But I booked this appointment because their website services list naturopathy, and specifically under those services detail the process of diagnostics - and that's not what I encountered today. In her words, "if you're one of those people who wants to waste time with bloodwork and things like that then we can..." I am one of those people, and I really appreciate understanding the "why" behind my treatment at the very least. But I got a lot of vague answers (why are you giving me these supplements? "Well I'm just giving you what's in my brain," and heard probably 5 times today "it's FDA approved", as if that explains anything), and so I spent $280 to learn this isn't the place for me, when I never would've booked at all if they didn't advertise services they don't believe in.

They keep up with medical research and developments that are both traditional and naturopathic. You are given the choice to address your issues with traditional approaches or with naturopathic approaches or both. They do a great job of offering me care covered by my insurance and adding on the naturopathic care I want as self pay. I am grateful because I could never afford concierge holistic care and I do want traditional medical care but want awareness and availability of holistic options for the things traditional medicine is failing me at. A great example of the naturopathic was a recent toxic mold exposure. I am severely sensitive to toxins in mold and was blasted with moldy attic dust and my physical reaction was swift followed by a systemic inflammatory response that was destroying me, and there really is nothing I've found that helps that in regular medicine. They offered me an ozone therapy IV that has helped other mold-sensitive patients and I recovered so quickly I couldn't believe it! It sounded wacky and I was skeptical but desperate -- but my God, it worked! Now I know what to do instead of suffering for days or weeks with the aftermath of my body kicking into overdrive, I can get relief. For run of the mill things I am willing to see the ARNPs but for critical or foundational items I make appointments with the doctor if I can wait. I trust the docs to help me advocate for care too. My gastro wouldn't test for parasites. He wouldn't even consider parasites a potential cause of gastrointestinal issues and just diagnosed me with IBS (a generic diagnosis of exclusion). The docs encouraged me to ask again because parasites can be a factor. I went to another gastro and he ran PCR stool tests and uncovered INVASIVE AMOEBAS and C-dif. My first gastro would have left me with amoebas that attack your gut and then go to your liver and lungs and brain and slapped me with a B.S. "IBS" diagnosis that was just his medical negligence. Thank God for the primary care doctors of this clinic who care and are knowledgeable and give me confidence to ask questions. You HAVE to choose knowledgeable doctors and primary care and this is a great one.

She told me i owed $124 and then when i said these are wellness visits, she said i had to talk to billing (why??). Then, billing called me back, said the appointments were scheduled incorrectly and that I didn't owe anything, and that she would fix the appointments. Then, the woman who checked me in tried to collect $124, I explained to her that both appointments were annual appointments. 5 minutes later I got a text advising me to pay my balance. They called me back up to pay $124. Then, one of them said that one appointment would be covered and the second appointment applied to my deductible. I told her I've met my deductible and billing said it wouldn't cost anything because they are wellness visits. She then tried to collect 20% coinsurance. It's truly disappointing that they can't get it right. The nurses and doctors were great but this is not the first time we've had issues with the front office staff. They do not know what's going on and they will try to overcharge you. They just charged me $50 for not going to the appointment. What a joke.

Additionally, he gives QiGong & Meditation classes on Saturdays. These practices have been so beneficial for health, mind, body, spirit, and sanity! :) I'm pleased to have met many wonderful people from being part of the Blue Dragon Clan. I…read moreunderstand that seeking support in addressing mental health challenges is deeply personal and varies widely from person to person. I also understand that many people don't seek help because of a real or imagined social stigma to doing so. However, I believe it's important for all of us to share reliable resources that may be helpful to others in need of emotional healing or support. I chose the Holistic Mental Health Clinic as a resource for emotional healing, particularly in the area of post-traumatic stress. I was hesitant to make an appointment anywhere, and I am fortunate that I chose this clinic. The clinic provides a professional and safe environment in a medium-sized office building located in St Peterburg, Florida. It is located in a partly-residential area of the city on a main street where parking is not a problem. There is a dedicated parking lot next to the building that offers free parking. My experience at this clinic was rewarding. My counselor, Lynn, was very professional, intelligent, capable, thorough, and caring. I found Lynn to be reliable, dependable, well-grounded, and honest at all times. Lynn added professional guidance and value to my healing process and she taught me coping skills that were proven, balanced and effective. Lynn was never judgmental. She always had my best interests as her primary objective. Lynn never promised unrealistic expectations, and she skillfully facilitated my healing process emotionally, physically, and spiritually by offering insightful and proven strategies that I could adapt to my lifestyle. Although Lynn was an essential part of my healing process for whom I will always be extremely grateful, the professional relationship we had between us was based on self-empowerment and mutual cooperation, not dependence. She presented opportunities for healing and learning, but never encouraged me to do more than I was comfortable doing. She identified challenge areas that I had not seen, and gently but confidently encouraged me to push through areas of discomfort and challenge myself when I felt ready. As far as my expectations as to outcome, Lynn created mutually agreed upon goals for my sessions, clarifying both health-related and cost-related expectations. She never cut my sessions short. All my expectations were either met to my satisfaction or exceeded. My health insurance does not cover counseling, but my overall spiritual, emotional and physical well-being is something that I value and I juggled my budget to afford this investment in myself. I have never regretted that I did so and the results I experienced were both impressive and have been on-going. The clinic was at all times transparent in its billing practices, accepted credit cards as payment, and accommodated my scheduling and budget concerns to the extent it could do so. Like many professional organizations that are entirely service-based for individuals, this clinic similarly charges for "no show" appointments. I never had the impression that fees were more important than my well-being. I recommend this clinic for anyone experiencing a mental health challenge and I encourage you to set up an initial consultation. However, whether it will be a good fit for you -- or right for you at this time in your life -- is something you and someone at the clinic will need to determine (you should ask what the rate for an initial consultation would be in advance ). Best wishes to you, and God bless.
