I am a huge proponenet of "old school" doctors that actually listen to your concerns, share their expertise, and together come up with a plan that will work for you not only in that moment, but also in the long run. His office staff is caring, and gets you to where you need to be. It may take some time, but you will get there. All in all, he's a very kind, compassionate human who wants the best for his patients. Yes it may be a long wait to see him once you're in the examination room, don't worry, the wait is worth it!!!

I am being excessively generous with the second star here and the only reason I am giving two is…read morebecause I like Dr Carlson. He's a very nice person and the staff in his office are also pleasant. But from a quality of care perspective, you should find another primary care physician. I made my appointment as a new patient a year ago. As is the case with US healthcare, I had to wait months for my appointment. My initial appointment, even though I had health concerns, was mostly just a meet and greet and filling out paperwork, including records request for prior doctors and specialists. And that was it. Paid a copay, and they billed my insurance company. Second visit was 4 months or so later. This was to give Dr Carlson time to review prior records. When I showed up, again, no exam at all. Dr Carlson spoke briefly about the records he received and wanted to send me out for blood work, even though I had blood work already. Turns out they didn't receive records from everyone, including a specialist who had just done an extensive blood panel a month or so prior. So, Dr Carlson sent me on my way while they attempted to get that paperwork. Had me schedule another appt in 4 months. Copay and insurance billed again, for nothing. Fast forward to this past week and my last appointment. Dr Carlson spent most of the time talking about all of the data he received from the specialist. And while he did ask me if I had any health concerns, he told me my questions were good ones for the specialist and I should ask him. He also suggested getting another opinion on my issues. But that was it. Once again, no exam. However, this time he said he was going to bill this as my annual physical because then I won't have a copay. I don't know why I didn't say anything then and there. I should have. But that's 3 visits. 3 times billing my insurance company and two copays. And one of them billing as an annual physical without giving me any type of exam. What kind of doctor or medical practice is this? How do you have me come in 3 times without giving me any kind of exam? Apparently, they are just here to bill your insurance as much as possible. People come to primary care doctors specifically to help find any issues early, but you can't detect issues in advance of them becoming problems if you don't conduct basic health exams. Moreover, the visits he had me come for could have all been handled in advance of any visit. The office could have contacted me at any time before my first visit to have me fill out records releases. And if any records didn't show up timely, they could have contacted me to follow up with those other doctors. That would have eliminated the need for those first two visits. Instead, they were inefficient - presumably because they just wanted to needlessly and endlessly bill my insurance. Anyway, long story short, Dr Carlson is a nice man and maybe a good doctor, but the way this practice is run is horrible. It's clearly more about billing your insurance and collecting your copay than it is about your health. Don't waste a year of your life like I did. Go somewhere else for your PCP needs.

This is the worst-run primary care office I have been a part of in years. I used to go to this…read morepractice when Dr. Kevin Whit owned the practice with Dr. Springle, and it was great. Since Wellmed took over, I wouldn't send my worst enemy to the practice. The office is dirty, the staff is very slow to assist with any needs, and the Drs. don't read case notes. Bedside manners are terrible. Try to get consistent refills of prescriptions; forget about it. They will only refer you to other WellMed practitioners. They dropped my wife because she wasn't sixty-five, and she had been going to the practice for over 25 yrs. Find another quality primary care office; this isn't for you

I first saw the NP and while I was with her, she smiled and actually listened to me and we had a real conversation which, I appreciated that. The ladies at the front desk are all smiling and made me feel at ease filling out the paperwork and checking out to make my next appointment! Getting a appointment is not a problem at all. It's easy to get seen even as a Nee patient which is great! What really got me was I could make my follow up with the NP or, with the One of the Drs!!!! What? At the last Drs office I went for 2 yrs and NOT 1 time have I been able to see the dr. I came in for my visit to today and wonderful

Dr Arline has been our family doctor since she first took over this practice about eight years ago…read more She takes her time and asks you all the necessary questions. You will never feel rushed in her office. That said...be prepared to wait to see her. We are rarely seen on time. The office staff is not the friendliest. Her nurse is always great with the kids. Dr. Arline is super involved with your care so it is comforting to have her when you have an issue. As I sit here waiting ONCE again to see her I tell myself I know the physical she does on my child will be a thorough one. The kids like her too which make going to the doctor with the kids easier. Her nurse knows how to give a ahot so that the kids don't even flinch which is another perk. I would suggest her as a primary care.

He is always kind, sincere, and takes the time to truly listen. He explains everything clearly and never makes you feel rushed. Like many practices, they've had some staffing challenges, but honestly--who hasn't? I'm a business professional myself, and I know firsthand how difficult it is to find and retain good people these days. That said, my visit today was seamless. I arrived at 12:50 for a 1:00 appointment and was out by 1:30. The entire staff was extremely friendly, welcoming, and professional. I should have written this review a long time ago. After reading some of the negative reviews, I feel compelled to say this: people need to be patient. You don't know what another patient may be dealing with, and personally, I don't want a doctor who rushes through appointments. I appreciate a physician who takes the time to provide thoughtful, thorough care--and that is exactly what Dr. Canton does. Highly recommend.

My husband said could you please let me call the insurance company to verify. She was insistent that their system shows that we are in a grace period and she had to cancel. He offered to pay out of pocket. She said no because you have insurance. Well in their system we don't, so what's the difference who pays?! Dr. Canton, Deana is condescending and extremely rude to your patients. She is not putting your patients wellbeing in mind. We will not be returning after being so treated so badly.
