If three stars is Okay, then this is a two star review. Room 256 was clean and quiet, but the curtains did not fully close and the 1" gap let in a lot of light from the parking lot floodlights directly across the parking lot. Hot water was hot and quick, thank you very much. Breakfast room attendant was excellent. No waiting for anything as she kept everything stocked. Coffeemaker did not include the little tray that hold the coffee bags. Front desk did not have the little tray, so every coffee refill required a trip to the lobby. Night light in the bathroom is inop. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. Had to make another run to the front desk for TP. read more

Extremely clean!!! I was so relieved to see such a clean/sanitary room and bathroom after 12+ hours of driving today! Used digital key so bypassed the desk but thrilled to find a front parking space and a great big King room (#155) waiting for me. This is also a good location off the freeway with plenty of restaurants and life at the exit. read more

First time coming here since I didn't want to stay in the Dayton area. This place isn't too bad. Staff here is friendly. The breakfast here was quite minimal and the amenities weren't as such at the other Hampton Inns. This place does feature a pool. Fitness room and business center. Overall decent service and definitely not a bad place I would end up going back too read more

Granted much of this is temporary but, they are under construction and did not tell us that when booking. My biggest concern was that there are numerous serious fire violations that are required to maintain during renovations. The door off of the exit stairwell and non working smoke detectors were the most critical to me. Safety is paramount! Stay away until they are done with this. read more

If i could leave no stars, i would. I booked here 2 months in advance for my son's college graduation. It was over $300 per night so i assumed it would be clean and comfortable. The first room they gave us, when we walked in it was already occupied. Beds unmade, dirty towels everywhere. I went back to tell the man at the front desk and he seemed shocked. He said they were fully booked. He said he would have to call his manager. after waiting over 10 minutes for him to come back we had to leave for graduation. We called for the next hour trying to get in touch with the hampton. After finally getting in touch with someone they said they found us a room. This room was awful. It was under construction and there was sheet rock dust everywhere. Unbelievable!! Never again! read more

Stayed here for my work and all was fine with the stay itself, but there was a billing issue and the management has been MIA. It has caused quite a bit of grief for me and my work. Manager needs to be better with answering messages and emails. Its been nearly a week and a half and no response and my boss is breathing down my neck about the billing issue. We stayed at this hotel November of 2022 and it was great. Decided to book again since we had a great experience the first time. Booked my trip, called to request a rollaway bed (which I did in Nov 2022 also) and was told they would put the request in. We decided to extend our trip a day so I booked it and then called and again mentioned needing a rollaway for the extra day. Again told that was fine and they would put it in their notes. My son, my mom and I drove over 10 hours to visit family in the area and arrived around 10:30pm to check in. Went inside and was told I could not have a rollaway bed due to "safety issues". Excuse me!? Grace at the front desk then proceeded to call her manager about it and blamed it on her coworker Danielle for not explaining the policy to me. Her boss would not honor the rollaway request even though I called on two separate occasions and was never told anything. THEN her boss told her to "remind me" that their maximum capacity is listed on their website AS IF I'M THE ONE WHO DID SOMETHING WRONG!!!!! I mean really!?! We had 3 people and their max was 4!!!! To tell me at 10:30 AT NIGHT that I can't have a bed for my son to sleep in is absolutely ridiculous. And to make people leave to find a different hotel that late at night too after a screw up from multiple of your staff! Absolutely deplorable! read more

Normally I give all Hampton's a five-star. When I walked in the lobby I could smell a really heavy heavy scent of chlorine from the pool. The chlorine smell was so strong I didn't allow my son to swim in it. I think the pool chemicals were probably off a bit with way too much chlorine. I didn't notice the chlorine smell as much the next morning. What I do like about most Hamptons including this one is they don't use artificial perfumes to try and cover up other smells. Otherwise everything else was clean and up to the typical Hampton standards. So I went down to the morning breakfast and I have to say the fruit selection was absolutely terrible. They were brown. Well maybe I should say it was brown because there was only one. There was also something that looked like some kind of canned oranges or grapefruit. I couldn't even tell other than that it just looked unEdible. No yogurt of any kind. The eggs were almost completely gone. So I have a choice of white starchy potatoes or a waffle. My option go out to eat. Also they have doors that close the breakfast eating area off that close promptly at 10 AM. Unlike other Hamptons I've gone to if you're a few minutes late it's still fine no they close them exactly 10 am. The staff handling the breakfast was too busy socializing in the back to keep supplies fresh or offer any help. read more

Okay room. Staff was nice. King bed in room but plan on asking for more pillows- only 2 came with the room. coffee maker but no coffee, no cups, and just very basic amenities. I understand that it may be due to the pandemic however they have breakfast I guess. Didn't make it to breakfast so not sure how good it is. The service is great here and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. But what really made me want to write this review is how thoughtful the staff is! I left a little tip in my room for when they tidied up later in the day. When I came back that night I saw this sweet thank you note they left me! I was in town for the Strawberry Festival in Troy, OH and my family decided to stay at the Hampton Inn. The check-in service was very pleasant and there was a wonderful note in the room from housekeepers (Alissa and Anna) upon arrival, even though we showed up slightly earlier than expected. Furthermore, the room and pool area were both very clean and orderly. The beds were very comfortable and the TV was easy to operate. Plugs on the lamp in between the beds made charging my phone over night very easy. The reason I did not give 5 stars in this review is because the breakfast options were very limited. My family was down to breakfast around 9:00AM on Sunday (breakfast ends at 10:00AM) and there was very little ham or fruit left. The waffles are do-it-yourself, but the directions are very easy to follow and the waffles turned out delicious. Overall, our stay was very pleasant and we would recommend staying here again. read more

First, let me say that I have been for years a Hilton Diamond member, the highest level of the Hilton program, so I have stayed in lots of hotels, and have had great experiences at many Hampton Inns. This one is a complete disaster. I "upgraded" to a king room with a whirlpool tub. I have stayed at nice hotels with a similar option, and they usually come with a larger room--and the tub is in the bathroom. At this Hampton, they just stuck the tub in the middle of the room. I thought the last of those rooms went out with the demolition of the Las Vegas Desert Inn. Not only is the set up ridiculous, the tub, along with the rest of the room, was filthy. The jets in the tub were crusted with some organism--I wouldn't have submerged in the thing unless I was already on an antibiotic regimen. OK, my mistake, so the next day I went to the front desk and spoke with the "manager," Sharon, and asked to move into a regular room, at my regular corporate rate ($45 less than the rate I was paying). I was told, no, that rate was not available. I told Sharon that her response was not acceptable. She couldn't have cared less. I did not press her to honor Hampton's pledge that "If you're not 100% satisfied, we don't expect you to pay," I just checked out. This Harvard MBA figured it was better for me to move next door to the Residence Inn and lose two days of revenue that to offer me an accommodation and keep a customer. Genius. I tried to grab a cup of coffee on the way out, but both the regular and robust carafes were empty at 7:15. I guess they haven't figured out that morning is coffee-drinking time. If it is your lot to be in troy, Ohio, stay elsewhere where your business will be appreciated. read more

I travel each week to Troy, OH for work, and Hampton Inn is my preferred hotel. Why, with the many hotel options within a 1 mile radius, do I prefer this Hampton Inn? The service. Deb at the front desk is exceptional, and is always accommodating my needs. Hot water in the lobby isn't hot enough? She'll heat up another batch. Luggage didn't make it onto my flight? She'll make sure it gets to my room (even if it's at 2:30 a.m.). This recently-renovated hotel is clean, the staff is friendly, there is free continental breakfast during weekdays and free bar drinks on Tuesday & Wednesdays. read more

DONT STAY HERE. I really wish I didn't have to put any stars. My family and I stayed here for July 4th weekend. Our stay was only okay until we noticed the hotel had charged our card three separate times for three different amounts. (Our two night stay was only supposed to be $200.00, as we booked through booking.com) Our card was charged $630.00 FOR TWO NIGHTS. My husband and I both spoke with Tracy (the only "manager" on duty at the time.) We were told very rudely this was a normal occurrence, and that it happened to everyone. As she laughed in our face, We were told the bank would release our money and all extra fees would go back in our account the following day. Unhappy with the response I had received from her, I emailed the main manager Roger and explained the situation. He apologized for her rude behavior and explained that if I had my bank call him he would help me receive my money back and also reimburse the extra $40 I was charged vrs them and booking.com. Not only did I have to spend 25 plus mins on the phone with the bank trying to get everything sorted out, when chase bank and I contacted him via 3 way he acted as if he had NO idea what was going on and said "our computers only show your account being charged once". Thank God chase bank was on the other line or I would have never gotten my money back. All in all its not worth getting scammed out of your money or being treated like trash. We moved to the holiday inn and had a MUCH better experience. read more

Your pillows are horrendous! It's honestly unbelievable how many hotels feel it's necessary to have down pillows. They are absolutely useless and it's pretty pointless to have an amazingly comfortable bed and then top it off with down pillows. Typical Hampton from aesthetic standpoint, maid service is good, no laundry services at motel. Management is poor, Stayed 13 of 16 weeks since Jan, 1, 2016 and had continual billing issues, missing reservations with lack of response from the manager. Diamond member where the management NEVER provides the perks of the HHonors Diamond status. When upgrade is requested they say "sure" then check you out and check back in at the higher rate published for that day. Management ignores profile information on HHonors and does what they want. HHonors has lost a customer specifically due to the consistent problems and lack of response from the manager. The Marriott folks next door are great and appreciate your business. read more
