, they even let the kids stay in the pool after the pool should have been closed (10:00pm) and they went out of their way to get guests items in the breakfast area that were out of stock. If im ever in Springfield again I will defiantly stay here again read more
