When you aren't feeling well and you know that something is wrong you go to the doctor. You expect…read morethat doctor to listen to you - listen to your symptoms, how long you've been dealing with the issues, etc and then try to get to the root of the problem and treat you. Before coming to Dr. Trevino I had seen several doctors, all of which either did not know what was causing my health issues (and didn't make much of an effort to figure it out) or brushed me off. Dr. Trevino was recommended to me so I made an appointment, even though he is located over an hour from my home. I figured this appointment was going to go like the rest of them, but I took a shot. First, scheduling an appointment was easy. The office staff is friendly, and I got an appointment within the month. When I arrived at the office I only waited a few minutes to be seen. The office was not overflowing with double-booked patients as is usually the case with most offices. This office actually has you seen by your appointment time (or very close to it). Dr. Trevino asked me what was going on and listened quietly as I talked about the issues I had been going through. He performed a test in the office and let me know what he thought was going on. He was able to link all of my symptoms except one, and referred me to a specialist about that. His explanation of the condition was thorough. He asked me if I had questions, listened to them, and provided me with answers. He came up with a treatment plan using both medicine and lifestyle changes, and again explained all of the reasoning behind why the medicine and lifestyle changes help the condition. I have seen him quite a few times since the first visit and each time Dr. Trevino is patient and works with you to tailor your treatment plan. He figures out what is working and what is not, and comes up with ideas to work on to get you feeling better. Dr. Trevino is an internal medicine doctor, but does treat a lot of patients with Dysautonomia. He is very knowledgeable about the conditions and stays on top of research. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Trevino is you have one of these conditions.

Not only is he an excellent diagnostician, but he is an excellent surgeon, as well. He is able to perform minor surgeries in his office, if necessary. He, also, performs yearly checks for any skin damage we may have from the Sun. If I am not feeling well, I can contact him immediately and he will call me back using Telehealth to see and talk to us and possibly prescribe any medication we may need. When I arrived, they were totally not prepared for the pre-op. I requested an appt within the next 3 days since my operation was 4 days away. They said they were too busy. I challenged them that they should fund a way since I did not want to cancel my operation. They made no effort. I had to go to Bayside and pay out of pocket for the pre-op tests. I then spent 6 hours on the phone over the next week attempting to get reimbursed by Humana and I planned to request the unreimbursed from Dr Keene's office. I met with their office mgr who said he would get back to me asap. He never got back to me. never returned my calls. I sent a letter certified mail to Dr Keene, who also never got back to me. I will take them to small claims court due to their total unequivocal ignorance. .

On my last visit, he was talking as he walked in the door before I ever laid eyes on him. Initially, I thought he was speaking to somebody in the hallway, but then I realized he was addressing me and already starting my visit. Every time I see him, I am uncomfortable. I am a pretty outspoken and independent person, but I find myself feeling defensive and argumentative in his presence. He questioned the actions of my gynecologist, who takes a whole body approach, only to find out that her recommendation to have my thyroid investigated, turned into a partial thyroidectomy. Then after he referred me to another surgeon, there was zero follow up. There was nothing even on the record that I have been recommended to the surgeon , so I had to ask them to do their job and obtain my records.... I'm definitely switching before my next physical. Every time I've gone in, it's been the same. I completely echo the first review of this physician.

I am a healthy person so usually only go every 6 months for check-ups. On one visit, I was asked why I didn't get the Covid vaccine but got the regular flu shot. I said I already had Covid and I didn't think there was enough testing done and didn't want to be a guinea pig. I got a 15 minute lecture, he was condescending and talked to me like I was either a child or very ignorant. I should have walked out but thought better of any drama. Things got worse after that with a mysterious physical ailment was misdiagnosed and caused a hospitalization. Horrible doctor, I do not recommend.

About two weeks ago my mom was admitted after a stroke and everyone from the ER triage nurses to the people delivering meal trays were just so nice, helpful and patient with my mother and kept our family up to date with things regarding her health. Since we spent a few long days at the hospital we were given a cart with tea, coffee, bottled water, soft drinks, fruit and snacks every day that were were there. That was completely unexpected and so appreciated. I especially appreciate the nurses in the Neuro ICU unit and the nurses in the third floor comfort care unit. Their compassion and was incredible especially since such an awful time in our lives. They have a DD downstairs in the lobby and a cafeteria where the food actually isn't bad at all. They even provide meals free of charge sent to the patient's room if you want.

Her internal bleeding went undiagnosed for about eight hours despite glaring signs. Once imaging was finally ordered and active internal bleeding was confirmed, surgery was delayed for roughly seven more hours. In the meantime, the doctor ordered mass blood transfusion in an improper way that worsened her condition instead of stabilizing her, while failing to move the central line that was improperly placed and that the radiologist recommended be repositioned. HCA Healthcare has faced no consequences, and there is no way for people researching physicians through the Florida Department of Health (DOH), the medical licensing board, to see what happened to my daughter. Because she was 25, unmarried, and had no children, Florida's 'Free Kill' law strategically blocked me from pursuing legal recourse to ensure the hospital and its physicians are held accountable so the harm does not continue.
