There's also an adorable breakfast nook under a window looking out over the trees. Yellow Springs, Ohio is certainly my kind of quirky and lived up to expectations. From Jailhouse, it's a short walk, say five minutes, down to the heart of the town, and the famed Little Miami trail. This is a perfect location for those hoping to enjoy what the town has to offer. We got the suite which was on the top floor. We walked in and loved it. It was newly renovated and really clean. Awesome decor. It did not feel like a hotel. There was a kitchen, (pots pans, utensils refrigerator, filtered water) and a keurig coffee maker (which is a bonus), widescreen tv (in living room and bedroom), dining area, extra toiletries if needed, extra towels, and building is solar energy My only con was the bed was not comfortable and the hot water did not stay long if you wanted to take a bath. When I asked for an itemized receipt at checkout, I was told my balance was $0 and therefore no receipt could be issued. This means there is no documentation that the cash payment was ever made. Requiring cash-only payments and not providing receipts raises serious concerns about transparency and proper business practices. I attempted to resolve this with Choice Hotels customer service, but unfortunately it did not lead to a resolution. Customers should always receive documentation for any payment made.

They do not charge more for dogs & they will put you on the 1st floor. But they don't have a bar. They do serve a hot breakfast. All rooms have a big fridge & a microwave.
