Do NOT book a CAR RENTAL through Allegiant! (They are a "No Refund" airline, according to Allegiant agent.) 1. You CANNOT KNOW before flying and getting your car what the TOTAL PRICE will be! -The car rental company charges additional taxes and fees! -Directly calling Alamo did not help...they cannot tell you what they willbe charging when you arrive. 2. If you CANCEL, you get a CREDIT VOUCHER with Allegiant that must be used within ONE year. (In my case, over $800.) 3. You must CALL Allegiant to change or cancel anything to do with car. - Anytime you call, expect to wait a MINIMUM of 30 minutes and the call is not free. Allegiant does not have an 800 or 888 number posted on their website under "Contact Us" or anywhere else I could find. IN GENERAL, I only take Allegiant when I want a direct flight to a remote location that is not serviced by any other airline. Any Allegiant FLIGHT comes with costs most other airlines do not charge: --Additional fees are charged for even basic things and the agents will demand payment, including WATER on the planes (that they often don't cool in advance), printing boarding pass, any advance seat selection, etc. --Be careful with the size of your bags, the gate agents are strict and the sizes and weights are less than other airlines. --Customer service is very spotty and the old planes are dingy. Allegiant is the worst airline for businessman. You can forget reading or trying to get work done because they never shut up on the microphone. Every five minutes they make some stupid announcement about rewards, credit cards, a contest, the altitude, or the weather. They don't have USB ports or any means of charging your phone or laptop AND NO WIFI. The little trays on the back of the seat are about 4 inches smaller than any other airline. I didn't buy this flight because it was cheap, I paid for it because it was the soonest one out. read more
