Avoid this doctor and his practice at all costs.
Edward W. Braun, MD

It doesn't take very long usually to prepare a summary of a doctor's medical negligence record, because most doctors have none. This doctor is a different story, and has left a trail of misconduct and injured patients in Florida, including fatalities. This one took some time.

Had I researched Edward W. Braun's record of medical negligence prior to seeing him, on a friend's recommendation, I never would have gone to him in the first instance, and I encourage anyone else reading this not to do so.
Things with this doctor were wrong from the get-go. Both this doctor's website and his new patient paperwork erroneously list as his office address his old office, at Florida Hospital Carrollwood. (It's possible the Hospital terminated this doctor's presence there after his last act of medical malpractice.) The inaccurate information on this doctor's website and new patient paperwork caused me to go to that old location for my first visit. The old location was not able to provide any new location for this doctor's office. This doctor's office telephone also was not functional that day. This all caused me significant unwarranted stress and inconvenience. I only found Braun's relocated office due to my GPS. Weeks later, Braun's staff still has not updated his office location on his website, suggesting a complete lack of concern.
In my case, Braun, after showing up an hour late for my appointment with him, failed to conduct a proper or thorough new patient examination, he ordered tests not covered by Medicare, which caused me problems, he failed to order tests which should have been ordered in light of my medical history, and then later refused to respond to attempts to communicate after my labs came back with some unexpected abnormalities. (This office will give you no help unless they can bill for an office visit.) When I raised some issues with his discourteous staff over the telephone, they promptly issued correspondence terminating me as a patient, just a few days before a scheduled follow up visit.
I now have to search yet again for a new doctor to take care of me.
Despite that, I'd say I have been done a great favor. Do yourself a favor and avoid this incompetent putz. Dr. Edward Braun and his staff are a danger to any patient they go near. read more
