Worst airline EVER !!…read more Me and 3 others were supposed to fly out of New Orleans march 16th at 5:10am .. We got there at 2am ... they didn't open their ticket counter / baggage counter till 3:45am Not only that but they admitted they were short staffed and had all 5 lines converge into a single line in the middle which made it take 3x longer to get our bags dropped and get to TSA . Also I had pre requested wheel chair help because I was injured and couldn't walk at the time . The clerk at the counter told me . And this is an exact quote " sorry where short staffed today , we have too many call out s , your gonna have to deal with it your self " which they legally have to provide wheel chair assistance .. Well long story short we didn't get to the ticket counter because of their short staffing till right before 5am ... then through tsa and the flight had already taken off .. Their best option was to rebook us on another flight. The next day in the afternoon and we wouldn't arrive till almost midnight ... over 32 hours AFTER we were supposed to already be there ... this would leave just 1 full day for our small vacation so we said no thank you .. give us our refund because that is not acceptable .. But it was their short staffing that caused this issue in the first place . So I emailed them and requested they cover the cost of our non refundable Airbnb because this was caused by what the even consider Controllable issues . They could have atleast offered what they give to those who need to be bumped to another flight considering this was their fault . Which is $2150 per person . But they basically told us to deal with it and accept that they ain't doing jack sh*t for us , they are the absolute worst Not to mention the wheelchair assistance issue . My suggestion is to NEVER fly Southwest Airlines,.. they are terrible and have garbage customer service !!!!

Personally I vowed I'd never give them more than 1 star after they cancelled a trip on us last year and refused to give us a refund and I only got our $$ back by playing hard ball through our credit card company. On a later trip, Spirit double charged me due to an issue with one of their airport kiosks and again, I had to fight for them to make it right. On this particular trip, everything went fine. Flights took off and landed on schedule, staff were friendly and when I made a minor mistake and realized it shortly after I'd booked this trip, I called Spirit and after being on hold for a while, they were actually helpful and accommodating, which was a welcome change. Maybe they've had a bit of an attitude adjustment?

The check-in process was smooth, and the seats were comfortable, with ample legroom, making the flight enjoyable for both of us. The Partake Classic Grahams are arguably the best air snacks ever! There are also plenty of food and restaurant options, which was a nice surprise. While it's not one of the largest airports I've been through, it still has everything you need and never felt overcrowded or difficult to navigate. Overall, it was a smooth, stress-free experience, and I'd definitely be happy to fly through Louis Armstrong Airport again.

The lady who checked us in was the same lady who boarded us on the flight. No snacks on the plane, well, at least not the free ones. No TVs on the plane. Hard small seats. You can not bring anything extra, they charge for everything. On our flight to New Orleans their were two ladies across the aisle from us, when the third passenger didn't show for the outside seat the lady in the middle seat moved over into the aisle seat only to be told by the flight attendant that she could only move into that seat if she wanted to pay extra for it. When they say one bag on flight they mean one bag including purses. Plan accordingly, because they will stick to their rules and charge you if they can! The flight going was safe and my bags didn't get lost so I guess that is all that matters. I will fly again for the cheap price; however, if any other airline had flights for the same price I would easily choose to fly with another carrier. Happy Yelping :)
