I stayed here for 2 nights while visiting an old friend who is a native and long term-resident of Urbana. In sum, staying here is better than a Comfort Inn, Motel 6, or Quality Inn, but not as nice as a Hyatt Place or Marriott Courtyard but they are charging the same rate: 1. It was fine for 2 nights--I really would not want to stay here much longer and if I return to Urbana would look for another place to stay unless their rates were significantly reduced. . 2. Upon check-in and during the stay my interaction with staff was fine--they were not overly welcoming when I arrived, but not super-friendly either. 3. Overall, the room was pretty clean, but I did find one errant hair in the shower and the the shower curtains had a little bit of dark at the bottom edges? A little dirty? 3a. The room was set up for efficiency which I liked a lot. 4. The main problem in the room was the shower operations--during three showers--one of them at 2 am when presumably few are using the hotel water, it was impossible to get the shower temperature to stay on my setting--it kept on going to hot or cold and required constant adjustment during the shower. 5. Most of the towels were good quality, but a few I had to set aside because of too much wear. They graciously gave me extra towels at the desk and I liked that. 5a. They do not make up or clean your room until the 3rd night unless you ask and I did not need it on this stay. 6. I did like that they had shower soap bars as I cannot properly clean with the liquid. 6a. The toilet seat is the very thin plastic type that when you lean a bit to one side snaps off the bowl edge like you are going to fall off if you know what I mean? You have to maintain your balance on the seat to prevent that from happening. 7. The King mattress was comfortable enough for a couple or nights, but not one I would sleep on full time at home. Same with the pillows--fine for 2 nights. 8. I am used to a heavier down comforter, and theirs was a bit thin for me, but fine for 2 nights. 9. The place seemed safe, in a safe area of town--definitely get out and see the downtown Urbana--they have some good restaurants and antique stores--great to walk around and meet the locals like I did. 10. The real fall-down at this hotel at this price range is the free breakfast--it's awful--it's the 2nd worst I have seen at a free breakfast hotel in 20 years. Plan on going into town for your breakfast--there are some good places. At this price point--this breakfast should have been much much better and comprehensive. In sum, no one is going to have a bad stay at this hotel, but no one is going to have a great stay at this hotel. It's mid-range, mediocre due to all the things I listed above. It's a $100 a night hotel in 2024 prices, charging much more than that like it's a Hyatt or Marriott, so it's over-valued--especially with such a poor breakfast. Sorry that I could not file a better a report because I liked Urbana a lot.

Ample parking was behind the inn; newly asphalted too! The reception lobby was open and inviting. The timber beams, heavy hand tools and dated photographs nodded to the entire area's rustic roots. Manager Joan greeted us warmly, and regaled us with stories of the village's pioneers and valued residents. It was wonderful! Our first floor Queen Room (~ $160) was spotless, fresh and quiet. Bedding was comfortable, as was the room temperature. All appliances and fixtures worked well. Loved the Evelyn & Crabtree toiletries as well as the thick, fresh towels! Breakfast was very simple, consisting of cereals and canned fruit salad with a few cellophane-wrapped sweets, but the local coffee brew was hot, fresh and strong! We visited the little gift shop, and picked up a history book and vintage postcards. There are local crafts and wares available too. We recommend the Hearthstone to anyone considering a visit to the area.

The loft features high ceilings and my wife compared it to staying in a treehouse. There's also an adorable breakfast nook under a window looking out over the trees. Yellow Springs, Ohio is certainly my kind of quirky and lived up to expectations. From Jailhouse, it's a short walk, say five minutes, down to the heart of the town, and the famed Little Miami trail. This is a perfect location for those hoping to enjoy what the town has to offer. I stayed here for about two weeks (maybe more), and my experience was overall really good. The team that runs liberty worked really well with me throughout the process. With just one call, they either always answer right away or had a voice mail that ensures they will call right back (and they do!). Communication with them is very solid - be it via email or phone calls, so whatever concern or question you have, I'm confident it'll be addressed promptly. Before coming to Ohio, I knew I needed to book a place to stay. But I had questions about booking online, so I called the liberty lodging team. Guess what, they stayed on the phone and walked me through the process! - In booking online, I love that they didn't require my credit card info up front. When I arrived at the place, the reserved unit was waiting for me. It was very pleasant. The unit had: - a nice, cozy living room with a big sectional and a big TV - a full kitchen (with dishwasher, sink, stove, microwave, utensils, dishware, pots and pans, counter... etc.) - a spacious hallway - bedrooms with super comfy beds and pillows, and fresh, clean linens + study desks - each bedroom had its own designated bathrooms - the unit had a washer and dryer - outside, there was plenty of space for parking - there's also a secured front door, and an option to secure each bedroom - it smelled good, and whoever their house cleaning service company was, shoutout to them because they were excellent! I could go on and on with the specifics. I really liked their business plan. I came here to attend a program at AFIT, and I had roommates, which I really liked, in part because they were nice, and in part, because I am super down to expanding my social network. If you are too, then this place is something that you might truly like! Unfortunately, I had to move elsewhere because my boyfriend came to town to visit me and so I asked my roommates if they were cool with him staying with me for a couple of days. But one of my roommates wasn't comfortable having a male in the unit. So, with respect to my housemate's preference, I adjusted and just moved to Country Inns, which was just around the corner. Issues like this happen, and that's separate from the establishment. So overall, I enjoyed my stay at Liberty Lodging, even though it was a short time, it was absolutely a time well-spent. :) It goes without saying that I highly recommend liberty lodging!

From the outside, you might not expect much--but inside, it's clear this property has been thoughtfully overhauled. The rooms are bright, clean, and well-equipped for longer stays. There's a full-size fridge, microwave, plenty of counter space, and more storage than I've seen in most hotels at this price point. The flooring is a wood-style material (not carpet!), which makes everything feel cleaner and more modern. And the flat-screen TV? Let's just say movie nights are well covered. The bathroom setup is another highlight--sleek fixtures, great lighting, and enough counter space to actually lay out your stuff. It's not flashy, but it works, and that's what matters. What really stood out, though, was how quiet it was. The building feels sturdier than most hotels--walls don't seem paper thin, and I never once heard my neighbors. I also appreciated the free wifi and the pet friendly environment. The staff was friendly and helpful every time I interacted with them, and the place was kept impressively clean. I also appreciated the location, next to Wright Patterson and how easy it was to get around as traffic is light most of the time. Beavercreek, the Air Force Museum and even Dayton are short drives of around 10 minutes and I never ran into traffic anywhere. Bottom line? Suburban Studios Fairborn is a great option if you want a calm, clean, and comfortable place to stay--especially for more than just a night or two. I'd definitely stay here again.

OK is an accurate description. I don't expect perfection from a place as inexpensive as this, but…read moreit was all the little imperfections and minor annoyances that if fixed could make it a much better experience. When you enter the lobby, it is clear that they are undergoing a renovation. There are stacks of drywall and other building materials both inside and outside of the lobby. The staff was friendly enough, but when you walk in, you hear a "beware, you are being recorded" message from some sort of camera system. Maybe it gives others piece of mind, but I found it rather creepy. My room was on the second floor and there is no elevator. Not a big deal, but the stairwell looks like no one has maintained it in years. Dingy, musty and torn carpets. The hallway where the rooms are located was much better. But our room door was covered in what looked like splattered paint. The room had been somewhat remodeled, but it was either still in progress or maybe they just figured "eh, that's enough for now" For example, the headboard and mattress were clearly newer, but with the way the headboard stuck out, you couldn't fit your plug into the spots for charging on the bedside table. The picture above the bed clearly was smaller than the frame it was in and the furniture was all nicked up. But the bathroom was really clean. Minus the fact that the toilet paper roll was no longer attached to the wall (so the roll was just on the roller part but on the counter in the bathroom). Bed was more comfortable than I expected, but the pillows were basically non existent. I didn't know they made pillows as thin as they ones that were on that bed. I had three stacked and it just barely was the width of what you would typically use as a pillow. Overall, not a horrible place, but there is clearly a lot of room for improvement. Hopefully that happens with whatever remodel is going on.
